Chapter 2 - FEED ME

Feed me… Feed me… Feed me…"

"Fuck!" Damien woke up sweating heavily, his heart racing as those eerie voices echoed in his head.

"Huh… just a dream?" he muttered, wiping his face.

"Damien, are you okay? I heard your voice," his mom called from outside his room.

"Yeah, Ma… I'm okay," he replied, forcing himself to sound calm.

But again, the whisper returned — "Feed me… Feed me…"

Damien let out a nervous chuckle. I must be starving… That's why I'm hearing things.

He got up and walked to the kitchen. "Ma, I'm hungry," he admitted.

His mom smiled. "That's rare! You don't usually come around until food is ready."

"Yeah… felt like helping today."

His mother laughed. "Well, the side dishes are already on the dining table. Go and help yourself."

"Thanks, Ma."

Damien walked into the dining room — and froze. The table was filled with food. Dishes that could easily be main courses in any top-class restaurant were laid out like a feast

Damien sat down and took a bite. The rich flavors exploded in his mouth, and he ate a few more bites before feeling full.

But just as he thought he was done… the voice returned —

"Feed me… Feed me…"

Damien blinked, staring at his half-eaten meal. "What the hell…? Am I still dreaming?"

"Feed me…"

Curiosity — or maybe fear — got the better of him. Slowly, he whispered, "Feed."

In an instant, every dish on the table disappeared. A black lightning bolt coiled around Damien's hand.

"What the hell?!" Damien gasped, staring at the swirling black energy.

"Damien! Are you alright?" His mother's voice rang out as she rushed in.

The moment she appeared, the black lightning vanished.

"I… I'm fine, Ma," Damien answered quickly, forcing a smile.

His mother's eyes darted to the empty table. "Did… you finish all the food by yourself?"

Damien paused, thinking quickly. If I tell her the truth, she'll never believe me.

"Yeah… I guess I was hungrier than I thought," he lied.

His mom blinked in shock. "Let me make you more food."

Damien shook his head. "No need, Ma. I'll handle it. I am the next best chef, remember?"

She chuckled. "Alright, I'll leave it to you."

After his mom left, Damien sighed in relief — but the moment didn't last long.

"Feed me… Feed me…"

The voice was back.

Damien clenched his fists. "Seriously… What do you want from me?"

Still, his curiosity pushed him further. He walked back to the table, prepared more food, and stared at it.

"Feed me…"

Gritting his teeth, Damien whispered, "Feed."

Once again, black lightning curled around his hand. The newly prepared food disappeared, leaving not even a crumb behind.

His heart pounded. What the hell is this power?

From behind the door, his mom called out, "Damien? Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, Ma… just… experimenting," he replied, trying to stay calm.

But inside, Damien knew — this wasn't over. Whatever this voice was, it was far from satisfied.

And it was only the beginning.
