Chapter 46 - Chapter 46

The Pokémon world is never short of beauties, as the environment here is simply too good. Since the Pokémon League unified the regions, the world has been, at least on the surface, very peaceful.

In the eyes of the public, crime is rare.

Compared to Ryuu Shiro's previous life on Earth, the people of this world are much more harmonious.

Otherwise, would parents feel comfortable letting their sixteen-year-old children travel the world freely?

Ambition and evil, when compared to the entire population, are ultimately in the minority.

The relatively superior living conditions and easily satisfied mindset have made people's daily lives better, and as a result, the physical appearance and charm of young men and women have naturally become more outstanding.

Moreover…

The Pokémon world is, after all, a semi-supernatural world. The average physical and genetic qualities of its people are far beyond what Earthlings can compare to.

Even so, figures like Cynthia and Caitlin, with their stunning beauty and grace, are exceptionally rare.

"Are you two here to explore the Michina Ruins as well?"

Walking up to Ryuu Shiro and Marnie, Cynthia brushed her bangs aside and greeted them with a warm, graceful smile.

"Yes, we've always wanted to visit Michina, one of Sinnoh's most famous ruins."

Ryuu Shiro gave an elegant bow to Cynthia and Caitlin.

"And we certainly didn't expect to have the pleasure of meeting Champion Cynthia."

Indeed, Cynthia had already become the Sinnoh Champion. Just last year, she won the Sinnoh League at the Lily of the Valley Conference, then challenged the Elite Four and the Champion, ultimately claiming the title.

What's more, she is the first female regional Champion since the establishment of the Pokémon League!

With her cold and commanding presence in battle, Cynthia has conquered all Trainers in Sinnoh.

It's safe to say that although Cynthia is a newly appointed Champion, her popularity among all regional Champions is undoubtedly among the highest.

The first female Champion in the League, coupled with her exceptional beauty, makes it no surprise that Cynthia's popularity is soaring.

"The Sinnoh Champion?"

Hearing this, Marnie was taken aback, looking at Cynthia with surprise.

She didn't pay much attention to events in other regions, so she hadn't recognized Cynthia.

"It seems you're quite knowledgeable about the Michina Ruins."

Cynthia smiled modestly, her eyes glinting as she looked at Ryuu Shiro.

"I have a deep love for ancient ruins, myths, and history, so I might know a bit more than the average person."

Ryuu Shiro replied with a calm smile, his confident demeanor shining through. This wasn't an exaggeration.

Combining his knowledge from his previous life's games, anime, and special chapters, along with the myths, histories, and archaeological findings he's collected in this world, he truly knows a great deal.

After all, Ryuu Shiro has always had a good habit—he loves reading.

"You're not an ordinary person, are you?"

Cynthia's eyes flickered as she observed Ryuu Shiro's handsome and confident face.

Indeed, he wasn't ordinary. His refined demeanor and the strong confidence radiating from within suggested he was no simple individual.

Moreover, a strong Trainer's intuition told Cynthia that this young man's skills as a Trainer were definitely not weak.

Though it was just a vague intuition with no concrete evidence, Cynthia trusted her sixth sense.

"Champion Cynthia, what brings you here? It's quite a distance from the Lily of the Valley Island."

Ryuu Shiro smiled without directly responding, instead asking Cynthia with curiosity.

Cynthia was born in Celestic Town, the oldest town in Sinnoh, and her grandmother was the town's elder. While her family background wasn't as prominent as the top-tier families, it was far from ordinary.

Growing up in Celestic Town, Cynthia developed a deep interest in myths and history, which also cultivated her classical and elegant demeanor.

Cynthia is easy to get along with and has a down-to-earth personality, but in battle, she is cold and commanding, almost like a completely different person.

It's not unusual for Cynthia, with her interest in ruins and myths, to visit Michina. However, Cynthia has only recently taken up her position as Champion! The Pokémon League has a lot of matters for her to familiarize herself with and resolve.

Besides…

Caitlin, though a powerful Psychic, has a rather frail physique. Would she really accompany Cynthia on a long journey for archaeological purposes?

Not to belittle Caitlin, but with her delicate frame, Ryuu Shiro could probably take down three of her with one punch.

"This is my good friend Caitlin. Since she's about to leave Sinnoh, I thought I'd bring her along for one last visit."

Hearing Ryuu Shiro's question, Cynthia introduced Caitlin, who was standing a step behind her.

Caitlin's exquisite face held a gentle smile as she nodded in greeting to Ryuu Shiro and Marnie, expressing her goodwill.

"Hello, I'm Shiro from the Kanto region, and this is my companion Marnie from Galar. Miss Caitlin, you are truly stunning."

Ryuu Shiro introduced himself and Marnie briefly, then sincerely complimented Caitlin.

While Caitlin and Cynthia are equally beautiful in their own ways, Caitlin's first impression is undeniably more striking.

The elegance and nobility she exudes, combined with her fair and delicate features, would likely make most people feel too intimidated to even look her in the eye.

"Thank you for your kind words."

Caitlin's smile remained unchanged as she lifted her skirt slightly and curtsied gracefully, her melodious and unhurried voice soothing to the ears.

"It seems she hasn't left for Unova yet."

Ryuu Shiro nodded in response, but in his mind, he had already figured out Caitlin's situation.

He had been keeping an eye on the changes in the Elite Four and Champions across regions.

Last year, the Unova Elite Four remained unchanged, meaning Caitlin hadn't yet taken her position. She must have just made up her mind to change herself and prepare to travel to other regions for training.
