Chapter 4 - TEERCES

At the SIN Headquarters

Inside a high-tech conference room filled with digital monitors and holographic maps, the top agents of SIN sat around a long table.

General Zunafets stood at the head of the room, his expression stern. "Peter has gone too far. The three scandals he exposed have shaken the government to its core. If we don't act fast, this country will descend into chaos."

One of the senior agents sighed. "But the people support him. If we arrest him now, we might trigger a rebellion."

Aitnys, the female agent who had previously confronted Peter, crossed her arms. "He's not our enemy. We can use him to our advantage. If he agrees to cooperate, he could be the most valuable asset SIN has ever had."

Zunafets exhaled deeply. "The problem is, he won't. Peter lost faith in this organization a long time ago."

The room fell into silence as they all realized the complexity of the situation.

Back to Peter, Odlan, and Optimus,

In a hidden room at his father's headquarters, Peter lounged on a sofa, casually eating snacks while staring at his laptop screen, filled with data and code.

Odlan leaned back in his chair, arms crossed. "What are you planning now?"

Peter smirked, eyes still focused on the screen. "Something that'll make Sicnarep even hotter."

Optimus chuckled. "You really love causing trouble, don't you?"

Peter took another bite of his snack. "Not trouble. Just the truth."

On his laptop screen, a new file appeared—containing a secret far bigger than anything he had exposed before.

The next morning, Peter's father's headquarters was buzzing with activity. His men were busy cleaning up, organizing equipment, and carrying out their usual operations. Meanwhile, Peter was simply lounging on a chair, casually watching the chaos around him with an amused expression.

Suddenly, the news broadcast caught his attention. "Breaking News: Minister Valdro's trial begins today…"

Peter smirked, leaning forward. "So, the show is finally starting."

Odlan glanced at him. "Are you thinking what I think you're thinking?"

Peter stretched his arms and cracked his neck. "I'm going to expose his entire network within the government. And tomorrow, I'm going to watch the trial myself."

Optimus chuckled. "You really love playing with fire, don't you?"

Peter simply grinned. "What's the point of having power if you don't use it to burn corruption to the ground?"

Odlan stared at Peter's laptop screen with a serious expression before asking, "Oh yeah, Peter… about the drug fields you exposed on social media yesterday. Where exactly are they?"

Peter glanced at him briefly before typing rapidly on his keyboard. Within seconds, the screen displayed a satellite map with several blinking red markers.

"There are three main locations," Peter explained, zooming in on one of the areas. "The first is near the border of Sicnarep and a neighboring country—where they produce the largest quantities. The second is inside a military complex, protected by officers who've been bribed. And the third is on a small island that has been completely cut off from public access to keep it hidden."

Optimus let out a low whistle. "So the government isn't just turning a blind eye… they're directly involved?"

Peter nodded. "Of course. This isn't just some ordinary illegal operation. It's a well-structured system, with high-ranking officials as key players."

Odlan clenched his fists. "Then we need to do something. If you only expose this on social media, they'll just cover it up again."

Peter smirked. "Who said I only exposed it on social media?"

Odlan and Optimus exchanged glances before turning back to Peter with curiosity. "What do you mean?"

Peter typed a few more commands on his laptop before looking up at them. "I've already set something bigger in motion. And trust me… this time, they won't be able to cover it up."

Optimus crossed his arms and looked at Peter seriously. "Listen, man… you should just go back to SIN. Solve this issue from the inside. If you keep exposing everything to the public like this, it'll all be for nothing. Everyone will be in danger. And worst of all—your life is on the line."

Peter chuckled, leaning back in his chair. "You sound just like my brother."

Optimus sighed. "That's because I'm being realistic, Peter. The government has resources we don't. They control the military, the intelligence agencies, and even the media. If they really want to erase you, they will. No amount of hacking or street racing will save you from a bullet in the head."

Odlan nodded in agreement. "He's right. Exposing them is one thing, but without power to protect yourself, you're just making yourself a bigger target."

Peter exhaled, tapping his fingers on the table. "And you think SIN will protect me?"

Optimus narrowed his eyes. "Maybe not. But inside SIN, you'll at least have access to information and resources that can help you fight back strategically. Right now, you're just running blind."

Peter stayed silent for a moment, considering his options. He knew Optimus had a point, but returning to SIN meant working under his brother—under an organization he had sworn to leave behind.

After a long pause, he finally spoke. "I'll think about it."

Optimus shook his head. "You don't have time to think, Peter. Make a decision before it's too late."

Inside a tightly sealed conference room, the ministers sat in a tense circle. The president was absent—choosing to remain silent and let them handle the situation themselves.

On the large screen in front of them, news reports of the country's biggest scandals kept looping.

