Chapter 34 - CHAPTER 33

---

"It's typical of me to want to kill you today. I would never wait until tomorrow."

This mindset is exactly why Uchiha Itachi implanted a "Transcription Seal" into his Mangekyō Sharingan before his death—to prevent the Uchiha's power from falling into the wrong hands. It's the same reason he entrusted Shisui's Kotoamatsukami to Naruto Uzumaki.

People like Sasuke Uchiha love deeply and hate fiercely—making them the most prone to walking the path of extremes.

[Sasuke Attacks]

In Ye Dou's original world, Sasuke Uchiha is often nicknamed "Nii-san" or "Two Pillars" by the masses.

This nickname doesn't just refer to him being Uchiha Mikoto's second son. It's also a jab at his "chuunibyou" (middle-school syndrome) behavior—full of drama, pride, and reckless confidence.

Despite having a sharp mind, Sasuke rarely uses it. Before his brother Uchiha Itachi's death, he never truly questioned the motives behind Itachi's actions. He never analyzed the odd behavior of his brother and family on the eve of the massacre. His mind was consumed by a single word: revenge. All he sought was the power to kill Itachi.

"Why? Afraid to challenge me?"

Ye Dou's eyes were calm, almost pitiful. That gaze triggered something deep in Sasuke.

Sasuke's pride in the Uchiha name ran deep. His admiration for Itachi bordered on obsession. All he ever wanted was his father's approval—to hear Fugaku say, "You are indeed my son."

Since joining the Ninja Academy, his goal was singular: surpass everyone. He wanted to outshine the Hyūga prodigies and dominate all his peers.

After witnessing the immense chakra Ye Dou possessed, Sasuke felt uneasy. That discomfort quickly twisted into defiance. He wanted to defeat Ye Dou himself.

Sasuke's flaws—his impatience, his craving for strength, and his compulsive need to compete—were surfacing.

"Reason?"

Ye Dou calmly strapped on his weighted training gear again without even blinking.

"My brother said I couldn't beat you. I want to prove him wrong—to show him I'm stronger."

Sasuke thought Ye Dou had accepted his challenge. Everything wrapped around Ye Dou's body seemed like training weights, not weapons. With that, Sasuke assumed his stance.

"All for a single sentence?" Ye Dou asked.

"That one sentence is enough. The Uchiha are the strongest."

Sasuke was still riding high on pride, convinced he wouldn't lose. He believed he could retrace Itachi's path—dominate the Academy, and crush any so-called prodigy. In his eyes, Ye Dou was just another stepping stone.

"Then tell me—did your brother also say the Hokage is stronger than you?"

"What are you talking about?" Sasuke narrowed his eyes.

"You should challenge the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, if you want to prove you're the strongest ninja in the village."

"W-What?"

Sasuke choked on his words. He hadn't expected that kind of comeback.

Defeat the Hokage?

It was something he dreamt about secretly. If he could pull that off, he might even become the first Uchiha Hokage.

But the reality? He was still a child. Challenging the Hokage? Was Ye Dou insane?

"That's different!"

Sasuke's angry expression twisted. His face flushed as he shouted back at Ye Dou, cursing the boy inwardly for being such a mysterious, smug freak.

"There's no difference," Ye Dou replied coolly. "I'm human. The Third Hokage is human. We all eat the same food. We all feel joy, anger, sadness. Or... do you think the Third Hokage isn't human?"

"Cut the nonsense! You're not escaping today!"

Realizing he couldn't outtalk Ye Dou, Sasuke acted.

He whipped out three kunai with a flick of his wrist and launched them in a tight spread, then dropped low and charged like a panther.

The kunai whistled through the air, forming a deadly triangle that cut off Ye Dou's potential escape routes.

The Uchiha's mastery of shurikenjutsu was unmatched. Their Sharingan granted them dynamic vision that allowed them to predict movement and guide projectiles with pinpoint accuracy—something even the Byakugan of the Hyūga couldn't replicate.

From adults to children, every Uchiha was drilled in the art of kunai and shuriken use from a young age. Uchiha Itachi had elevated it to an art—he could even curve thrown weapons mid-air.

Naturally, Sasuke inherited this skill. Compared to his peers, his precision with thrown weapons was already top-tier.

"A guy my age who's stronger than me? Impossible!"

Once in combat, Sasuke transformed. Still arrogant, yes—but focused, calculating, and intense. His eyes tracked Ye Dou's every move, searching for any weakness.

But his opening salvo was swiftly neutralized.

Ye Dou, calm as ever, swatted away two of the kunai with swift, minimal movements. The third one he sidestepped with ease before driving his foot into the ground—and launching forward.

Rather than retreat, Ye Dou attacked with a straight punch.

Ding! Ding!

Steel clashed.

"He blocked my kunai… with ease?" Sasuke gritted his teeth. "Don't think that's enough to beat me!"

Undeterred, Sasuke threw his own punch, meeting Ye Dou head-on.

At their level—fresh Academy students—they barely knew any jutsu. Fights came down to physical strength and basic tools. Most adults knew the importance of taijutsu, which is why Sasuke's fundamentals were solid.

But against Ye Dou, he was clearly outmatched.

The two clashed repeatedly, fists and kicks flying in rapid succession.

Within moments, Sasuke's limbs began to throb. His punches felt like they were hitting solid stone.

"What kind of training…?"

His fists stung red. Every impact made his bones ache.

His eyes widened.

This guy's body… it's like iron!
