Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: The First Meeting of Two Artists

The cheerful girl bounced over, circling Otonashi non-stop, her face slightly flushed.

"Senpai is so handsome today!"

"Of course, senpai is always handsome, but I still prefer senpai in casual clothes."

The girl flattered him shamelessly. Growing up, she would most likely have a character like Tsunade, a heroine among women.

Otonashi was annoyed by the circling, but he wasn't good at dealing with this kind of girl in either of his lifetimes. He had no choice but to take a step back and change the subject.

"Didn't your teacher, Lord Orochimaru, come?"

"Teacher is too busy. He promised to take me on a mission." The girl put her hands behind her head and muttered.

On a mission?

Otonashi obviously thought more about it. In his memory, this Mitarashi Anko seemed to have been treated very badly by Orochimaru. She was also unlucky, following Orochimaru of all people.

His heart moved. As a normal person, he didn't want to see the girl jump into a fire pit.

"If you can go to the front lines, go. You should also experience the hardships of the battlefield."

"In the same squad as senpai? Anyway, Shizune has also left."

"This..." Otonashi didn't expect this guy to take advantage of the situation and be so active. He hadn't thought of a countermeasure yet, when he heard Obito shout.

"The bride and groom are coming out, they're so beautiful!"

He saw a couple walking out from the side of the shrine. The woman was gentle and charming, the trailing white kimono complementing her scarlet hair, making her look beautiful and radiant. The man was wearing a striped gorgeous dress, his golden hair shining, his smile gentle. They walked from the center leading to the main hall of the shrine, waving to the guests on both sides.

What a golden couple!

Many people instantly stared straight at them. Even Minato's political enemies had to sigh at how well-matched the two were, and sigh that a beauty was matched with a hero.

Otonashi glanced slightly and saw Shisui with an admiring face, Kakashi with wide eyes, Itachi with a blank face, and Rin and Anko with little stars in their eyes.

As for Obito? This guy's eyes were darting back and forth on the side of the stage, obviously trapped in some kind of fantasy.

The wedding was hosted by the Third Hokage. The process was also a bit neither fish nor fowl, neither Western nor Japanese. The couple, whose faces were flushed as if they were trapped in a happy drunkenness, first bowed to each other, then read their vows, and then received wine cups from the maids and offered wine to each other, the Hokage, and the gods three times.

Finally, they put the delivered rings on each other's ring fingers, and the infatuated look on their faces made people think they couldn't wait to enter the bridal chamber.

After the ceremony, they turned around and walked out of the shrine hall, standing on the three-tiered stone steps to thank the guests. Otonashi sat quietly below, and his eyes collided with the groom's in the air for a moment, and the latter smiled slightly and then moved away.

"The ceremony is over!"

With the Third Hokage's shout, everyone in the shrine stood up. The entire wedding was very simple and quick. The main time was occupied by the oath and the wine offering.

"Is that it?" Otonashi also stood up blankly, and hadn't recovered yet.

"Ah? The process of Konoha weddings is like this. We're just here to witness it. Do you have something to say to Minato-sensei?" Shisui was stunned for a moment. There were no other customs here.

Otonashi scratched his face after giving the gift money, wondering why there wasn't a banquet. Where was the promised feast?

"Then why don't they leave?" Otonashi pointed to those important figures who were smiling fake and chatting.

"Oh, Minato-sensei considered that it's rare to meet each other during the war, so he took advantage of his wedding to have everyone chat. There will also be a specially prepared lunch later."

Hearing this, Otonashi sat down directly and said decisively, "Then I'm not leaving either."

"Why?"

The teenager turned his head, looked at the Uchiha family members, and replied seriously, "Because I'm poor."

Pfft...

Obito almost couldn't hold back. He had to cover his mouth and force himself to breathe, otherwise laughing and rolling on the ground at this wedding would definitely get him hung up and beaten.

"Then I'll stay with senpai too." How could the little follower Anko miss this opportunity.

"No, you have more important things to do. Didn't you want to be in the same squad as me? Now is the time to apply."

Seeing Otonashi's serious face, Anko stood up dazed, just like when she was asking for advice at school, bowed and ran away like a fly.

"Are you just deceiving people like this?" Shisui asked with a smile.

"Tch, Anko is two years older than you. Don't say such old-fashioned words. Hurry up and leave, don't delay me." Otonashi waved his hand impatiently, glanced at a certain guy in the distance, took out the notebook from his arms and slowly opened it.

