"Dude, what is going on? You never sleep during classes!" one of Victor's friends asked, nudging him.
"I have no idea man, I'm just really sleepy today. And I've been having these weird dream sequences... but they don't seem to be random. They seem to be connected. Like with some kind of actual logic." Victor replied, chugging his coffee.
"And what kind of dreams were those? As far as I've seen on YouTube, dreams are like a movie your brain cooks up to clear the unwanted memories and worries and other junk. Like clearing the cache memory of your apps on your phone." another friend added, his curiosity piqued.
"I don't know man... it seems very weird. Like I saw a bunch of people who looked like me with the same name as me - exactly like doppelgangers, but they called each other with some kind of identification code. And they were waging war against some other celestial body, was it? They used gas giants greater than the size of Jupiter like common ammunitions dude! It was just insane. And then this guy, another doppelganger presumably, called himselfVictor B-173 and he called meT-45, like I'm just genuinely confused here." Victor said, rambling between sips of coffee.
"Man, I told you binge-watching Loki wasn't really a good idea. Look at you now, ranting on and on about some kind of what? A multiverse?" one of his friends said with a smirk, while another perked up.
"Wait - didn't they explain in Doctor Strange that dreams are real experiences of your variants in the multiverse? And you said you were surrounded by other versions of yourself? Maybe this is like... a central finite curve or something!"
"Dude, don't put more weird ideas in Victor's head. He's already super confused." the final friend said flatly, silencing the group. Victor just sat there, staring into his half-empty coffee cup, completely lost in a pool of his own thoughts.
