The story starts in the Year 709 (Arcane Calendar)
Just like its power system and worldbuilding, the concept of time and seasons in Trae'h are different from what you readers are used to.
A year is referred to as a Complete Synodic Sequence.
A month is known as a Synodic Cycle
A week is also known as the Quarter of a Synodic Cycle, and the seven days in a week are represented with names of the 7 Ancient Heroes that helped Mortals alongside Divine Ancestors Great Sun and Grand Moon during the Blighted Days.
The days of the week are:
Zagaday (Monday)
Kayday (Tuesday)
Deliday (Wednesday)
Anaday (Thursday)
Drakroday (Friday)
Shenday (Saturday)
Theday (Sunday)
There are also 12 Synodic Cycles on Trae'h, which act as the months of the year. They are named after the 12 Heavenly Kings of the Divine Court, and meaning is attached to each of the Cycles for those born under them.
There are 30-31 days in each Synodic Cycle… except for Secsip, which has 28-29 days depending on if it is a leap-year or not.
The Synodic Cycles are:
1. Suirauqa(January)
2. Secsip (February)
3. Seira (March)
4. Suruat (April)
5. Inimeg (May)
6. Recnac (June)
7. Oel (July)
8. Ogriv (August)
9. Arbil (September)
10. Oiprocs (October)
11. Suirattigas (November)
12. Nrocirpac (December)
