The battlefield was chaos.
The Devil's Knights stood in formation, six in total now, their hell-forged armor gleaming in the crimson glow of the abyss. The shadows of the Devil loomed behind them, its form still shifting, still taking shape—but its presence alone threatened to crush reality.
And behind them? Thousands.
A legion of demonic foot soldiers poured from the abyss, more than a thousand strong. Their armor was jagged, their blades dripped with cursed energy, and their eyes burned with a mindless hunger.
Kol's Black Thunder crackled violently around him. He clenched his fists. He was strong. But this? This was war.
Elizabeth, standing at his side, wiped the blood from her mouth. "We can't fight all of them," she said, her golden eyes scanning the battlefield. "Not like this."
Orin and Valen flanked her, both breathing heavily. Dain stood just behind them, his massive frame rising and falling with each breath. He was already injured from their earlier battle—but none of them had time to recover.
The Devil's Knights did not wait.
They attacked.
The first Knight, the one missing an arm, lunged at Kol, his greatsword swinging in a massive arc. Kol ducked, lightning flashing in his wake as he retaliated with a devastating counter-strike. His fist crashed into the Knight's chest, sending him flying back—but another was already upon him.
Kol barely had time to turn before a second Knight drove a massive spear toward his heart. He twisted at the last second, feeling the blade graze his ribs, leaving a searing wound.
The battle was in full force.
Dain roared, charging into the fray. He collided with one of the Knights, grappling him with raw strength. Their fists met like boulders crashing together. The force of their blows cracked the stone beneath them.
Valen's infernal chains lashed out, wrapping around another Knight's leg. He yanked hard, dragging the warrior off balance just as Orin teleported behind him, his twin daggers striking deep into the gaps of the Knight's armor.
Elizabeth engaged a Knight alone. Her divine power burned like the sun, clashing violently against the Knight's dark energy. Their blows sent shockwaves rippling across the battlefield, crushing stone, shattering air.
Jacob and Brad had joined Lisa . They weren't fighting the Knights—they were holding off the horde.
The demonic foot soldiers swarmed, a wall of death descending upon them. Jacob's sword cut through their ranks, flames licking at his blade with each strike. Brad moved with deadly precision, his movements quick and calculated as he shot down enemy after enemy.
Lisa's divine energy flared, her presence alone repelling some of the weaker creatures. But there were too many.
Then—it happened.
Dain screamed.
Kol turned just in time to see it.
One of the Knights—faster than the others—swung his greatsword down.
Dain raised his arm to block it—
But the blade sliced clean through.
Blood sprayed. His severed hand hit the ground with a dull thud.
Dain stumbled back, clutching the stump of his arm, eyes wide in shock.
The Knight laughed, raising his sword again for the killing blow—
But Elizabeth was already moving.
She appeared beside Dain in an instant, golden light flooding from her hands. She grasped his arm, her power knitting flesh together at an unnatural speed.
Dain fell to one knee, still breathing.
But his hand was gone.
Kol's fury reached its peak.
Lightning erupted from his body.
With a snarl, he vanished—reappearing behind the Knight who had taken Dain's hand. His fist struck like a thunderstorm, sending the warrior crashing through several demonic foot soldiers.
Kol stood over him, eyes glowing with pure rage.
"You'll pay for that," he growled.
But before he could strike the final blow—
A deep rumbling filled the air.
The Devil's shadow had fully emerged.
The sky darkened, the abyss expanded, and the very ground beneath them began to collapse.
Lisa staggered, her eyes locking onto the horror unfolding before her.
Jacob grabbed her arm. "Lisa, we need to move!"
Lisa's father, bleeding from multiple wounds, gasped, "We have to run."
And so they did.
Lisa, Jacob, Brad rushed out of the collapsing chamber, pushing toward Kol's battlefield. They saw everything. The Knights. The thousands of soldiers. The Devil itself.
And they realized—
This was a battle they could not win.
Elizabeth acted fast. She and Lisa raised their hands in unison, golden and divine energy colliding.
A massive portal tore open in the air.
The knights instantly block the portal in a flash.
The Devil in a terrifying voice like a storm " let them go, but kol stay's"
Kol in response " fine by me"
"Go!" Elizabeth shouted.
Jacob and Brad grabbed Dain, but he struggled. "I'm not leaving!"
"You have no choice," Orin snarled. He and his twin seized Dain by both arms.
Lisa hesitated. She did not want to leave him.
Kol standing alone against the Devil and his amy
But Brad grabbed her. "It's too late, Lisa! We'll die if we stay!"
Dain roared in protest, but his siblings pulled him into the portal.
Jacob and Brad followed.
Lisa was the last.
She turned back—one last time
"Kol"
Kol turned and smiled "I'll be back"
And then
The portal slammed shut.
Lisa was gone.
And he was alone.
---
Kol stood at the center of hell itself.
The Devil's Knights surrounded him.
The thousands of soldiers stood behind them, waiting for the order to strike.
And at the heart of it all—
The Devil.
Fully risen.
Its burning red eyes locked onto Kol.
Silence stretched for a single, dreadful moment.
Then the Devil smiled.
"Now—let's begin."
