Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 One Week Vacation

With Hamon at his disposal, Kadoya could turn almost anything he touched into a weapon. However, its greatest weakness was clear—if he couldn't breathe, he couldn't recover or use Hamon, which could easily lead to his death.

Just as he was contemplating this new power, a familiar voice called out to him.

"Kadoya!"

Turning around, Kadoya immediately recognized the blond hair, blue eyes, and bright smile of his friend.

"Minato? Didn't think you'd skip class just to see me," Kadoya said, raising an eyebrow. A thought crossed his mind—had he accidentally corrupted Minato?

Minato chuckled as he stepped into Kadoya's yard. "No, I actually got suspended too."

Kadoya: "..."

"...Wait, what?"

"I brought an empty Explosive Tag to class and got suspended. Figured you might feel lonely, so I decided to come over." Minato spoke casually, his usual warm smile never fading.

Kadoya stared at him. "Wait... an empty Explosive Tag?"

Minato nodded.

Realization dawned on Kadoya. If Minato said "empty," he was probably talking about a fake Explosive Tag—one written with regular red ink instead of actual chakra-infused script. Their teacher, a Chunin, could likely tell it was harmless with just a glance.

Yet they still suspended Minato? The Little Sun of their class? The good kid?

Kadoya's eyes narrowed slightly before a smirk tugged at his lips.

So that's how it was.

His own suspension was just for show, and Minato's was probably the same—an excuse to let him off while also giving him time to keep Kadoya company. The teacher must have been playing along.

And sure enough, the moment his suspension took effect, Minato had come straight to his best friend.

Kadoya exhaled through his nose, shaking his head with a chuckle. "I see..."

Minato tilted his head. "What?"

"Nothing," Kadoya replied with a small smile, genuinely happy that Minato hadn't abandoned him.

His smirk returned as he stretched his arms. "Well, since you're here... how about we get right to our usual training?"

Minato grinned back. "Sounds good to me."

...

The two boys sparred in the courtyard of Kadoya's home, exchanging rapid blows in a simple Taijutsu match. However, as their fight continued, Minato grew increasingly concerned—Kadoya's strikes were far stronger than they had been during their school sparring sessions.

Deciding to test the gap between them, Minato used the Body Flicker Jutsu, disappearing in a blur and reappearing behind Kadoya. Without hesitation, he launched a swift kick toward Kadoya's head.

The kick landed cleanly—except, instead of making contact with flesh, Kadoya's body burst into a flock of white birds that scattered into the air.

Minato's eyes widened in amazement. "What the—"

This was Kadoya's new White Doves Disappearing Jutsu, a technique that worked similarly to Itachi's crow substitution in the original series.

"I'm gonna sneak attack now."

Kadoya's voice echoed beside him.

Minato barely had time to turn before—bam!—a kick slammed into his side, sending him rolling across the ground. Pain flared up his arm, and when he pushed himself up, he winced. His left arm was broken.

"Damn... you got stronger again," Minato muttered, cradling his injury.

Kadoya's smirk faded into concern as he moved to help his best friend. "You okay?"

Minato, despite the pain, grinned. "I'm fine. Just a broken bone. A quick visit to Konoha Hospital will fix it in no time." He spoke casually, already used to Kadoya breaking someone's bones during training.

But Kadoya had an idea.

He recalled Force Hamon Breathing, a technique used by Will Anthonio Zeppeli in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure to heal Jonathan Joestar's broken arm. If Hamon could be transferred from one body to another, could this be the key to unlocking Minato's Hamon potential?

"Actually, there's no need for the hospital," Kadoya said with a smirk. "I have a way to heal you."

Before Minato could ask, Kadoya suddenly gut-punched him—his little finger raised slightly to reach the diaphragm. Minato immediately gasped, losing his breath for a moment.

Then, something incredible happened.

Golden, electricity-like sparks flared around Minato's body. His broken bone mended itself in seconds.

Minato flexed his arm, staring in shock. "What the—? My arm… You know healing jutsu?!"

Kadoya swiftly lied, giving only a half-truth. "Not exactly. It's called Hamon, a form of energy similar to the Sun's rays. The human body can produce it through controlled breathing. I just unlocked it recently and figured, since it has self-healing properties, I'd use it to help you."

Minato raised an eyebrow. Then he chuckled. "Yeah, sure. You can keep your secret healing ninjutsu to yourself. No need to lie to me about it."

Kadoya: "…"

Did Minato just dismiss his words entirely and assume he was making up an excuse to hide a 'secret healing jutsu'?

Kadoya suddenly had the urge to beat Minato up, heal him, and then beat him up again.

A mischievous glint flashed in Kadoya's eyes. "Minato, now that I can heal you whenever you get injured… do you know what that means?"

Minato pondered for a moment before smiling. "You can become a medical ninja!"

Kadoya grinned. "I can heal you and beat you up again!"

They spoke at the same time.

Minato: "…"

Kadoya: "…"

An awkward silence settled between them before Kadoya coughed and tilted his head away. "Right. I can become a medical ninja too."

Minato suddenly wanted to leave the Uchiha Compound.

Kadoya Uchiha, do you even hear yourself right now?!

While your friend is excited about your potential future, you're thinking about beating him up, healing him, and then beating him up again.

Even the Devil isn't that cruel!

When you discovered a new healing ability, your first thought was to use it to prolong your friend's suffering.

Even a devil may cry at the thought of being friends with you!

Minato slowly took a step back. "I think I left the stove on at home."

He turned to leave, only to feel his wrist caught in a firm grip.

"You came straight here from school," Kadoya pointed out, his smile eerily cheerful. "So if you really left the stove on, your house has probably burned down by now. Why don't you stay over at my place until it gets rebuilt?"

