Axel just stood there, thinking how in the original plot, there was no such act, and in his entire life, Odion had to register only his first name, for he never knew to which family he belonged. Since Axel was the very last recruit, he glanced towards Arthur constantly, his gaze sharp, in a trance.
"This was not in the FREAKING PLOT! I SWEAR THIS MAN IS PLOTTING TO GET ME KILLED!" - Axel shrieked inwardly. Arthur too gave him that ideal smile of his, which annoyed the crimson-eyed man to the core.
Suddenly, out of the blue, Arthur threw his dagger towards a man standing at the back of the crowd, his eyes screaming murderous intent. The man fell as the dagger hit his lateral neck and blood oozed out, creating a gory mess. Everybody was shocked by such conduct, but nobody dared to say a word. Many indeed had horrified faces, but they did not scream.
Axel's face went pale and he became petrified at the scene. Witnessing such a disturbing event was definitely not how Axel expected his first day to go. Such an atrocious man, he was! So merciless!
"But he didn't even ask or inspect that man, how could he just…kill him like that? The novel wasn't wrong, was it? I have to keep my watch,"- he thought in panic.
After committing such a ruthless act, Arthur even had the guts to…smile? He smiled in pleasure as if nothing had happened. He was aware that people had become terrified, so to lighten the mood and explain himself, he bowed down before the people as he spoke-
"My dear recruits, I'm well aware that you have become startled by this sudden act of mine. But let me elucidate the matter. If you check his dead body, you will find a poisonous dagger hidden beneath his black cloak. I understood his ulterior motives just a minute ago and got rid of him to avoid any mishaps…" Turns out that when Elias volunteered to check the dead body, he indeed found a dagger surrounded by some purple mist. "His highness indeed killed the right man!"- he remarked.
Then Arthur smirked and slowly turned his head to face the young and handsome Axel, meeting his gaze as he gently spoke- "I hope I will be forgiven…"

"Did you see how cool his grace was? He identified the terrorist hidden among the crowd so easily!" Elias stated with fascination. The two friends sat at the legion's cafeteria, which also had an elegant appeal. It was lunchtime, and to escape the heat, they decided to lounge at the cafeteria.
"Yes…but he should have also been considerate and arrested him…not straight away kill him."- Axel commented as he felt that the killing was quite unnecessary.
"Hey! He's the Grand Duke…He has way more experience than us. I'm sure he thought before he acted."
"Hey guys! Mind if I join you?"- a deep female voice spoke behind them.
The two turned their heads to face the person. It was a tall and healthy woman with medium-length black hair and deep gray eyes. She held a warrior-like aura. She had a sand-coloured skin tone which complemented her nude lips, and a sharp Greek nose. She wore random grey and black clothes, which covered her entirely, along with a pair of silver earrings.
"Sure! Why not? I am Elias Auclier! Nice to meet you, young miss!" Elias beamed.
"I'm Odion…A-Aubert." Axel replied with a soft, warm smile.
"Oh, I know you! You're the man who is much liked by his grace! I saw you today earlier in the morning...Oh, where are my manners? I'm Darcia Seravelle…I don't have many friends here and I thought you guys would be, you know…cool" She spoke with eloquence and confidence, making it evident that she wasn't just a woman…she was a lady, a lady with power perhaps.
"Much liked by the duke? Is that supposed to be a nickname?"- Axel thought, puzzled, but seeing her tranquil and confident demeanor, he responded-
"I see you are a lady of caliber… I would be more than grateful to have your acquaintance." Axel spoke as he sipped a cup of his brewed freesia tea.
"Ooooohhh… A lady of caliber? Careful, though, I'm fully loaded with sarcasm, Mr. Odion. Oh, and by your words, it becomes quite clear that you're obsessed with books! Might want to work on that," - responded Darcia with a mischievous smile. Elias laughed his heart out at her sassy and cheeky answer. Axel, on the other hand, almost spat his tea on the floor. He had never been humbled like that…not since he came to this world and this woman had insulted him so badly. He could feel the sarcasm in her words, as his cheeks became red with embarrassment.
"STUPID WOMAN! WHY DID I EVEN SAY THAT?! System, are you just going to sit there and watch me getting a reality check?"
Just as he was about to respond, the system window popped in front of him out of no where.