1. The secret drug operation – High-ranking officials were exposed for using government resources to distribute narcotics across the country. Hidden drug fields had been uncovered, and the public was beginning to question who was behind it all.

2. Severe environmental destruction – Illegal oil exploitation had completely destroyed an entire island. The government had closed off access to the island to keep the disaster a secret, but now the public was growing suspicious.

3. Nationwide money counterfeiting – The most shocking scandal of all. The government had been secretly printing counterfeit currency to manipulate the economy, enriching the elite while keeping the people in poverty.

A minister in a gray suit wiped his face in frustration. "This is insane! Who leaked all this? And how did they get such accurate information?"

Another minister stared at the screen with deep concern. "That's not the issue right now. What we need to figure out is how to handle Minister Valdro's trial tomorrow. If this isn't dealt with properly, we're all going down with him!"

An older man with a deep voice interrupted. "Don't panic. We still control the media. We can shift public attention elsewhere—maybe create a fake scandal to bury this news."

A younger minister shook his head, his voice filled with fear. "That won't be enough! That hacker—Teerces—he won't stop. Every time we shut down one leak, he releases another! He must have even more evidence."

Silence filled the room.

Finally, a cold-faced minister spoke in a low, firm voice. "Then we have to get rid of him before he does any more damage."

The atmosphere grew heavier. No one spoke, but they all understood the meaning behind those words.

Teerces had to be silenced.

By any means necessary.

Peter casually grabbed a bottle of soda from the refrigerator and walked toward the checkout counter. As he placed his items on the conveyor belt, he glanced outside through the large glass windows.

His heart skipped a beat.

Police officers. A lot of them.

They weren't patrolling. They were looking for someone. For him.

Peter kept his face neutral as he leaned toward the cashier. "Hey, buddy. Is there a back exit?"

The cashier, a young man barely out of his teens, blinked in confusion. "Uh… yeah, in the storage room. But—"

Peter dropped a large bill on the counter. "You never saw me."

The kid hesitated, then pocketed the money and nodded toward the back. "Through there. Take a left, then a right. Leads to an alley."

Peter grabbed his bag and slipped away just as two police officers entered the store.

In the sleek, glass-walled office of Nimoowahc Corporation, Peter's father sat at his massive desk, his fingers tapping rhythmically against the wood. Across from him stood Jeneral Zunafets, Peter's older brother, dressed in his formal military uniform.

Zunafets' sharp eyes studied his father. "The government is cracking down. They think Peter is the biggest threat to national security."

His father exhaled deeply. "He's making too much noise. And now the police are moving. We need to get to him before they do."

Zunafets crossed his arms. "And what are you planning to do? Give him a lecture? He won't listen."

The older man smirked. "I have my ways of convincing him."

Zunafets sighed, rubbing his temples. "If I don't bring Peter in, the higher-ups will send someone worse."

His father's expression darkened. "Then you better get moving. Because if they find him first, your little brother is as good as dead."

Inside the dimly lit motel room, Peter dropped himself onto the worn-out sofa. His hands swiftly opened his advanced laptop, fingers dancing over the keyboard.

The screen flickered to life, displaying classified government data—illegal transactions, encrypted communications between high-ranking officials, and dark secrets buried deep within the system.

Peter leaned back, activated stealth mode, and began typing a message that would be sent directly to the ministers' devices:

> **"You're hunting me? Fine. But remember this—if I'm caught or killed, all your dirty secrets will be exposed to the world.

I have enough data to bring many of you down, even the president won't be spared.

So before you decide to chase me, think about the consequences.

I am not your enemy… unless you make me one.

-Teerces."**

Peter hit "send."

Within seconds, security alarms in government offices started blaring. Ministers and high-ranking officials attending a private meeting simultaneously received the message.

Peter smirked. "Let's see who panics first."

He closed his laptop, stretched his arms, and grabbed a can of soda from the mini fridge in the corner of the room.

But before he could take a sip, his phone vibrated. An unknown number.

Peter stared at the screen for a moment before answering. "Hello?"

A deep voice spoke slowly. "Do you think you can get away with this?"

Peter narrowed his eyes. "And do you think you can scare me with your dramatic voice?"

The voice let out a cold chuckle. "We'll see. I hope you enjoy your evening, because it might be your last."

Click. The call ended.

Peter placed his phone down and sighed. "Alright then. Looks like tonight will be more interesting than I expected."

Peter leaned forward, his fingers moving swiftly across the keyboard. He set up an automated timed release—a ticking bomb of digital information.

On his screen, a countdown began:

24:00:00 ⏳

In exactly 24 hours, all classified data about the government's corruption, illegal drug operations, economic manipulation, and environmental destruction would be leaked to the world.

He sent a message to all major news networks, hacker forums, and government agencies:

> "The truth is now on a countdown.