Shisui wanted to persuade him again, but saw Itachi next to him stretching his neck out of curiosity to look at the notebook, so he quickly picked him up and ran away.

The tactic of "not suitable for children" was surprisingly effective.

With his partners gone, Otonashi found a corner to sit down and concentrate on completing his new work. Unfortunately, the atmosphere in this ninja world was conservative. Over the years, he had no choice but to admire himself.

A whole row of drawing pens was spread out for coloring, and a certain twin-tailed losing heroine with a sulky face leaped onto the paper. Just as Otonashi was preparing to increase the amplitude of her chest, a voice suddenly came from behind.

"Oh, kid, you draw pretty well." Jiraiya squatted on the wall. He had collected enough "body data" just now and was preparing to tell his disciple before leaving, when he saw a teenager drawing in the corner.

That curvature... It must not be a proper painting!

With the intuition of an old pervert, he jumped over in an instant, half surprised and half regretful.

He was surprised by the teenager's strong sketching skills, which could be said to be lifelike. He was regretful that this blonde twin-tailed girl was still wearing clothes.

Back to reality, Otonashi turned his head, saw the color behind him, and nodded slightly: "Lord Jiraiya, what do you want to teach?"

Being recognized didn't surprise Jiraiya at all. He stroked his chin and said, "Well, I just think you don't draw thoroughly enough."

"No, I think this appearance of wanting to refuse but still welcoming is just right, especially the absolute domain between this short skirt and white silk is more attractive than being naked." Otonashi became interested when he talked about art, and babbled on, listening to Jiraiya nodding repeatedly.

"Kid, you understand it well."

"I don't dare, I don't dare. Lord Jiraiya is the best among perverts."

The two blew each other for a while, and Jiraiya simply jumped down, rubbing his palms: "Are there any more exciting ones?"

Otonashi didn't say anything and simply flipped forward a few pages, and then he saw a clear red flow spurt out of Jiraiya's nose.

The painting style was impeccable, with so-called shape, spirit, and color, all in place. Jiraiya even felt that it was not inferior to a real beautiful girl in reality. He couldn't help but have an idea.

"Cough, cough, that's right, I'm preparing to write a novel now, and I think it would be better if there were illustrations."

"Illustrations? Lord Jiraiya is probably mistaken. My art is used for self-appreciation. Providing it to others may involve great risks. What if someone notices my weakness?"

Otonashi looked at the old pervert and paused slightly: "You have to pay."

"Okay, but you have to give me a discount." As one of the Sannin, Jiraiya should have been a wealthy man, but he revealed an air of poverty.

"Of course, it's a friendship price." Otonashi didn't lick people when he saw them. He wrote a string of numbers on the drawing book, and Jiraiya looked at them and revealed a painful expression, and then nodded heavily.

"But you have to follow my requirements."

"Easy to say."

The two were whispering in the corner, and they had already been seen by interested people, and they all thought that this Hanyu Otonashi really had great skills, not letting go of any opportunity to ask for advice.

Only Uzumaki Kushina, who had changed her clothes, twitched her eyebrows frantically and immediately looked at her husband next to her. Poor Minato scratched his head and smiled wryly. How could he come forward to stop this kind of thing.

Furthermore, the two 'artists' were discussing enthusiastically. After agreeing on the price, Jiraiya also said that he would definitely send Otonashi a signed copy when the book was published. With similar interests, Otonashi was also seriously listening to Jiraiya's description and recording it non-stop.

"The heroine should have blond hair, about waist length, and her expression should be a bit tough, not the kind of bullied appearance. The clothes should be the sailor suit from just now, but the focus is on the chest." Jiraiya smiled and gestured in front of his chest.

"It should be about this big!"

Otonashi nodded repeatedly, and the character image was slowly forming in his mind. Then, the more he thought about it, the more something was wrong, and he suddenly raised his head.

"Hey, you're not using Lady Tsunade as a model, are you!"

"Shh, keep your voice down. Just don't admit it."

The teenager put down his drawing pen, looked at the man spitting everywhere, and felt that he had taken on an S-rank mission. If the news was exposed, he would probably be shot on the spot.

Looking at the sky where the snow had disappeared, he seemed to be able to feel that this was the last time to rest.

Early spring was approaching, the battlefield was warming up, and the killing was about to begin.

It was good to earn some money to supplement his nutrition.

"Submit the first draft in five days, but Lord Jiraiya—" Otonashi took a breath and said solemnly:

"Be sure to keep it secret. I don't want to die young!"
