Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Phenomenal Evil Power

Chakra is a form of energy produced through the perfect fusion of various bodily components. It serves as the power source for executing ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu, as well as forming threads to bind opponents or sever chakra-based constructs.

As a ninja, mastering the control and application of this energy is essential.

Possessing chakra is the fundamental criterion that determines whether one can become a ninja.

The purpose of chakra refinement training is to teach individuals how to extract chakra from the body's 130 trillion cells, drawing it out systematically.

Once chakra is extracted, it must be molded through hand seals before it can be used in techniques.

...

After a week of dedicated learning and practice, Veigar had already become proficient in entering the state required for chakra refinement training.

Night fell quietly.

Sitting cross-legged on his bed, Veigar resumed his training after dinner.

His progress in chakra refinement had been steady. Though he wasn't as naturally gifted as prodigies like Kakashi, he did not feel discouraged. Instead, he improved little by little, honing his abilities with unwavering determination.

As he meditated, a faint warmth rose from within his body—a sign that he was about to succeed in refining chakra.

Suddenly, his eyes snapped open, bloodshot veins bursting across his pupils. His entire body trembled violently as if enduring unbearable pain. He wanted to scream, but he found himself completely paralyzed.

He couldn't even blink.

Thump… Thump…

A surge of heat rushed from his forehead and shot straight into his heart. His pulse pounded loudly in his ears, growing faster and faster, as if his heart was about to explode from his chest.

Within his distorted vision, time seemed to slow. The world around him felt frozen in place, yet his heart only beat more frantically.

"What… is happening to my body?"

Just as the thought formed in his mind—

BOOM!!!

A thunderous explosion, as if the skies had been split apart, erupted inside Veigar's consciousness.

A dark green, holographic-like emblem materialized before his eyes before shattering into countless fragments of light, merging into his body.

It was only a fleeting glimpse, but Veigar recognized that symbol instantly.

It was the passive ability of a certain champion from an old competitive game in his past life—Phenomenal Evil Power.

In his shock, Veigar realized he had regained control over his body.

"Was that… just an illusion?"

He murmured to himself, but every fiber of his being told him otherwise. That was real.

Determined to understand what had just happened, Veigar resumed his chakra refinement training, mentally preparing himself for another wave of excruciating pain.

Yet, this time, nothing unusual occurred. He refined his chakra smoothly, without hindrance.

And then, in the darkness of his closed eyelids, the same dark green emblem glowed once more.

Veigar memorized the symbol's every detail. When his vision blurred, he instinctively withdrew from his meditative state, opening his eyes once more.

"Did I… just obtain a legendary 'cheat' ability?"

"And not just any cheat… but one with limitless growth potential?"

Regardless of the answer, Veigar had no strength left to investigate further. Both his mind and body were utterly exhausted. As fatigue overtook him, he drifted into deep sleep.

Perhaps this was fate at work—Veigar, the Tiny Master of Evil of his past life, and Veigar, the ninja-in-training, shared the same name.

Unlike other champions, the one wielding Phenomenal Evil Power had boundless potential for growth.

After all, the ability's effect was simple yet terrifying: each kill or assist permanently increased his magic power.

Given enough time to develop, he could show the world the true meaning of black magic.

And now—

The passive ability of the Tiny Master of Evil had become part of Veigar's very existence.

The heat that had surged into his heart earlier was none other than the Phenomenal Evil Power embedding itself into his soul and body.

But how this ability would manifest in reality… that remained for Veigar to discover on his own. After all, games and reality were not the same.

...

The next day.

Veigar awoke from a deep sleep.

The morning sun shone brightly outside. Thankfully, it was a school holiday—otherwise, he would've been scolded for being late.

After freshening up, he set off toward the forest on the southern outskirts of the village.

Upon reaching the riverbank, his first task was to check the fishing traps he had set.

His efforts were well-rewarded—six traps had yielded a bountiful catch. He had enough small fish and shrimp to last two or three meals, along with a particularly large salmon, weighing over three pounds.

However, as Veigar held the fish in his hands, his thoughts were not on cooking.

He wanted to test his new ability—Phenomenal Evil Power.

Without hesitation, he grasped the salmon's head with one hand and drew a short blade with the other.

Sensing its impending doom, the fish thrashed violently in a desperate struggle. But it was futile—Veigar's grip was firm.

With a swift motion, the blade sliced cleanly through.

The fish's body twitched, its life force rapidly fading away.

After gutting and cleaning the fish, Veigar placed it on a smooth rock by the riverbank. At the very instant it lost its final breath—

His eyes changed.

The dark green emblem of Phenomenal Evil Power flickered in his pupils. A strange energy surrounded his body, coiling around him like an unseen force.

At the same time, Veigar noticed something unusual.

From the fish's lifeless form, wisps of dark, arcane energy began to drift away.

He could feel it calling to him.

Acting on instinct, Veigar reached out with his right hand. The black tendrils of energy surged toward him, flowing directly into his palm.

"So warm…"

The moment the energy entered his body, Veigar felt a comforting heat spread through his chest, pulsing straight into his heart. A pleasant warmth enveloped him, so soothing that he couldn't suppress a quiet sigh.

But just as quickly as it came, the sensation faded.

Almost as if it had lasted only a fleeting moment.

Snapping back to reality, Veigar placed a hand on his stomach as it growled in hunger.
