Chapter 10 - A Day with you

During their lunch, they were taken to an incredibly beautiful location—so breathtaking that Serena couldn't close her mouth in awe.

Serena was truly mesmerized by the scenery and deeply touched by the effort Ren had put into planning this date in such a stunning place.

Ren's smile never faded as he watched Serena, completely captivated and overjoyed. His handsome face, combined with his warm smile, made it impossible for the female staff serving them to look away. If not for their professionalism, they might have fainted on the spot, overwhelmed by how charming Ren looked when he smiled.

As Serena enjoyed the lunch Ren had ordered, she nodded repeatedly, savoring every bite of the delicious meal.

"How is it?" Ren asked, even though he already knew the answer from Serena's expression. He just wanted to hear it from her lips.

"It's absolutely delicious!" Serena responded happily.

Ren sighed in relief.

"I'm glad."

Serena gave Ren a sweet smile before continuing to eat. Their lunch was filled with a relaxed, comfortable, and romantic atmosphere. Between bites, they casually chatted about everything—even the smallest, most trivial topics became subjects of conversation.

Anyone who saw how harmonious and perfect their relationship was would surely sigh in envy. After all, who wouldn't want to be treated like a queen by a handsome, mature man?

After finishing their meal, Ren invited Serena to take a walk and digest their food.

He extended his hand toward her. Serena glanced at his hand, then at Ren, as if silently asking,

"What's with your hand?"

Ren chuckled, seemingly able to read her thoughts.

"May I hold your hand?"

he finally asked.

Serena blushed, realizing she hadn't understood his intention right away. Slowly, she placed her hand in his, and Ren gently held it. His smile grew even brighter now that he could finally hold the hand of the woman he loved.

"Ren…" Serena called softly.

"Hmm?"

"How did you find this place?" she asked, genuinely curious.

"This place recently underwent major renovations a few months ago and only opened a few days ago, so it makes sense that you haven't heard of it yet,"

Ren answered, half-truthfully.

The other half? He had actually found out about this place from his secretary, Rendy. Ren had been busy searching for the perfect lunch date spot when Rendy, who happened to see the articles Ren was browsing, suggested this place. After checking it out, Ren realized it was exactly what he had been looking for.

"I should give Rendy a big bonus,"

Ren thought to himself.

"No wonder," Serena replied. "If Iril knew about this place, she would've talked my ear off about it and dragged me here already."

"So… should we take some pictures here?" Ren suggested.

Serena's face lit up as she nodded eagerly. She was about to hand her phone to Ren, but he took it only to use his own phone for the photos instead.

The restaurant staff, seeing how much Ren enjoyed photographing Serena, wanted to step in and offer to take their pictures together.

"Should I go and help them take a couple photo?" one of the female staff whispered to her colleague.

"What if we end up disturbing them?" her colleague replied hesitantly.

Just then, they heard Serena's laughter as Ren showed her the pictures he had taken. The black-haired staff clenched her fists, took a deep breath, and finally approached them.

"Pardon me for interrupting, sir and ma'am," the staff said politely. "Would you like me to take a photo of you two together?"

At first, Ren frowned slightly at being interrupted. But the moment he heard her offer, he smiled.

Without hesitation, he handed her his phone.

As she prepared to take their picture, the staff noticed that both Ren and Serena seemed awkward.

"Are they feeling shy about being photographed by a stranger?" she wondered.

"There's no need to feel awkward," she encouraged them. "Just think of this as spending time with family, and I'm simply helping to capture the moment."

Ren and Serena exchanged glances, realizing they had indeed been acting stiff. They laughed together, and at that very moment, the staff captured a perfect shot.

As they became more comfortable, they spent more time taking photos together, chatting about things that intrigued them.

When Ren and Serena finally bid farewell, the staff who had helped them felt an immense sense of satisfaction.

While taking their pictures and videos, she had felt like she was watching a romantic drama unfold. The way Ren's gaze never strayed far from Serena made her want to squeal in excitement. Thankfully, she managed to stay professional.

"Will I ever have a man like that?" she murmured to herself.

"You? A man like him? That's impossible," her manager suddenly chimed in.

Before she could get upset, her manager added something that left her completely speechless—Ren had given her a tip equivalent to an entire year's salary.

As they settled into the car, Ren turned to Serena.

"Where do you want to go now? Shopping? A movie?"

he asked.

"Oh… Aren't you going back to work?" Serena asked in return.

"Serena… Have you forgotten? You promised that today, I'd accompany you wherever you want to go," Ren said, pretending to look heartbroken.

Seeing his expression, Serena giggled.

Unknowingly, in just a few hours with Ren, she had never stopped smiling.

"Really?" she asked dramatically, teasing him. "But if I recall correctly, we only agreed to have lunch together."

"No, no… That's absolutely not true! Lunch was just the beginning. After that, I'm staying by your side," Ren insisted, refusing to back down.

Serena chuckled again.

"Alright, alright! So, where should we go next?" she asked.

"It's up to you, Serena! I'll go wherever you want."

Serena hesitated, worried that Ren might get bored if they did what she wanted.

"Don't hesitate," Ren said, as if reading her mind again. "For me, being by your side is the best and happiest moment."

Serena fell silent, completely stunned by his words.
