"Kill them all. Leave no one alive."
A swarm of men in identical black suits, members of the Mafia, leaped out from within Capone Bege's body.
From miniature figures, they transformed into armed thugs wielding various weapons!
Rat-a-tat-tat…
A hail of gunfire and explosions erupted instantly.
Jay and Capone Bege strode side by side, moving unhindered into the estate.
The corpses and blood-stained floors meant nothing to them.
Jay's calm demeanor once again made Capone Bege see him in a new light.
Under the onslaught of these elite Mafia forces, the entire Sori estate quickly turned into a living hell.
"Who are you people? Ahh"
"I have money! Don't kill me!"
"Help! Run for your lives!"
"I am Sori Oslo, the first heir of the Sori family! You can't kill me"
Thud! Thud! Thud!
The relentless sound of bullets tearing into flesh echoed through the air.
Begging, cursing, screaming... none of it mattered. No one could escape Death's scythe.
Within moments, the Mafia stormed into the banquet hall, launching a one-sided massacre against the Sori family!
"No! I am Sori Siflerus, the head of the Sori family! I demand to speak with your boss!"
Sori Siflerus, shot through the leg, lay on the ground wailing in agony.
Perhaps his declaration had some effect, no one delivered a finishing shot right away.
But the slaughter continued. The Mafia gunned down the rest of the Sori family without hesitation, the air thick with the roar of gunfire and the stench of blood.
Sori Siflerus could do nothing but watch in horror as his wives, sons, grandsons, one by one, fell into pools of crimson.
Powerless. Desperate.
Then, a shadow loomed over him.
"Please… The entire Sori family's wealth is yours! Just spare me!"
Sori Siflerus clutched at the man's pant leg, weeping, pleading.
The young man in front of him merely smiled.
"Siflerus, I preferred you when you were arrogant and high above the rest. Could you bring that attitude back, just for a moment?"
Sori Siflerus stared, stunned. The man's face overlapped with a distant memory.
At last, it clicked, this was the last heir of the Nova family! The useless wretch he had effortlessly driven out, stealing everything he owned!
"It's you! Impossible!"
His bloodshot eyes widened in disbelief.
He refused to accept that a once-destitute boy had, in such a short time, risen from the ashes to now stand before him, holding the fate of the Sori family in his hands.
Jay crouched down, leisurely straightening Siflerus's disheveled collar before pressing a gun barrel into his mouth.
"My things aren't so easy to take."
"Oh, and Colonel Hammond sends his regards."
Bang!
Blood splattered.
Even in death, Sori Siflerus's face remained frozen in endless regret.
He regretted his arrogance, dismissing Jay as a mere nobody.
He regretted underestimating Colonel Hammond's audacity, never imagining the man would collude with the Mafia to storm the estate.
But regret could not change fate.
And so, he paid the price for his greed and hubris.
Jay wiped the gun barrel clean on Siflerus's corpse before rising to his feet. His gaze then settled on a nearby table.
He strode over and picked up a cigar from an elegantly wrapped box.
Snip. Light.
A long, hazy puff of smoke drifted into the air.
All around him, bullets still whizzed, blood still sprayed, and the dying still wailed their final curses.
Jay found himself enjoying the moment like never before.
This was his life. And he would control it.
And first? He'd start by smoking cigars.
Casually, he pocketed the cigar box and lighter, then walked out of the banquet hall.
Now, it was time for treasure hunting.
Letting such a golden opportunity slip away? That would be a crime.
"In estates like this, there's usually a secret chamber for storing valuables, or things best kept hidden."
As someone once part of the nobility, Jay knew this world well.
He was certain he was right.
And with his past knowledge, combined with what he'd seen in countless films…
"I actually found it."
Looking at the secret door that had opened in the wall, Jay was surprised by his own luck.
He didn't make a sound. Instead, he quickly composed himself and stepped inside cautiously.
After all, no one knew if there were traps lurking inside.
The last thing he wanted was to be someone else's unwitting scout, only to die a miserable death.
However, it seemed he had overestimated the Sori family. There were no complex traps or deadly mechanisms, just a vast hoard of wealth and treasures accumulated over the years.
There was no need for an appraisal. Jay could tell at a glance that the glittering gold, the dazzling jewelry, and the priceless ornaments on the shelves were worth a fortune.
But those weren't his priority.
Because he couldn't take them.
The Mafia outside, and even Colonel Hammond, would never let him walk away with such valuable goods.
Anyone who dared to try would end up in pieces, dumped into the sea to feed the fish.
So, without hesitation, Jay went straight for the crates in the room, opening them as quickly as possible.
Some were filled with gold coins, others with various gemstones, but the majority were stacked with thick wads of Beri, cold, hard cash!
Jackpot!
Jay suppressed his excitement and placed his hand on one of the crates, silently chanting in his mind:
"Deposit!"
In the blink of an eye, the crate was empty.
And in its place, his system panel displayed an extra ten million Beri!
What a rush!
Was there anything more exhilarating than spending someone else's money for his own benefit?!
Jay didn't dare waste a second. He immediately reached for the next crate, his "sinful" hands moving with lightning speed.
"Huh? Why is there another door here?"
"It must be the Sori family's hidden vault."
"I'll guard it, go inform the Godfather!"
The voices from outside made Jay's heart sink.
But he had already anticipated this situation. Until someone actually stepped inside, he would keep moving as fast as possible.
"Faster! Just a little faster!"
The moment he heard hurried footsteps approaching, he immediately stopped.
Quickly, he closed part of the opened crates and hastily disguised the scene. Then, he picked up an exquisite golden crown, pretending to admire it leisurely.
"Put that down."
Capone Bege's face initially lit up with joy, only to turn emotionless a second later.
Clatter!
The Mafia members who followed him in immediately raised their guns, all aiming directly at Jay.
