Miracles and all were not so rare in the world of eryndral as, every other thing that met you eyes in this world was more miraculous and extravagant than the one before. Was it miracle? Or was it fate that brought these two wandering souls together in a place commonly known as the "resting place for helpless souls" or the moonlight forest.
The night was cold was cold, strangely a bit more colder than a few days ago, possibly hinting towards the world that was soon to meet it's end but for zailos, the decaying world was least of his concerns as, his lips were connected with soft lips of the woman who he had just met a few minutes ago.
Zailos was not a ugly guy, well at least for the dozens of women who didn't leave his sight the moment they saw him when he was working back in the days. So, attention from women was not something new to him but this instance that only lasted a mere few seconds were different. The exact moment her lips welcomed his, he felt as if something from her was flowing inside of him and he couldn't explain just what it was, besides the warm feeling that he felt alongside the strange "thing" that he clearly felt flowing inside his body.
As mentioned before, the kiss was more of a peck on the lips as it lasted only a few seconds before the woman lost consciousness and fell in his arms. Surprised yet more confused about what had just happened, zailos just started blankly into nothingness in front of him for a few seconds, trying his best to make out of what was going on.
Wha....huh? What was that?! —He caressed his lips, specifically at the place where both of their lips met— i did hear many things about this place but I didn't know they had thirsty woman out in the wild like this. Is this what this world has come to now? Well, i couldn't care less about it because following this world, i will probably meet my end soon enough anyway-

Overtaking his chattering with himself, a strange voice could be heard. The voice came from somewhere nearby, very near infact. Taken aback by the strange voice that somehow felt very familiar, he looked around in quick succession to check if he could spot anything out of ordinary but only the fire that he crossed before met his eyes.
Who is it!? Show yourself! I think it is only appropriate to hold conversations when two eyes meet each other.
He was quick with his questions but the strange voice didn't answer no more, until, he spoke to himself.
Was i just imagining things? Yeah, it must be because just now i was speaking in my head, how could anyone hear that, let alone question me?

The strange voice could be heard once again but this time, it was more clearer and louder than before and this time zailos was able to immediately figure out where the voice was coming from, it was, from inside his own head?
Who are you? If i am not wrong, i am pretty sure you are in my head aren't you?
His composure even in an absurd situations like this was something unexpected. Yes, he was for sure surprised and even slightly panicking when the voice echoed inside of his head for the first time but it only took him a few seconds after hearing the voice for the second time to regain his composure. He sat on the ground, after carefully laying the woman down besides him who was still unconscious and wasn't showing any signs of waking up anytime soon. With his legs crossed tightly, he rested his chin on the palm of his hand that was being supported on his lap.
Who or just what are you? If you would answer for once instead of questioning and cutting my words mid sentence, i hate it when my words get cut short so, i do hope you have a good explanation for it. —He wasn't speaking out loud but his facial expressions were following his words inside his head — mind you being in the answering side for once?
For a few seconds, only utter silence existed between zailos and the strange voice but it didn't stay silent for too long.
Thank God! The young woman from before found a guy who would be a perfect fit for me and also for you too! Look at you! You are so composed and calm even if a voice you have never heard before is talking directly inside your head, your calm personality will make it much easier for me to explain the "situation" and also ever since i entered your body, i feel like a glove that fits perfectly in your hand and from what i can feel, you originate from the ember nation don't you?
The strange voice was somehow stranger than before, now, the voice didn't seem mysterious and strange rather it sounded more joyful and friendly. In general sense, the change in tone would have been better than before but the look on his face said otherwise. His look was hard to explain as it wasn't just one straight emotion that would consume the entire face but his look was that of many different emotions clumped into one or at least trying to.
Whoever the fuck you are or whatever the fuck you are, i would sound more joyful and happier than you if you didn't poke your nose into places that didn't welcome you. —He spoke in his mind with much more straightforward and harsher tone than before—
Woah woah! I apologize if i offended you in any way but i genuinely didn't meant no harm, rather, I was just trying to get to know each other because well, we are going to be together for a while from now on.
Zailos took a deep breath, a few deep breaths specifically. Following it, he pinched himself hard on his right cheek possibly to calm himself down even more but that was not of concern as for now because the strange voice including the mysterious woman who was lying besides him had a lot of explaining to do.