If the authorities want to stop this leak, they have two choices:

1. Help me expose the corruption from within.

2. Keep hunting me and watch your world burn.

The clock is ticking. Make your choice wisely.

-Teerces"

Peter leaned back and smirked. "Now let's see how desperate they get."

Inside a high-security government facility, ministers and top officials were in a state of panic.

A high-ranking officer slammed his fist on the table. "We need to shut him down NOW!"

One of the intelligence officers wiped his sweaty forehead. "Sir, it's not that simple. Teerces has programmed the leak with an auto-release. If we take him down forcefully, the data still gets published!"

Minister Valdro, already shaken from his upcoming trial, gritted his teeth. "Then negotiate with him!"

Meanwhile, General Zunafets sat inside his office at SIN headquarters, staring at the flashing red warning on his monitor. He rubbed his temples and sighed.

His own brother had forced the government into submission.

A senior agent approached him. "Sir, your orders?"

Zunafets exhaled. "Get me in contact with Peter. Now."

The agent hesitated. "Sir… the ministers are demanding his immediate arrest."

Zunafets shot him a sharp glare. "I said, get me in contact with my brother."

Back at his motel, Peter checked his watch. 23 hours left.

He took a sip of his drink, relaxed, and whispered to himself, "Let the game begin."

A MESSAGE TO THE WORLD

Peter typed the final message on his laptop before the big meeting.

> **"Time is running out. I've given you a choice.

If the government wants to save itself, do the right thing.

If not, I will make sure the world sees their true faces.

-Teerces"**

After setting up a "dead man switch" (so the data would leak if he was caught or killed), he closed his laptop.

That was when Zunafets and Aitnys arrived.

Peter sat on the hood of his car, chewing gum casually as his brother, General Zunafets, approached, followed by Aitnys, one of SIN's top agents.

Zunafets crossed his arms. "You've really thrown the world into chaos, Peter."

Peter smirked. "Thanks. I'll take that as a compliment."

Aitnys glared at him. "We're not here to joke around. The government has reached its limit. They're ready to do anything to catch you—even kill you."

Peter sighed and looked at his brother. "So, what do you want?"

Zunafets took a deep breath. "Negotiation."

Peter raised an eyebrow. "Funny. You guys usually come with guns, not words."

Zunafets remained calm. "Listen, you know I'm not part of that corruption. I want to clean this system from the inside. And I need your help."

Peter chuckled. "You want me to return to SIN?"

Aitnys added, "If you really want real change, this is the only way."

Peter went silent. The choice was in his hands.

After a few minutes of thinking, Peter finally spoke.

"Fine. But on one condition."

Zunafets smirked slightly. "What condition?"

Peter's gaze hardened. "I work my own way. I won't be a government dog. And if I find dirt within SIN, I won't hesitate to burn it down too."

Zunafets nodded. "Deal."

Aitnys gave a small smirk. "Welcome back, Peter."

Peter looked up at the night sky, then grinned. "Let's start a new kind of chaos."

Meanwhile, in a hidden garage, Odlan and Optimus sat anxiously, waiting for Peter, who hadn't returned.

Odlan sighed. "Is he okay?"

Optimus leaned back against the wall. "I don't know… But if it's Peter, he's definitely got a plan."

All they could do was wait and hope their friend hadn't been betrayed.

The sound of an engine roared outside the garage.

Odlan and Optimus immediately turned toward the entrance as Peter stepped in, carrying his usual backpack. His hoodie was slightly damp from the night air, and a mischievous smirk played on his lips.

"Miss me?" he asked casually.

Odlan crossed his arms. "Damn it, Peter! Where the hell were you?"

Optimus smirked. "Let me guess—SIN?"

Peter chuckled and tossed his backpack onto the couch before flopping down himself.

"Bingo."

Odlan frowned. "You actually went back to those guys? After all the shit they pulled on you?"

Peter exhaled, running a hand through his hair. "Let's just say… this time, the game is different. I made sure I have control."

Optimus leaned forward. "So what's next?"

Peter pulled out his laptop from his bag, opening it with a flick of his fingers. The screen flashed with encrypted files, real-time surveillance footage, and the countdown timer he had set earlier for the government.

He grinned. "Now? We turn the whole damn system upside down."

Odlan narrowed his eyes at Peter's laptop screen. "So… you canceled the publication?"

Peter smirked, leaning back on the couch. "For now."

Optimus raised an eyebrow. "Are you serious? That means the government wins."

Peter shook his head slowly. "They didn't win. The evidence is still in my hands. If they push me further, if they dare to come after me—"

He tapped his laptop screen twice, revealing the still-encrypted and secure files.

"—then this is the only way. I'll release everything again, but this time, there won't be any negotiations."

Odlan let out a long sigh. "You're playing a dangerous game, Peter."

Peter just gave a small smirk—the kind that meant he already had another plan in mind.
