Chapter 11 - triakósia 3

The 41 students stared at the screen, waiting for the first names of the people on Team Two to be drawn. 'Ahem, Present Mic, would you please MC our contestants today?' Mic excitedly stood up and took center stage on the screen. 'All right! The first person who will be a part of Team Two is... Shino Aburame!' After hearing his name, Shino subconsciously made his way to the edge of the mountain pass. 'The next person will be... Ruby Xiao Long!' Ruby shuffled nervously as she looked for Shino, and after finding him, she used her quirk to disappear from everyone's scrutinizing eyes. 'Our next fantastic contestant will be... Yang Xiao Long! Wow, the twins are on the same team again; I feel like they are never that far apart.' Yang jumped up from her sitting position on the ground and rushed over to glomp her sister.

"OK, let me shake out the box a little bit to try to get some new names! Our next fabulous hero student on Team Two will be... Kiba Inuzuka!" A teen boy in a gray hoodie, with a big dog by his side, slowly approached the entrance to the mountain pass where the rest of his team was. "Oh, there goes Akamaru! Look at that good boy!" Mic was a born-and-bred dog person. "Ahem, Mic, please keep announcing!" Nezu said in his cheery yet threatening tone. "Oh right, our next star is... Ino Yamanaka!" Ino smiled, and on the way to her teammates, she grabbed the Midoriya system and pulled them toward their team.

"Our next person is a foodie we all love; it's... Choji Akimichi!" Choji pulled out a new bag of chips and began to walk toward his team. "Alright, our next hero student who will join Team Two is a magical person—give it up for... Weiss Schnee!" Weiss gave a bow, as if she were at a fancy party, and approached her team. "Only three more spots left on Team Two! Let's see who else will be drawn! He's the coolest of the cool because he's always in the shadows; give it up for... Shikamaru Nara!" Shikamaru got up from his lying position on the ground. "This will be troublesome," he said as he made his way toward his team. "What's that? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's our next contestant and member of Team Two; it's... Blake Belladonna!" The girl looked up from her book as she briskly jogged over to her team. "Last but certainly not least, we have a resident ice queen! Despite the fact that she's going against the trend by not having any ice powers, she's still the coldest beauty at UA High School; it's... Hinata Hyuga!" Hinata approached her team with a cold face, showing no emotion or reluctance to be on the team with the most pressure for the exercise.

"Thank you, Mic. Now that we've divided into teams, Team Two, approach your designated guarding position where you will receive further instructions. Team One, stay here and receive your instructions," Nezu said as he took the center position on the screen again.

Team Two made their way over to the mountain pass, where they would be in charge of stopping the enemy villain robots. Waiting for them at the entrance of the pass were Eraser Head and Inko Midoriya. "Alright, Team Two, I'm only going to say this once, so if you have any questions, don't ask. There will be robotic villains attempting to get through this mountain pass, but it is your responsibility to keep them in the designated area. Your job is to defend the civilian, Mrs. Midoriya, from these robotic threats. So do whatever you can to keep them from getting past you. Create a blockade, build booby traps, anything you can think of. Your win conditions are: you keep the place defended until Team One has claimed the enemy stronghold, or you somehow defend against the waves of enemies for the next three hours. Do you understand? Good, because I'm not repeating myself. If you need me, I'll be over here taking a nap."

Eleven students watched as Eraser Head pulled out a sleeping bag, promptly laid down next to the now vacant bus stop, and began to sleep.

"Alright, does anyone have any plans? Because I'm coming up with nothing," Yang said as she began doing stretches to warm up her body for the physical activities she was about to partake in. Weiss looked over at Shino and Hinata. "Can the two of you use your quirks to do a little scouting for us? It should give us a read on the terrain ahead."

Shino nodded as insects swarmed out of his clothing and began to disperse around the area. Hinata's only sign of affirmation was the veins around her eyes, giving her the appearance that she was focusing really hard on what was right in front of her.

Shino's quirk, Swarm Lord, allows him to create and control insects from his body, but he can only create insects that he has eaten in the past. Hinata's quirk, 360 X-Ray, allows her to see as far as 700 meters, see through objects, and gives her 360° vision all around her. Because of this, she's become a master at archery and can shoot the wing off a fly from 600 meters away.

As the two of them began to assess the area, Weiss started ascertaining everyone's combat positions, as well as deciding who should focus more on supporting their teammates versus engaging in combat. Ino's quirk wasn't going to be great against robots, but she has decent combat skills since she made it through the entrance exam. She should be able to take down robots if they get too close. Plus, she must be able to adapt and use the body of the person she's controlling in hand-to-hand combat, so she should have good frontal combat skills. Still, there would be better people for the front lines than her, so it would probably be best for her to be placed in reserve.

Next is Kiba. His quirk, Almagam, is interesting. He can fuse with any animal as long as he has an emotional bond with them. When he's fused with that animal, he not only gains their abilities but also receives a physical enhancement to his overall stats. Putting him on the front lines with Yang and Choji shouldn't be a big problem.

Having Ruby as a transporter is helpful. If anyone falls from an attack or gets injured, she can quickly jump in, take them out of there, and then take their place. Despite her size and neat personality, she is quite the strong fighter in frontal combat.

After talking to Izuku and discussing his quirk, Weiss decided to have Emiya work in the backline as a ranged fighter, releasing blade rains and shooting enemies from a distance. If the front line falters, they could get Asterios to hold off the enemy while the team recovers.

Next, Weiss assigned Shikamaru his role: to interfere with the enemy whenever his teammates were about to be attacked. If an enemy sneaked up on them, Shikamaru could stop them. If one of his teammates tripped, he could prevent the enemy from crushing them—essentially providing support with his strategic mind.

Blake's quirk was similarly not as effective against the robots. While she didn't have enhanced strength, she could utilize weapons with Emiya's help. A plan was formed: whenever the front line encountered minor issues, Blake could deploy her clones wielding spears and shields provided by Emiya. This would create a secondary vanguard to tackle any enemies that managed to get past the first.

The initial vanguard was instructed to take on the stronger enemies, leaving the weaker ones for Blake's clones to handle.

After both Hinata and Shino reported the information they gathered to Weiss, Hinata was instructed to prepare for taking out ranged enemies, while Shino was tasked with continuing his scouting and serving as the last line of defense in case all their plans failed.

As for Weiss, she focused on setting up traps along the sides of the passage and creating barricades to provide cover in case the ranged enemies became too numerous. With all their preparations made, they waited for the enemy to approach.

And that's the end of this chapter. So next chapter, we will actually start the battle. Which will be fun, also you probably noticed a lot of characters Personalities are kind of different from there Original counterparts. That's mainly because they grew up it with a different circumstances. For instance, Hinata isn't going to use Gentle Fist because there's no chakra points in this world. Her using a ranged weapon just makes more sense for the setting. Anyway, if you like the chapter, please tell me in the comments I really enjoyed them. Also I'm making this chapter today because I might not be able to make one tomorrow and I had the time today which is an off and on thing for Saturdays. AnyWho, bye.
