Chapter 1 - Prologue

After any moment of peace, destruction will come.

It's inevitable.

And in a world such as this, only destruction prevails. Hunger leads to hatred toward the land, toward the people in power. Hatred leads to rebellions, leads to murder, leads to an inability to co-exist as one.

It had been 1000 years since Sylle had heard of the word 'peace'. Its lands filled with drought and plagues, with a population at an endless war with their empty stomachs. They worship fake deities who offer promises of wealth and good fortune, giving them all they had, spilling unnecessary innocent blood under the premise of 'sacrifices for a greater good'. Only to be met with deceit, unkept promises, and broken souls tired of the endless games.

Then one man, a lowly farmer, brought face-to-face with death, made a deal with the Moon God, Aadahira, an evil being, punished by the Sun God to live an eternity overseeing the dead, yearning for the chance to live amongst the living once again. The mortal would be granted a second chance at life - to seek revenge on those who had mistreated him - and in return, Aadahira could inhabit the farmer's body however and whenever they pleased, to grant them a look into the topside world. A world they once longed to take over.

The mortal return to the world of the living, somewhat changed into a beast whose only thoughts were those of revenge, destruction, and death. Aadahira also granted to farmer special gifts to use to cause chaos to the living – a special blessing as a 'thank you' of sorts.

In fact, Aadahira relished in this deal greatly, and loved taking advantage of the mortal's body to wreak havoc in the world they longed to conquer. So much so that they continued to make deals with dozens of other mortals once they died, to bring them back to life to they could carry out their unfinished business.

The Sun God, Sorelia, in charge of the mortal world and maintaining order, was well aware of Aadahira's antic's and was devising a plan of their own to rid the world of the death and chaos that Aadahira's deal brought.

Sorelia ordered the King's prophet to share across the lands the tale of 'The Blessing of the Sun', the world's saviour who would cleanse the world of its evil, bringing peace and prosperity to all the seven lands. Not a year later, the King of Sylle had a baby boy with hair as gold as the Sun itself. A bright white light descended upon the baby from the Heavens above, granting him the Gift of the Sun. The kingdom rejoiced, for their lives had been saved.

But before the child could save anyone, days after his eighteenth birthday, he was killed.
