Chapter 30: The Unrestrained Guardian Spirit
Wu Tian, feeling quite proud of himself, watched the Tuntian Python coiled around his leg, blinking its large eyes. He smirked, his tongue darting around his lips in a mischievous manner before bursting into unrestrained laughter.
"Hehehehe..."
This wild laughter made the python blink in confusion. It even tried to imitate Wu Tian by sticking out its tongue to lick its lips, but unlike him, it could only tremble slightly, unable to match his agility.
Wu Tian pointed at the python and said, "You need to practice more often. That way, you can learn to be as flexible as me, indulging and doing as you please!"
Of course, the Tuntian Python couldn't grasp the concept Wu Tian was suggesting it was essentially training to be like his wife, Medusa. After all, she was the true form behind this creature. If the base form became more flexible, then his future would be set!
"Hehehehe... hic!"
Though his laughter didn't use any energy, it traveled far enough to reach the ears of the guard squad, who were quite frightened. They remembered the warning from their captain, Flower Snake: "Don't try to guess the Guardian Spirit's thoughts."
After all, while Medusa was a woman and they could relate to her somewhat, Wu Tian was a man and not just any man. He didn't spare even the beautiful captain, Flower Snake, a second glance, let alone them. Upsetting him could lead to terrifying consequences.

Unbeknownst to Wu Tian, caught up in his fit of laughter, the system he thought had vanished popped up again.

Wu Tian couldn't help but think the Guardian Queen system popped up infrequently, but its rewards were always surprisingly potent. "A system product is a quality product," he thought, confirming the old adage.

Flower Snake didn't ponder long, knowing it wasn't her place to speculate. She headed straight for Medusa's palace, knocking on the bedroom door upon arrival.
Inside, Wu Tian was enjoying the comfort of Medusa's bed, already imagining sharing it with her every night. The knock at the door jolted him up, his face twitching. "I'm lying in my own wife's bed, dreaming of my own wife, why should I feel guilty? No, it's not guilt it's excitement!"
He sat down and called out, "Come in!"
Flower Snake entered, stopping short as she noticed Wu Tian's pants seemed a bit tight. She said nothing about it, though, and instead greeted him respectfully, "Guardian Spirit!"
Wu Tian, oblivious to his appearance, replied with dignity, "Flower Snake, no need for formalities. What brings you here? Is there an emergency?"
Though Flower Snake tried not to let her gaze wander, she couldn't help but be curious, having never encountered such a situation before. She stood straight and reported, "Guardian Spirit, after two days, all cities within the Tager Desert have fallen under our control!"
Wu Tian, unfazed by her gaze, expressed surprise. "Oh? Two days?"
Flower Snake quickly explained, "Due to your might, all the city lords and most of the human population fled in advance. The cities were empty except for the elderly, women, and children. When we arrived, we simply took over."
Wu Tian nodded, still amazed not by the conquest of empty cities that was expected since the Ga Ma Empire had no Dou Huang strong enough to contest and was lacking even in Dou Wang warriors. What surprised him was how quickly time had passed; playing with the Earth Core Lotus Seed had indeed consumed much time.
Wu Tian smiled confidently at Flower Snake, who was still glancing awkwardly at his lower half. "Well done. Relay my orders: Snake Tribe leaders are to return to their tribes. Leave a Dou Ling warrior and some capable tribespeople in each city, along with any ordinary tribe members who wish to stay. From the day after tomorrow, all cities will open to humans who are no stronger than Dou Ling warriors, but a fee will be charged for entry. Any opposition from humans should be met with lethal force."
Flower Snake, surprised yet understanding of his intentions to foster coexistence between humans and the Snake Tribe, responded dutifully, "Yes!"
She couldn't fathom Wu Tian's broader strategy his plan for a ceasefire was because he needed to leave the Snake Tribe for a while. He needed to quickly enhance both his and Medusa's strength to avoid extermination from looming threats like Yun Shan and the sinister forces of the Soul Hall.
The stakes were high, and time was short.
As Flower Snake hesitated to leave, still oddly fixated on his lower half, Wu Tian frowned in confusion. Wasn't the captain supposed to be more disciplined?
Why was she still here, and why was she staring at his lower half? What was she looking at?
