"That's it for today's lesson. If you have any questions, I will be in my office until 8." With that, the professor for basic mana theory ended the class.
Kuro immediately got up so he could get away from these weird people.
Eli smirks looking at Kuro making a run for it as Lira sneakily looks at Kuro with red blush.
Just as he got to the door, a hand blocked his path forward. Looking at the hand and the person, he sighs in relief since it was not one of the two boys giving him air kisses.
"Look here boy." The person blocking his path stated. "It seems you are too full of yourself, just because of your age."
Kuro looked at the boy and saw he was sneakily glancing at Lira. 'So that's how it is.' He thought. 'It seems this boy has a crush on Lira and is pissed at me because Lira has become interested in me.'
"Is that so?" Kuro replied coolly, not bothering to hide the hint of amusement in his voice. "You think I'm full of myself just because of my age? Or is it the fact that you feel threatened by someone as young as me because the person you like is looking my way?"
The boy didn't back down, his expression turning sour. "I don't care about your age. It is about respect. You don't look like you have respect since you look full of yourself with that arrogance of yours."
Kuro was confused. 'What the hell is this idiot talking about?' He doesn't know how this loser came to that ridiculous conclusion. Without wasting time on this mentally challenged person, Kuro pushes him aside.
The boy felt humiliated when he got pushed aside by someone way younger than him. He doesn't expect Kuro to just push him away like that.
"YOU!! Do you know who I AM!?" The boy yelled out as he pointed his shaking finger at Kuro. "I am Richard Hoyoshil, the son of the Master of Hoyoshil Guild! The 3rd strongest guild in the country!"
Kuro stopped and looked at the boy with wide eyes. The boy smirked seeing Kuro's expression but that smirk immediately went away when he heard what Kuro said next.
"Hoyoshil? Do you mean those mentally retarded idiots who can't take criticism? The one that attacks anyone that criticizes them and thinks differently from them?" Kuro finally realized how this boy was mentally challenged. It was due to his affiliation with other mentally challenged individuals.
Richard's face became livid. Now, it was no longer about impressing some girl. Instead, it is about protecting his and his father's image. He could back down after the insults Kuro made toward his guild.
"I challenge you to a duel!" Richard stated loud enough for everyone to hear.
"A duel?" Kuro said, his voice calm, like he had just been asked about the weather. "Is that what you think will make you feel better? You think a duel is going to fix the fact that you're outclassed mentally and emotionally?"
"Yes!" Richard spat, his fists clenched so tightly his knuckles were turning white. "I challenge you to a duel, and I'll make sure you regret ever disrespecting me and my guild! You'll learn what it means to insult the Hoyoshil Guild!"
Kuro raised an eyebrow when he heard Richard saying 'YES' to his question. 'Did he just admit he is mentally and emotionally retarded?'
Kuro recalled the Shadow Bird and had it dive into Richard's shadow without anyone noticing.
"Why should I accept your challenge when you are weak? I don't have time for every Tom, Dick, and Harry that decide to come after me." Kuro looks at Richard with a bored expression. "How about this? If you can break from one of my skills, I admit defeat and take back my statements about your Hoyoshil Guild. However, if you can't break free by the end of the day, you will run around the academy shouting "I am mentally challenged" for an entire day."
The air around them seemed to freeze at Kuro's words. The audacity of his challenge was so casually cruel that it left Richard momentarily speechless as he puffed up in anger, glaring at Kuro.
"You—!" Richard began, but Kuro cut him off smoothly, his voice calm and unbothered.
"Well, talking with a Hoyoshil is a waste of time. Anyway, best of luck!" Kuro wink at him as he casted his favorite skill that he used on the Hyuga.
"Shadow Possession Jutsu!" Kuro no longer needed to do the handsigns anymore. Also, he doesn't need to use his own shadow anymore for the Jutsu to be used. Instead, he uses the Shadow Bird that is currently inside Richard's shadow.
'Give him the time of his life.' Kuro gave his command to the Shadow Bird.
Richard was already gathering his mana, ready to charge at Kuro when he suddenly felt a chill crawl up his spine. He blinked, and in the next moment, his body started to move on its own. His arms and legs started 'dancing' in weird ways, like his limbs were bird limbs.
Richard's eyes widened in shock as his body jerked involuntarily, completely out of his control. His arms and legs flapped and twitched unnaturally, as if they were no longer his own. His hands curled and straightened in exaggerated, bird-like movements, while his feet began to shuffle awkwardly across the ground, making him resemble a creature caught in a bizarre, mocking dance.
"Wh—what is this?!" Richard yelled, his voice panicked as he tried to stop his own limbs from moving. Every time he attempted to make his body follow his commands, the Shadow Bird within his shadow twisted his movements, forcing his arms and legs to move in ways that were completely unnatural. His limbs flapped about, and his body rocked side to side as if he were mimicking the motions of a bird trying to fly.
The students around them burst into laughter at the sight. Richard, the proud son of the Hoyoshil Guild, was now the unwilling performer in a twisted dance, his body completely at the mercy of Kuro's jutsu. His face turned crimson with embarrassment, his pride slipping further and further as his humiliation grew.
Kuro stood back, watching the spectacle with a bemused expression, his arms folded. "You're doing great, Richard. You've got the moves down. But I think you could use a little more rhythm, don't you?"
Richard's head snapped to Kuro, his eyes full of rage and confusion. "Stop it! I command you to stop!"
But Kuro simply grinned. "I don't know what you are talking about?" With that, Kuro turned around and left. Now that the control is in the hand of the Shadow Bird, he wanted to see what it would do.
Richard looks at Kuro disappearing back. "Get back here! You Coward! Fight me!" He becomes desperate as Kuro walks further and further away.
Richard's eyes widened in terror as his body moved against his will, his legs carrying him toward the academy's most crowded area. His limbs jerked uncontrollably, each step taking him further from his original position, away from the classroom, and into the heart of the academy. Panic gripped his chest, and he desperately tried to regain control.
"No! Let me go!" Richard screamed, but his body ignored him, continuing its forced march toward the bustling area. He could feel his heart pounding in his ears as his limbs flailed, moving like they were no longer his own. Every attempt to break free only made his movements more erratic and ridiculous.
"KURO! STOP! NOOO!!" Richard yelled, but his voice was already fading as he was dragged farther down the hallway. His steps were chaotic, his arms flapping like wings, and his legs twisting in absurd directions. He looked completely out of control, a puppet caught in the strings of some invisible force.
The students inside the classroom couldn't help but watch, the laughter inside growing louder as Richard's increasingly awkward and desperate movements were visible through the open door. Some of them followed after him, curious to see where this bizarre spectacle would go next, while others remained seated, still stunned by the strange chain of events.
"Did... Did that really just happen?" one student whispered, still trying to wrap their mind around what they'd just witnessed.
"I can't believe it!" another student laughed.
The classroom filled with murmurs and chuckles, some students leaning against the walls to get a better look. The whole situation felt unreal to them, like some kind of twisted comedy sketch.
Meanwhile, Richard's desperation only grew. The students following behind him were now openly laughing at his predicament, some even recording the chaos on their mana crystals, eager to show it off later. Richard's face burned with humiliation as he continued to stumble and jerk uncontrollably, his body moving toward the academy's central courtyard—right into the heart of the student body.
Richard felt the world closing in on him as he was forced to spin in circles, his body contorting in all directions. His arms flapped, his legs kicked, and his body twisted and jerked as if he was in the middle of a chaotic performance that no one had asked for.
"Please, Kuro... stop this..." Richard whimpered, but it was too late.
