Henry used his body to shield May as the demon's blood pour on them and shut his eyes tight as he waited for anything that makes might happen next, but nothing did. He opened his eyes, surprised by the fact that what the demon pour on them was ordinary blood.
"Nothing happened" Henry said as he stared at the body and watched the blood slowly evaporated into the night sky along with the demon. "If it was just blood, then why did she pour her blood on us"
Henry eyes widened.
"May, are you alright?" Henry asked.
"Ahhh!!!!, Arghhh!!!" May yelled and held her face. "It burns!!!, It burns!!!. Please, make it stop!!!"
"It's okay" Henry said and hugged May. So much for asking her out. "It's going to be fine, just calm down. Let me get you home; it's too dangerous," Henry said and separated himself from May as she stopped screaming, and to his surprise, there was no injury on her face. "May, your face... there... there is no scar."
"What!!?" She said and felt her face with her hand, slowly and gently rubbing her hand on her face.
May fell down and began shaking violently, Henry tried to calm her but he couldn't.
_Is she transforming into a... demon_
"Don't tell me you're a..." Henry tried to speak as May jumped on him, he held her back and struggled to push her back. "May, snap out of it."
_That demon. It wasn't trying to harm us, it spread it's blood on us knowing fully well about May's open wound. Although I shielded May, just a single drop was all it took to transfer from May into a demon_
"I'm sorry!, I'm really sorry" Henry apologized as he struggles with her. "I couldn't save your mother and I couldn't save you. It was my fault, I let it happen. Maybe I was jealous. Your life was so perfect, you always brag about your father buying you the best thing and your mother always caring for you. I was just selfish" Henry patted May's head with his right hand. "I'm sorry, and I understand if you want to kill me"
Henry stopped struggling, threw his arms wide open and closed his eyes, waiting for anything that was going to happen next.
Tears dropped on his face and he quickly opened his eyes.
May was crying. She suddenly stood up and left, running faster than Henry's eyes could see.
Few minutes later, a bunch of supernaturals came to help his aid. Before he could say anything, he suddenly collapsed.

Henry woke up and found himself chained to a chair and a bright bulb above his head which was preventing him from seeing the rest part of the room. Gradually, his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he could now see a woman dressed in a black corporate suit and sitting on a chair that was a few meters away from him.
"Finally, you're awake" she said with a hint of excitement but she still looked serious.
"Where am I?" Henry asked, he was still feeling a little bit dizzy. "Why did you kidnap me!?"
"You're in the ASE holding chamber" she replied briefly.
"You could have simply asked me to follow you!. Who are you?!, And why I'm I even here?!"
"I'm Emily and from now on, I'll by asking the questions"
"Could you please unchain me?" Henry asked but Emily didn't pay any attention to him.
"First, did you encounter a demon?"
"Of course I did; I almost died and..." She clears her throat. Henry stopped and then answered. "Yes"
"I want you to explain everything that happened."
"Okay,"
Henry explained everything that happened except for the part May was turned into a demon, he didn't even say anything about her. Of they know she is a demon, they might try to do some experiment on her or maybe even kill her.
"I heard there was a girl at the scene, the daughter of the victim."
"No, I didn't meet anyone; I guessed she must have run away or been killed and eaten on the spot."
"Can the demon talk?"
"Y... No!"
"Hmm... Okay" she said uncertainly, like she was expecting something more. "The demon was already dispatched before any supernatural arrive, can you explain that to me?"
"It was nothing much"
Emily leaned back on her chair brought a folded piece of paper out of her pocket and opened it. " According to our research, your father was also a supernatural. He died about three years ago, and your mom left few months earlier. Is that correct?"
Henry looked at her boldly without saying a word.
"Before your father died, he made some arrangements for you to be transferred to an orphanage but you manage to escape"
"Let's just say I don't like staying with people" Henry said confidently.
Emily smile a bit.
"The victim daughter isn't confirm dead so we'll still be looking for her, since your technique has finally awaken, you know to attend the Academy"
"What if I don't want to"
"Then you'll be transferred to an orphanage"
"But I already have a place to stay"
"According to the ASE law by the council of the twelve sages, You have to be at least sixteen to own a house"
"So?"
"You can't live there," she stated.
"We would have let you stay if there was an older member of your family living with you."
Emily stood up and walked to the door.
"I can help you, but you have to enroll at the academy first. We'll contact you when we are ready to see you, but for now, we'll let you go," she said as she walked out of the room.
