The Birth of the Paths (Year 0, Age of Awakening)
Before history was written in blood and conquest, before the rise of nations and dynasties, there was only Gura—the cradle of civilization, the beating heart of the GNS-999 galaxy. It was a world of untamed beauty, where mountains whispered secrets to the wind and the oceans roared with forgotten songs. Yet, beneath its tranquil surface, Gura was a world on the brink of chaos, a realm where the forces of nature and the cosmos stirred restlessly.
Then came The Awakening.
It was not the work of gods nor the design of men, but the will of the universe itself. The twelve cosmic forces that governed reality—energy, time, space, mind, and nature—manifested in the first beings chosen to wield them. They were not yet warriors or rulers. They were wanderers, seekers, and lost souls who heard the whispers of power in their dreams.
Each was drawn to an ancient ruin hidden deep within Gura's vast wilderness, where a great monolith stood—a relic older than the stars themselves. Inscribed upon it were twelve sacred glyphs, glowing with power. The moment their hands touched the stone, the first Twelve Paths of Power were born.
They would not remain hidden for long.
The Rise of the Twelve Founders (Year 1-200, Age of Foundations)
The twelve chosen ones, now known as the Founders, returned to their people, each bearing a power never before seen. Their gifts elevated them beyond mere mortals, and their legends spread like wildfire across Gura.
The First Chandra Wielder, known as Elyon the Lunar Sage, founded the Moonlight Order, an ancient group that would one day guide those blessed by the celestial glow.
Kael, the Tempest of Vayu, became the fastest being in existence, carving his name into history with winds so fierce they could shatter mountains.
Solis the Radiant, first wielder of the Surya Path, was worshipped as a demigod for bringing light to the dark places of the world.
Gaia, Mother of the Earth, the first of Terra's bloodline, built the foundations of cities that still stood millennia later.
Sylphera of the Wild, the first to walk the Ziran Path, was said to have vanished into the forests, becoming one with nature itself.
Ren the Invincible, the first Aura master, fought wars alone, his power unmatched in combat.
But not all Founders were revered as heroes. Some walked the Forbidden Paths, their powers feared and misunderstood.
Chronos the Eternal, the first wielder of Time, vanished from history after bending the flow of existence too far. His fate remains unknown.
Zephirah the Mindbreaker, who awakened the Soma Path, left behind a trail of madness wherever she walked.
Orion the Voidwalker, who first touched the Aether Path, disappeared into a portal never to return.
Elysian, the Harbinger of Life and Death, wielded the Tensei Path but was executed for defying mortality itself.
Umbra, the Shadowborn, was exiled for mastering the Nox Path, feared for his ability to become the very darkness itself.
And lastly, Crimson Varkus, the first wielder of the Crimson Path, was labeled a monster, his power over blood and life essence leading to his fall into legend.
Over the centuries, these twelve figures would become the stuff of myths. Their powers became disciplines, their teachings turned into schools of mastery. The Twelve Paths were no longer just the gifts of a few; they were now woven into the fabric of Gura's civilization.
The Wars of the Paths (Year 600-1200, Age of Conflict)
As the ages passed, the Twelve Paths became the foundation of Gura's greatest empires and clans. Kingdoms were built around the mastery of different paths, and soon, power struggles erupted.
The Solar Empire, led by the descendants of Solis, clashed against the Moonlight Dominion, formed by the followers of Chandra. The Titan Lords of Terra waged endless war against the Stormborn Clans of Vayu. The wielders of the Forbidden Paths became either weapons of war or hunted as heretics.
The darkest chapter of this era was The Crimson War, sparked by the resurgence of a terrifying warrior who had mastered the Crimson Path. His name was lost to time, but his atrocities were remembered. He drained the life from entire battlefields, leaving behind only husks. It took the combined might of the Six Great Houses, each representing a Common Path, to finally put an end to his reign.
After nearly six hundred years of war, an agreement was reached—the Twelve Paths Treaty. A council was formed to regulate the use of power, ensuring that no single path could dominate over the others.
Peace, however, was never eternal.
The Present Era (Year 1800, Age of Rebirth)
Now, eighteen centuries after The Awakening, the world of Gura stands on the precipice of another great change. The twelve paths, once thought to be balanced, are now stirring once more.
Whispers of a new Crimson Wielder echo through the shadows. The Time Path, long believed to be lost, has resurfaced in the hands of an unknown entity. The bonds that held the world together are beginning to fray, and the balance that once existed between the Common and Forbidden Paths is unraveling.
Legends say that when the Twelve Paths stir once more, it is a sign that the world is about to undergo its greatest transformation.
A new generation of warriors must rise.
The story of the past is written.
Now begins the story of the future.
