"Captain, we're pirates. Why are we learning Navy techniques?" Ross seemed extremely resistant to learning the Navy's Six Powers.
Such thinking was utterly unacceptable.
Bellamy immediately roared, "You idiot!"
"Who cares if it's a Navy technique? If it's useful, you use it immediately!"
"Even if it's a pig's technique, if it's strong enough, you swallow your pride and learn it!"
He wasn't just saying this; he genuinely believed it. In his worldview, a humble willingness to learn was one of the essential qualities of a strong person.
"If it was Sea Pig Six Powers, then I could maybe accept it," Ross muttered, displaying his sometimes sharp tongue.
"What kind of nonsense is that...?" Bellamy swung a fist, delivering a solid thump to Ross's head, leaving a large bump.
"Alright, shut it, all of you!"
Everyone in the martial arts hall had been summoned, including Mani and Muret's little brother.
"After a night of discussion with Drake, I've compiled all the Six Powers."
Bellamy pointed to the blackboard at the front, which was covered in densely packed small writing.
The Six Powers were divided into:
Iron Body (Tekkai): Accelerates blood flow, causing the muscles to move faster and granting them the hardness of steel.Finger Pistol (Shigan): A variation of Iron Body. All the body's power is concentrated into the index finger, and the hardened finger unleashes a strike in the blink of an eye.Shave (Soru): Within an instant (about 0.36 seconds), the user kicks off the ground at high speed dozens of times, creating an explosive reaction force for high-speed movement.Moon Walk (Geppo): A variation of Shave, with a principle similar to the Wudang Cloud Stepping Ladder. Using powerful leg strength, the user kicks the air itself, creating powerful lift, allowing them to walk on air as if climbing stairs.Tempest Kick (Rankyaku): Through ultra-high-speed kicks, a vacuum is created, generating cutting attacks that can easily slice a target in half.Paper Drawing (Kami-e): Releasing all the strength in the body, making it as light and thin as paper. The user dodges attacks by sensing the changes in airflow caused by the opponent's movements.
"Everyone except me and Drake, pick one technique and start practicing."
The Six Powers could be learned individually. Some people, even if they weren't the brightest, could become quite renowned by specializing in just one technique. Bellamy's plan was to have his subordinates master one of the Six Powers first.
Iron Body, for example, was excellent. Mastery of Iron Body allowed one to tank bullets with their physical defense. In Minion Town, being able to withstand bullets definitely qualified someone as a master.
As for himself, of course, he'd learn all of them.
Life Return was what he coveted the most.
Mastering Life Return allowed for free control of the body, hair, and internal organs. This would be incredibly helpful in his further development of the Spring-Spring Fruit.
Especially the control of hair growth. In Bellamy's vision, the upcoming Second Gear - Springman form would be able to fly freely in the air. And hair would play a very important role in that.
Since they were learning the Six Powers, the previous training with the cave launch had to be put on hold. Fortunately, the Six Powers also significantly increased one's strength.
Just the Shave technique alone would vastly improve Bellamy's movement speed. His speed was already incredibly fast. At least, so far, no one had been able to keep up with his spring-powered launch. After all, he was the Spring-Spring Man. He was confident he wouldn't lose to anyone in terms of ground speed.
After obtaining the training method for Shave, he immediately began to improve his movement style.
The principle of Shave was to continuously kick off the ground dozens of times at high speed. His spring-powered movement, on the other hand, involved releasing all the spring force stored within his body the instant his feet touched the ground.
The principles of the two were vastly different, but that was fine. Bellamy was confident he could combine them.
He could combine the continuous bursts and the single burst. By reducing the number of continuous kicks and weakening the power of the single burst.
Bellamy called this combined technique Godspeed - Shave.
Of course, this technique was still in its nascent stages, requiring constant refinement until he found the perfect ratio. This ratio was unique to Bellamy and couldn't be taught to anyone else. Therefore, this Godspeed - Shave was a technique exclusive to him.
With the theory worked out, all that was left was relentless training.
The martial arts hall was already quite large, but it was still far from sufficient for the training Bellamy needed. He went directly to the vast forest, training alone. While training, he could also look for tigers, gathering the materials he needed for his medicinal soups.
Even as a semi-finished technique, moving at such terrifying speed still created a tremendous disturbance.
From that day on, terrifying explosions would occasionally echo from the forest. This terrified the residents of Minion Town, and they sent many hunters into the forest to investigate. But the hunters were also afraid of death. As soon as the explosions sounded, they would turn and run.
As time went on, no one on Minion Island dared to enter the forest. This was an outcome Bellamy had never anticipated.
One month later.
On the outskirts of the forest, in an open grassy area, two figures seemed to be facing off.
The shorter figure looked serious, a hint of nervousness in his expression.
The other figure, with a relaxed expression, stood casually with his arms crossed.
"Drake, come at me. Let me see how much you've improved in the past month," Bellamy said impatiently, seeing that Drake hadn't moved.
"Bellamy, are you looking down on me?" Clearly, Bellamy's attitude irritated Drake.
"It's Captain, you bastard."
After living together for a month, they had become quite familiar with each other. Drake had completely figured out Bellamy's temperament. He only respected the strong. He wouldn't even remember the names of those he deemed weak.
"So, in his mind, am I strong or weak?" Drake really cared about this. "How can I be looked down upon by a pirate?"
Transformation: Allosaurus.
In the space of a breath, Drake transformed into his Allosaurus form. Bellamy could clearly feel that his transformation speed had increased.
The others watching from the edge of the grassy area were seeing Drake's full transformation for the first time.
"Waaah, I feel like my position in the crew is going to drop even lower," Ross whined. His premonition was correct. Bellamy was already planning to give Drake more responsibilities.
"I'm so envious. Drake actually ate an Ancient Zoan type Devil Fruit," Muret said, her eyes filled with envy. The training during this period had exhausted her. But her strength had improved very slowly, unable to keep up with the others.
Hearing her complaint, Mia had a thought and pulled Muret aside, whispering, "Envious? If I find the Imitation Fruit one day, would you be willing to eat it?"
"What?! No way!"
She wouldn't be willing to be treated as an ingredient and thrown into a pot to be boiled, not even if her life depended on it.
"Rejected," Muret immediately refused Mia's outrageous request.
"Aww, but you just said you were envious."
Her plan quickly falling apart, Mia was deeply disheartened.
"Don't be ridiculous! That's completely different!"
While the spectators were chattering, the two figures in the center of the grassy area suddenly moved.
