Chapter 5 - The Developer Has Some Guts! Kafka’s Ultimate Skill

Seeing the scene before her, Guinaifen was momentarily stunned.

She had been so immersed earlier that she almost forgot this was just a game.

Even though it was turn-based, she still found it quite interesting.

The richness of the visuals made her eager to give it a try.

"Hey, can I give it a try?"

"Of course."

Tatsuke had been waiting for this.

Guinaifen set up her livestream phone to capture the game screen at a fixed angle.

Then, she explained to her viewers, "Don't be too disappointed, everyone. Even though it's a turn-based game, the level of detail in the graphics is top-notch compared to other games out there."

"Let's keep playing for a bit longer before we judge it."

...

[Chat]

"Xiao Guizi is right! I support her!"

"Haha, not to be rude, but turn-based games are boring. Still, Kafka's design is pretty hot."

"Wait, you're ogling Kafka? Do you know she's one of the most dangerous criminals in the galaxy?"

"Careful, she might track you down and pluck your eyeballs out (threatening)."

"I'm just talking about the in-game character, not the real Kafka…"

...

Meanwhile.

Guinaifen followed the in-game prompts and controlled Kafka to use a basic attack.

A clean, swift slash.

By the second round.

She could use a skill.

Kafka shifted from holding her blade to the side to positioning it horizontally in front of her.

"Let's just take them all out."

This time, it was a more aggressive three-hit combo, with the final strike creating a web-like effect.

With a crisp shattering sound, the monster's Lightning weakness was broken.

Two monsters fell instantly.

[Battle Ended]

"Huh? That's it?"

Guinaifen couldn't help but complain.

"I didn't even get to go all out."

"This is Kafka, the Stellaron Hunter we're talking about!"

"Controlling a character like this feels so different, everyone!"

...

[Chat]

"I thought it would be the usual 'you hit me, I hit you' kind of thing. It's not as simple as I imagined."

"The animations are pretty flashy."

"Streamer, streamer, go fight another monster!"

"Yeah, I didn't get a good look last time."

...

At the viewers' request.

Guinaifen continued to guide Kafka deeper into the space station, looking for more monsters to fight.

At the same time.

Kafka's conversations with her companions played in the background.

"When did the Antimatter Legion become so weak?" Kafka mused.

"This is all the forces I could lure here. You don't want the Legion's main forces to notice this place, do you?"

"With just these weaklings, we can't hold back the Astral Express crew."

"Don't worry, a Doomsday Beast is on its way."

Reading the dialogue, Guinaifen's eyes lit up with understanding.

She explained to her viewers, "So the Stellaron Hunters aren't here to help."

"In fact, they're the ones who brought the Antimatter Legion here!"

"They're planning to take advantage of the chaos to carry out their own scheme!"

"As expected of the Stellaron Hunters. Their methods are terrifying!"

About half of the viewers were more interested in the game's story than its gameplay.

Guinaifen's explanation sparked their curiosity.

...

[Chat]

"Is this game going to be told from the Stellaron Hunters' perspective?"

"It seems like the game is starting with a bang. I just hope it can stick the landing."

"I have to say, the developer has some guts. Aren't they afraid of getting sued by the Interastral Peace Corporation or hunted down by the Stellaron Hunters?"

...

Passing through a spacious corridor.

The walls were lined with portraits of famous figures.

All of them real, well-known individuals.

This made the livestream viewers even more excited.

Could this game really be based on real-life events?

Soon.

After traversing the hallway, they reached the interior of the space station.

Attack the Voidrangers!

The second battle began!

"Remember the feeling of breathing."

This time, there were five enemies.

Kafka unleashed her attacks as before, and then it was the enemies' turn.

The Voidrangers' dual-blade attacks looked painful.

At that moment.

The icon next to Kafka's character portrait in the bottom-left corner lit up.

[Energy Fully Charged. Activate Ultimate Skill Now.]

Guinaifen immediately complied.

"Hum—!"

A flash of Kafka's umbrella-wielding illustration appeared.

Her stance shifted from holding a blade to dual-wielding submachine guns.

"All good things must come to an end~"

At the same time.

Dark purple energy swirled around her.

Building up.

The attack button on the right indicated that this ultimate skill was an area-of-effect attack.

Guinaifen licked her lips and tapped the screen!

"It's time to say goodbye."

What followed.

Was an absolutely breathtaking scene for everyone watching!

Kafka, wielding two submachine guns, seemed to dance through the horde of monsters.

Spinning, leaping, eyes closed—

Surrounded by the glow of gunfire, silvery lines, and flying bullets…

It was a masterpiece of motion.

After the barrage ended.

The screen focused on Kafka's face for a close-up.

She made an explosion gesture with her hand.

And softly whispered a single word.

"Boom~"

"Zzzzzzzzzzz—"

The monsters were obliterated in a storm of bullets, and even the screen shook.

When it was all over, every single monster was annihilated.

Not a single one remained!

Silence—

Complete silence!

Even the livestream chat froze for several seconds.

To be continued…
