Before any more interaction could happen someone unexpected arrives, Ram of all people. 'Ram is here?! Should she. Ot be at the mansion or something? Is this something that was in the light novel that Ram was here with Emilia?'
"I finally found you miss Emilia" she gives a bow and apologizes to Emilia. "I had accidentally lost you and only found you here by luck. I hope that nothing bad happened to you"
"Oh Ram! It's fine that we separated... Or maybe it would have been better if we did not get separated, because allot of stuff happened..." She answers and then starts to explain everything in detail to Ram
When she was retelling the events of today. Ram was giving her the iconic neutral face that Ram has to everything. 'Thats Ram for you'
"Now we should go back to Roswaals mansion. There Subaru can have a proper rest while he is recovering" said Emilia and to this gave a nod. Ram then uses a spell that lift's Subaru while Emilia and I start to walk out
As it was already night, we went to where Emilia and Ram where staying in their time at the capital. Nothing of note happened under this time except the occasional suspicious look she gave me and the unconscious Subaru.
When the next day arrived we set off early in the day. While the girls where getting a carriage, I awaited for them outside of the city. While being outside, I took the time to enjoy the beauty of the city and nature
When they finally arrive with the carriage they stopped besides me, Ram asked me "Hop on Mr Lu Bu"
Before I give my answer of confirmation and jumping on, I thought came to me.
'Maybe I should act more prideful. Because in the end that was Lu Bu's major personality and in the what doomed him. Even if I was never that prideful, I should probably do it more to ease myself into my new life's
"It is Lord to you maid." And while looking at the dragon that carries the carriage I am reminded that I have my own way of transportation, Red Hare. "And no I will not jump on for I have my on steed" and then I give a whistle. 'Whistling is PROBABLY what I need to do to summon him...'
After Whistling, the sounds of a horse was hear, non other than Red Hare. As it stopped besides me I gave gave it a friendly pat and than sat on it's back
"... I see... Lord Lu Bu, than let's begin our journey". Ram replied and even a little confused of how a horse could be bigger than an earth dragon...
"Wow Lu Bu! Your horse looks amazing!" Emilia exclaimed as a excited child. "Hm, yes Red Hare is the finest horse to ever live" I replied
"Horses are not used in Lugnica as they are not as strong as earth dragons, but... Red Hare was it? Could probably win against any earth dragon!" Emilia continued
After that it was a pretty quiet ride for an hour or two. Until Emilia asked me from her carriage, that she and the still unconscious Subaru is in
"Lu Bu... Could I ask you a question that has been on my mind?" I answer with a simple reply "What?"
"You said before that you would maybe seek out someone to work of. What is it that you seek?"
Her question made me think of what Lu Bu saw in, for example Dong Zhuo. 'Well that would be probably for greed right? He did betray Ding Yuan for a bigger reward that Dong Zhuo. In fact that was usually the reason for betrayal, someone offered something better.'
'Even if greed is something that steered him, it was also probably pride. There is a reason why he looked at himself as no one's equal. The system even support this as it was a reason that made me kill Subaru, he showed disrespect and that would have hurt Lu Bu's pride, even if it was someone insignificant I'm his eyes'
As I conclude my evaluation on what at least would drive Lu Bu to join someone, argue with my self if I should be honest with Emilia. And in the end I decide on just telling. The reason is that when I start to be more of an ass then at least she won't feel that I tricked her.
'Because if I think of it rationally, if in the future I make enemies with Emilia than that would be mean enemies with Subaru. With Subaru in the equation, who knows who I would have to fight? Probably everyone, until Subaru can finally find a way to win. And with me not going through every restarts that Subaru has gone through. Who knows if it would be our first fight, third or god forbid 40 time. I'm not taking any chances'
"I am a man that will fight for similar things as everyone. Wealth and ambition. I don't care for any chivalry code, I don't care if I have to slaughter a village, an army or a king. If any stand in my way my way than they shall face the might of Lu Bu!"
An awkward silence was between us. As in simple terms I said "Give me something for my greed, a high ambitious potition and a good fight. Than I will probably kill a family of 4 for you".
Emilia breaks silence and asks "I don't if I can meet your expectations for someone that you would want to work for... But I can give it a try if you want to join me! Roswaal is plenty rich and I need someone strong to inspire confidence for the selection!"
"And besides you are are also one of the few people to ever show me kindness, despite being a half elf and looking like..." She stops herself from saying HER name Bu then says. "So you can't be that bad of a person!"
And added. "But you need stop saying that you will kill innocent people so much!

