Chapter 30 - Kiyoshi VS Kakashi

"Kakashi, let's practice, I've learned some swordsmanship recently."

After taking a few steps, Kiyoshi turned his head and said to Kakashi.

Encountering Orochimaru and Tsunade was purely accidental.

He hadn't forgotten the purpose of his visit today, which was to see if he could get a Trait.

Konoha's White Fang is known throughout the ninja world for his swordsmanship, and Minato himself had said that even the Sannin admired him.

This more or less shows that Sakumo had a certain level of strength.

His swordsmanship is likely not simple either.

As for whether the swordsmanship used by Sakumo was created by him or a secret swordsmanship passed down through the Hatake clan?

It is not known.

"Okay."

Kakashi hesitated for a while and then nodded in agreement.

His brain was now like mush. Practicing swordsmanship is a good way to get rid of these distracting thoughts.

He stopped and hurried to another place, saying he was going to get a short sword.

"I have one."

Kiyoshi grabbed the small katana behind him.

Kakashi asked, "Not using a wooden one?"

Kiyoshi said, "No need."

Kiyoshi shook his head.

Practice weapons made of wood have a completely different feel from iron ones.

Once you get used to one, you have to spend time re-adapting to the other, so it's better to use the real deal from the beginning.

Kakashi is a genius and won't really hurt Kiyoshi.

And he has the Sharingan, so he won't be easily hurt and he also won't hurt Kakashi.

"Alright."

Seeing Kiyoshi's request, Kakashi climbed through another window and took out a short sword.

Kiyoshi glanced at it casually. The sword was white, with a slight metallic texture.

Kiyoshi wondered what metal it was made from.

This is definitely not a weapon he can afford.

The small katana in his hand is second-hand, and a very small one at that.

It's not that Kiyoshi doesn't want to buy a bigger one. It's just that a bigger sword will cost much greater.

Kiyoshi's financial resources don't support him squandering like that.

"Let's begin."

Kakashi and Kiyoshi went to a relatively open area in the courtyard.

"Okay."

Kiyoshi nodded.

As soon as Kiyoshi had said so, Kakashi had already drawn his sword and had rushed ahead.

The blade cut through the air, bringing a sharp wind.

Kiyoshi's eyes narrowed, and he quickly raised his hand and swung his katana to block.

Although Kakashi's sword strike was fast, the training he had done and the skills he had gained during this period had greatly strengthened his physical body, enough to withstand it.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The sound of blades clashing echoed in the courtyard.

Occasionally, a faint light flashed between the blades, instantly extinguished in the swing.

Kiyoshi frowned. Kakashi's swordsmanship was indeed good.

Compared to his immature swordsmanship, Kakashi pressed forward step by step, his movements precise and swift, without any unnecessary gaps.

'Even if I don't get a Trait, finding and fixing my weaknesses is also good.' Kiyoshi thought to himself.

His stamina is better than Kakashi's.

Even if his movements take more time and effort than Kakashi's, the Yotsuki clan's talent and the Trait bonus can allow him to last for a while.

With enough time, he can find out where he is lacking.

Inside the house

"That guy, he didn't even say hello to me..."

Shizune secretly watched Kiyoshi leave.

Last time, she was curious and kept staring at Kiyoshi, and he had found out.

This experience had left a deep impression on Shizune.

"He's becoming more and more like them." Shizune muttered to herself.

In just the past few days, Shizune could feel that Kiyoshi had grown taller.

Carrying a small katana on his back, he happened to cover the Uchiha clan's crest.

He was getting closer and closer to the dark-skinned Kumo ninjas she imagined.

The only difference was that Kiyoshi's skin was not as dark and his lips were not as thick.

"What are you distracted by?"

Tsunade's words brought Shizune back to her senses.

Shizune said, "I'm sorry, Tsunade-sama."

Tsunade said, "You go out too."

Tsunade's expression gradually became serious. She looked at Shizune.

The less you know about this matter, the safer. If a ninja knows too much unnecessary information, it will be harmful to themselves.

"Yes... Tsunade-sama."

Shizune hurriedly packed the sealed scrolls in her bag, then lowered her head and went out.

"Hehe, so young."

Orochimaru said, his mouth opening and closing at an exaggerated angle.

Then, he spat out a scroll covered in mucus from his throat.

"Orochimaru, don't be so disgusting like a snake!" Tsunade said with disgust.

"Alright, Sakumo, let's get down to business."

Outside the courtyard, Shizune hurried out.

She was planning to stroll around nearby when suddenly a crisp sound of blades colliding caught her attention.

"What are Kiyoshi and Kakashi doing?"

She raised her eyes and looked ahead. Through the wooden fence of the courtyard, she could see Kiyoshi and Kakashi not far away.

"Kakashi's father is the legendary White Fang, Kiyoshi is actually competing in swordsmanship with Kakashi?"

Shizune was surprised.

She and Kiyoshi were also in the same class. However, Shizune was usually very low-key.

Ever since her uncle Kato Dan had died, Tsunade had kept her by her side.

She remembered that Kiyoshi hadn't had much sparring experience.

The only time he sparred was when he had won against Obito.

Shizune became interested and walked towards the two.

A few minutes later

A thin layer of sweat formed on Kiyoshi's forehead. His stamina was not bad.

If it were a wooden sword, he wouldn't be so tired now.

But the small katana in his hand is a real sword made of iron, and its weight is not light.

Kiyoshi said, "Kakashi, your swordsmanship is good. It looks like I have to get serious too."

Kiyoshi closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, his left eye already had a touch of scarlet, as if it was dripping with blood.

A tomoe slowly circled and rotated.

Kakashi's movements instantly slowed down in Kiyoshi's eyes.

The moment Kiyoshi activated his Sharingan, Kakashi's movements paused, and he thought.

'Sharingan.'

There are a few Uchihas in the other classes, but only Kiyoshi has awakened the sharingan.

Only a minority of ninjas in the Uchiha clan can awaken the Sharingan.

This is the first time Kakashi is facing an Uchiha with the Sharingan.

He tightly gripped the hilt of his sword, wanting to win with speed.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The swords in their hands kept colliding.

Kakashi raised an eyebrow, his gaze gradually becoming serious.

After a few rounds of confrontation, Kiyoshi gradually transitioned from passive defense to active offense.

The following confrontation became completely different.

Every time Kakashi drew his sword, his actions seemed to have been accurately predicted by Kiyoshi.

His previously effortless rhythm was gradually disrupted.

Clang!

Kiyoshi took advantage of Kakashi's brief opening to counterattack.

His blade brushed past Kakashi's short sword, bringing a crisp metallic hum.

Kakashi took a step back, his hand holding the sword tightened slightly, and his expression no longer relaxed.

Kakashi said, "I see, the Sharingan can not only see through the enemy's movements, but even elevate one's own reaction to another level..."

"That's right, this is the power of the Sharingan." Kiyoshi nodded.

Once the Sharingan is activated, the user's insight will be amplified.
