Rei moved swiftly.
His body blurred, leaping across rooftops with inhuman speed. He wasn't the same weak hunter he had been days ago—his Sovereign System granted him dominion over space itself. Every step covered more ground than should have been possible.
By the time he reached the outskirts of the city, the battle was already over.
Bodies lay in the streets, torn apart by something inhuman. The air reeked of iron and mana.
And at the center of it all, standing atop a pile of corpses, was him.
The second Sovereign.
A man covered in blood, his wild golden eyes reflecting the moonlight. Massive claw marks stretched across his chest, but he didn't seem to care.
His aura pulsed with raw, predatory hunger.
He turned, locking eyes with Rei. Then, he grinned.
"So," he said, cracking his knuckles. "You're the one they're afraid of."
Rei didn't answer. He could already tell—the man before him wasn't human anymore.
He was a Sovereign of Beasts.
And he wanted a fight.
