Chapter 15
After a few more hours of rest, I decided to leave my body where it was, giving Nike something to snuggle with, and prepared my dungeon for an entrance. But before I could begin, I needed to make some adjustments.
First, I moved some of my mobs around. I relocated the crystal mice from Room Two into the walkway connecting it to Room One, giving them strict orders not to enter the first room unless they were chasing out delvers. As for the snakes in Room Three, I directed them to the Mushroom Room, freeing up the third room entirely for the new mob I was about to summon.
With everything set, I summoned my first crystal bee drone—and damn, it was bigger than I expected. The creature was nearly the size of a medium-sized dog, its sleek black granite body adorned with shimmering amber crystals along its back, almost like crystallized honey. The moment it spawned, it immediately began trying to dig into the floor.
Unfortunately for it, my dungeon's walls and tunnels were reinforced with mana when I shaped them, making it nearly impossible to break through. Just as I was about to intervene, my panel suddenly flashed with a notification:
[Two ore deposits discovered: Silver and Gold. Would you like a drone to be sent to mine the ore deposits?]
I hovered over YES, and the drone finally managed to dig its way toward the ore veins. After watching it work for a moment, I decided to name this one Foreman and let it go about its business. Then, I summoned two more drones to act as guards for Room Three.
Admiring their sturdy bodies, I took in their black granite exoskeletons, their six thick legs built for digging, and the way their amber crystals pulsed faintly with energy. They were beautiful in their own way, and I knew they would be a valuable addition to my dungeon.
Now, it was time to focus on my dungeon entrance.
A short distance away from Room One, I shaped an opening that looked like a pit drop, then used my mana to summon crystals that formed a stairway leading down into the hole. Not wanting adventurers to simply fall in by accident (or on purpose), I reinforced the stairway with crystal barriers, ensuring that anyone entering had to intentionally step onto the path.
Satisfied with my work, I realized I needed Nike's opinion. After last night's… performance, I didn't want to disappoint him. Feeling a second wind of motivation, I began making small refinements throughout my dungeon—adding more of the glowing mushrooms from the Mushroom Room to the tunnel ceilings, providing dim ambient light throughout the dungeon.
Then, I turned my attention to my Core Room and began expanding it. On the opposite side of the dungeon's main rooms, I started carving out a new section, planning ahead for any future residents. Bit by bit, I shaped the space, ensuring there would be room for whatever came next.
That's when my panel flashed again:[Delver incoming. Plan your defenses and prepare for delving.]
I immediately shot my vision toward the dungeon entrance, eager to see who was coming—only to witness something I least expected.
A tall, green-skinned woman sprinted toward the entrance, glancing back in terror before she dove straight into the dungeon. She didn't even use the stairs I worked so hard on! Instead, she plummeted down and continued to run, clearly fleeing from something.
And then, I saw it.
A monster.
It looked like a werewolf, but bulkier—more bear than wolf—and it was charging straight toward my entrance.
A new panel appeared.
[Invader incoming. Defend the dungeon.]
My mind instantly switched to battle mode.
I quickly ordered all my mobs to gather in the last room, the only one large enough to hold all of them in one place. Then, I projected my voice toward the fleeing woman:
"Run! I will protect you. Follow the tunnels—you will pass through three rooms. The last one has monsters, but they will not attack you. Avoid the mushrooms along the way!"
With that taken care of, I rushed back to my body, fully intending to wake Nike up and warn him about the situation.
But the moment I returned to my body and opened my eyes…
I was not prepared for what I saw.
For the first time since meeting him, Nike was wearing clothes. I didn't even know he had any! Then again, considering what he was wearing, I wasn't sure if this counted as actual clothing.
Nike stood there, geared up… sort of.
He wore a tight crop top, leaving most of his toned stomach exposed. Below that, he had on booty shorts so short that his ass was nearly hanging out, and there was a very clear outline of his dick. The only actual armor he seemed to be wearing was a pair of shin guards and gauntlets.
I blinked. "Nike, I need your help—someone was chased into the dungeon. Also… where the hell did you get clothes? I didn't know you even had any."
Nike gave me a cheeky grin, adjusting his gauntlets before turning toward the exit. "Didn't you get beginner gear when you got your class? It should be in your inventory."
Instead of looking completely clueless, I quickly pulled up my panel and checked my inventory. Sure enough, there it was:
[Gear Set: Theme - Incubus]
I didn't bother reading the full description—I just hit EQUIP.
Instantly, four items appeared on my body.
And dear gods, I had never felt more embarrassed in my life.
The first piece was a skimpy crop top, so short and revealing that my nipples were fully visible.
The second was a long cloth draped in the front and back—almost like a skirt, but with the sole purpose of hiding my cock and the crack of my ass.
The third item was an obsidian dagger, shaped like a ceremonial knife with strange demonic runes carved into the blade.
The final piece was a staff, made of twisted dark wood, long enough to serve as a proper weapon. At the top, an animal skull was mounted, giving it a sinister aesthetic.
Standing there, I stared down at myself, my face burning in embarrassment.
Nike, on the other hand, simply smirked.
"Well," he said, eyeing me up and down, "that's a look."
I groaned. "Let's just go. We have an intruder to deal with."
Nike chuckled, already moving ahead. "Sure, sure… but I hope you realize, I'm never letting you live this down."
I sighed, adjusting my ridiculous outfit, and hurried after him—fully aware that I had just given Nike endless ammunition for teasing me in the future.
For now, though, I had bigger things to worry about.
Like the invader rampaging through my dungeon.
