Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Do You Like My Gift?

A heavy silence hung over the meeting chamber. Thirty of the highest-ranking leaders of Gang Nagas sat around a massive iron table, their gold rings glinting under the dim warehouse lights. Outside, over a thousand gangsters filled the surrounding area—armed, restless, and waiting.

At the center of it all sat Rajendran Bala.

He exhaled slowly, swirling his whiskey glass. The tension in the room was suffocating. The gang was on the verge of panic, waiting for him to deliver answers.

His cold gaze swept across the gathered men.

"Good news first." His voice was smooth, but his fingers tightened slightly around the glass. "Our wealth is secured. There was always a backup plan." He leaned back slightly. "Raja Mahendran—Raja Sekaran's elder brother—will take charge. He's already making his way here from India. We will not crumble."

A collective sigh rippled through the leaders. Relief. Some even smirked, arrogance creeping back into their eyes.

"And now… the bad news."

The room turned silent again.

Rajendran placed his glass down, his fingers tapping lightly against the table. His next words were slow, deliberate.

"We still don't know who's behind Raja Sekaran's arrest."

A few leaders tensed.

"Joseph Fernandez?" one of them asked.

Rajendran scoffed. "A mere puppet. Someone gave him that evidence. Someone orchestrated everything." His voice dropped lower. "And now, the High Command from India has given an order."

The leaders leaned in.

"We must retrieve Raja Sekaran and his family. No matter what."

The weight of his words settled heavily in the room.

"Right now, the only lead we have is Raja Sekaran's stepbrother's family." Rajendran's voice darkened. "I want every single one of them brought to me. Beat the truth out of them. Find out who's really behind this."

Their eyes gleamed with bloodlust.

But before anyone could react—

THUNK!

A knife flew through the air, embedding itself deep into the table—just inches from Rajendran's hand.

Silence.

From the darkest corner of the room, three figures emerged.

Like ghosts materializing from the void.

The air grew colder. The gangsters—men who had faced death and war—felt their breath hitch.

Leading them was Athavan.

Dressed in a black dhoti and shirt, his presence was both regal and menacing. His sharp, unreadable eyes held no fear—only absolute authority. Beside him stood Mathew and an elite Death Troop warrior.

Rajendran's bodyguards instantly reached for their guns—

"Don't you dare."

Mathew's voice cut through the air like a blade.

The bodyguards hesitated. Something about the way these three carried themselves—their absolute lack of fear—made them freeze.

Rajendran exhaled slowly. His years in the underworld had taught him one thing: these people were different.

His eyes flickered toward Athavan. "And who might you be?"

Athavan tilted his head slightly. "I'm the man you were just looking for."

A ripple of unease spread through the room.

Athavan stepped forward, tapping the knife embedded in the table. "Your final verdict just sealed your fate."

Outside – The Silent Execution Begins

Beyond the warehouse walls, the underworld was about to face its worst nightmare.

Fifteen figures emerged from the shadows.

No sound. No hesitation. Like death itself had come.

Then—

THOOMP! THOOMP! THOOMP!

A series of gas canisters launched into the crowd.

A dense, unnatural mist exploded through the air.

The gangsters reacted immediately, grabbing their weapons—

But something was wrong.

The gas clung to their bodies. Their vision blurred. Their limbs grew weak.

One by one—

They collapsed.

A gangster tried to raise his gun—

His fingers refused to move.

Screams turned into choked gasps. Panic spread like wildfire.

And then—

Silence.

Moments later, five container trucks rolled into the factory area.

Inside

A guard stumbled into the room, coughing violently. His eyes were bloodshot, his body trembling.

"B—Boss! It's—cough—"

He collapsed.

The gang leaders jumped to their feet, grabbing their weapons.

Athavan didn't move.

He simply watched.

One by one, the gangsters began dropping.

Rajendran's own limbs felt heavy. The room spun. His vision blurred.

Before he could react—

Darkness took him.

Thirty Minutes Later –

Police sirens filled the air.

Joseph Fernandez stepped out of his patrol car, his heart pounding.

The news he had received was unbelievable.

The police unit stationed nearby had reported that all movement and noise from the warehouse had suddenly ceased.

That was impossible.

Gang Nagas gathering was supposed to be a riot waiting to happen.

Instead—absolute silence.

As Joseph cautiously stepped into the compound, his heartbeat quickened.

The sight before him was… unreal.

Hundreds of gangsters were tied up—neatly arranged like an offering.

Every most-wanted criminal was there. But something was missing.

Joseph's eyes widened.

"Where are the rest?"

An officer ran up to him. "Sir, we… we estimated at least 1,000 people gathered tonight."

Joseph's blood turned cold. "And?"

The officer swallowed hard. "Only 400 are here."

Joseph's heartbeat pounded in his ears. "What about the other 600?"

The officer shook his head. "Gone. Vanished."

A tied-up gangster suddenly woke up, eyes wide with terror.

"They… they came from the shadows," he whispered. "They weren't human."

Joseph clenched his fists. Athavan… what the hell have you done?

He rushed into the meeting area.

The scene inside was even worse.

All of Gang Nagas highest-ranking leaders were hanging upside down.

Including Rajendran Bala.

A fugitive for the last eight years, now captured without a fight.

Joseph's phone vibrated.

A text message.

From Athavan.

"Do you like my gift?"

Another officer ran up to him, panting. "Sir… Sir!"

Joseph turned, still processing the insanity of what was in front of him. "What now?"

The officer struggled to breathe. "Sir, we checked the records. Every single person tied up here—every single one—has multiple proven criminal charges."

Joseph's eyes widened.

"Snatch thefts, robberies, smuggling, kidnappings, drug trafficking… and that's just the start. So many unsolved cases—solved overnight."

Joseph felt dizzy.

He turned back to the hanging bodies of Gang Nagas elite.

Slowly, he exhaled.

"Arrest them all. Summon the trucks. Get every single one of these bastards under control."

As his officers rushed to follow orders, Joseph stared into the darkened sky.

The Gang Nagas empire had fallen.

But now… a new nightmare was about to begin.

He whispered to himself.

"Athavan… I'm now convinced with your myth. You people really are the Devil Liberation Army."