Frustrated I agree with the system and say to Emilia. "No." And then continued "Anything I do will be from my own choice of freedom, if I follow your orders but deny me something that I would want than I will not continue to follow your orders"
Emilia, almost taken aback and a bit confused by what I said begins saying. "But you just said that if I woul-". Before she is able to say anything else I interrupt her by saying.
"Just because you have satisfied my request does not mean you have earn any loyalty from me, following someone blindly like a loyal dog in my eyes, without a true reason at least, is disgraceful and no better than betrayal in my eyes."
"And denying my goals, ambitions and will is something none would be able to buy. So you got to prove yourself to me, and maybe than I would even consider doing something that I personally would disagree with." She goes to say something but I don't let her. "I'm following you, for now. And don't add anything else to this conversation. Because you have nothing to change my mind or add. And this conversation bores me." And make Red Hare move forward a bit faster, until I am besides the front part of the carriage.
While moving forward I catch a glimpse that Ram has been listening in mine and Emilias conversation. But it is quite hard to understand what she is thinking under that cold persona.
After a few minutes we see a carriage that is galloping full speed to us. On it is a man that looks very scared and begin screaming at us. "Turn away!"
'What could it possibly be now?!' I take my halberd that was on my back and prepare myself while yelling at the man. "Who are you, and why are you telling us to turn away?!"
As the man gets closer he begins to slow down and begins telling us. "There are bandits on the road from where I came from! From what I could notice. It was around 1000 of them! You see I'm a traveling merchant and on my way to the capitals I was stopped by this damned bandits. They killed all of my guards and took everything I had!"
"So I must inform the authorities of this so they can do something against them!" My mind became blank as of this event is nothing I'm familiar with from the anime. And the number of the bandits being to around 1000 is absurd. At least for Re:Zero standards.

At this I got different replys. "W-what, you can?!" Said the merchant. "No you will not! It's to dangerous! I don't want to see you hurt!" Said Emilia in protest. While Ram gave a small hint of questioning my rationality.
"I require a warm up after not being able to fight at all today. Even if it morning it's no excuse to not have swinged my own weapon at all yet, so leave merchant and tell the ones in the capital that Lu Bu will leave a mountain of corpses!"
At my declaration the merchant became fearful, as if he was looking at a dangerous beast but answered none the less. "I-I understand sir, than don't let me stop you. I will pray for your success!" And he left.
After the man left Emilia immediately began to scold me. "I know that you really like fighting... Even if I don't get why, but going in a fight like that is to dangerous. Even for you, so I won't allow you."
I turn my gaze at her and my face is in the form of a scowl. "Don't you remember anything from what I said before? I will do what I wish to do. And if it is to slaughter some weak incest than so be it."
Still with a determined face she jumped out of the carriage and stood in front of me and Red Hare with a defiant face. "I won't let you throw your life away like this, so please stop!"

'Dammit why do you need to make this so difficult for me Emilia?' I took a deep breath and said. "You underestimate my strength, I am used to being out numbered but never out powered. This will be just like that, so if you don't move than I will have no second thought of taking your head right here, right now"
Ram being cautious of the interaction prepared her want if I would do such an action. But before anything could escalate I began to gallop besides Emilia and move towards the location of the bandits, just before Emilia could say anything. "Ram we must follow him and at least do something to help!"
With the speed of Red Hare I arrived quite fast and was met with the so called bandits. From what I could see, it was around 20. One of them began trying to order me. "You big guy! Drop your weapon and any valuables befo-" I sliced him with the halberd before he could continue.
"I was promised 1000 bandits, where are they?!" I said in a very angry tone, after all I was promised 1000, and with the possibility that the merchant was still in the air.
None of the bandits answered because of the fear they felt from me killing one of their comrads. So I sliced another one. "Answer me fools!"
Finally one them answered. "T-t-t-they are at the direction over there!" While he was pointing to a nearby forest. "That's where our camp is, I don't know why you would want to go there but please spare my life!"
"No" and than sliced him in half. The others began to flee in terror. But being reminded of the quest that gave the highest reward if I killed 1000, I gave chase and swiftly cut them down.
'Killing 20 people was allot easier than I thought... I don't like taking life, but sadly I am forced by this system. After all would Lu Bu ever spare people he fought if they did not peak his interest? I would think not'
I took a deep breath, and looked at the forest. "Time to show my strength as a one man army."