Cold sweat dripped down Minato's face.

The Little Sun could already sense it.

That sweet, sinister smile.

Sighing in defeat, Minato reluctantly accepted his fate.

...

Some time passed, while Minato hated Kadoya's way of training, getting beaten up before being recovered only to get beaten up again. He couldn't deny, that this way of training although cruel, has helped him grow quite quickly.

Each time his bone got broken and muscle torn, Kadoya would help his body accelerate its regeneration, fixing his bones and muscles, and making them stronger.

What made it worse was that Minato began to get used to the feeling of his body forcefully activating Hamon, so he didn't feel in agony anymore when Kadoya gut-punched him with his pinky finger out.

Minato could feel that his body has become stronger but he also felt than his best friend is a bit too cruel.

"How can you treat your friend like that." Minato complained, although grateful for Kadoya's help in increasing his physical strength, he still didn't want to get beaten like that.

"Oh don't be a crybaby. You should be thanking me for toughening you up. How could a future Hokage protect anyone if he cried over a few broken bones?"

Minato: "..."

The young blond suddenly wants to stand up and strangle his friend.

A few broken bones?

Do you twisting my arms backward, break my legs, three of my ribs, and leave a small crack on my skull count as a few broken bones!?

The only reason Minato didn't kick the bucket was due to Kadoya continuously "Force Hamon Breathing" punched him every time something break.

He is training to be a ninja, not a masochistic goddamn it!

"Forget it, I don't want to argue with you anymore." Minato said with a defeated sigh, he knew his friend was a bit extreme, and sometimes annoying to deal with. But overall, Minato is still glad that Kadoya sees him as a friend.

A genius like Kadoya would make it big later on in the ninja world, and by now Minato has realized the benefit of relationship.

It was thanks to his relationship with Kadoya did Minato could grow this strong in just one year. If it wasn't for the daily training he spent with Kadoya and Saiguu, it might actually have taken him two years in the academy just to reach his current power level.

"Since you got nothing better to do. Why don't you stay over." Kadoya said with a smile as he already began cooking meals for the two of them. His sister was out on a mission and probably isn't going to come home anytime soon.

Sighing Minato decides to stay over for the night, after all, his friend has already begun making dinner if he refuses and goes home now, he would have to cook his own meal.

Besides, a meal should be totally in reason after the beating he was put through today.

...

At the same time, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, walked into the Hokage Building.

The Hokage Building was built on the eve of Konoha's founding. It could be said to be the oldest building in Konoha.

This was the place where missions were usually assigned and office work was done.

As the Third Hokage walked along the corridor leading to the front door of his office, he felt relief recalling the incident that happened yesterday in the Ninja School.

The Third Hokage has read the report about the incident and he was quite please with how Kadoya Uchiha handled the incident all together.

Kadoya Uchiha, the second son of Kagami Uchiha.

Although his action of beating the other Uchiha kids was a bit extreme, Hiruzen noticed that Kadoya didn't hesitate to step upon seeing his classmate in danger.

Instead of dodging or trying to avoid the fireball, Kadoya unleashed his self-made Water Release Jutsu to counter the Great Fire Ball Jutsu.

At just 6 years old, Kadoya has already come up with his own Jutsu, and it's a Water Style Ninjutsu of all things.

Pushing open the door, Hiruzen Sarutobi's former smile dropped upon seeing his friend, Danzo Shimura who stood in 'his' office waiting for him like he is the Hokage.

"Danzo? Is there something you need by coming to my office at this time of day?" Hiruzen asks, calmly walking toward his Hokage seat and sitting down.

"Kagami's son. I heard about the incident in the Ninja School." Danzo began getting right to the point.

"Kadoya Uchiha, a promising young boy. He has great potential to be a promising ninja." Hiruzen evaluation of Kadoya was quite high.

Unlike other Uchiha kids his age, Kadoya actually befriended a commoner and a Hyuga. His character wasn't all arrogant pride like the other, despite being strong for his age, Kadoya actually lay low and didn't go around bullying his classmates...

Well, the last part is somewhat questionable, but beside that. Kadoya didn't have the usual negative traits Hiruzen saw in other Uchiha kids.

"I think he should be taken into Root. Under my watch, I can take care of Kagami's orphan. When necessary, I can personally take him as a disciple," Danzo said.

Hiruzen frown deepened.

"No, Kagami's son should stay in the Academy! The environment in the Root isn't suitable for his growth!"

"Hiruzen, the Root is-" Not giving up Danzo continues.

"Enough Danzo. I already decided." Hiruzen quickly cut in not wanting to hear any further.

Similar to Danzo, Hiruzen also has plans for Kadoya.

As a disciple of the Second Hokage, how could he let Kadoya, an Uchiha who uses Water Style Jutsu fall into Danzo's hand?

If everything go smoothly according to his plan, Kadoya Uchiha could become one of his most loyal Anbu and could worked as a spy for him to monitor the Uchiha Clan.

"Hiruzen, you're making a mistake! That boy's potential is wasted hanging around those child-" He try to pressed further before Hiruzen suddenly slammed his palm on the table and shouted.

"Danzo! I'm the Hokage!"

His gaze grew colder looking at his friend with pure anger in his eyes, Danzo walked toward the door. "Hiruzen! You will regret this!"

Danzo walks out and slams the door.

...

At this time Kadoya's system suddenly pings with a notification.

Congratulations! Hidden Quest Complete: "The Shadow Hokage: Act 1"

"Heh!?" Kadoya was confused seeing the sudden notification. He was sleeping beside Minato and didn't do anything.
