Chapter 4 - -IV

---

"I know, Mr. Shin, I understand what you are trying to say, but please try to understand if we just, for some hours, let them go out in the garden to bask in the sun, then I believe and have strong faith that they will feel good, even just for some hours.

"I... I know it's not right and maybe dangerous, but I do promise you that with the help of Liam, our helper, we will pay extra attention to them.

Besides, our confinement's security is strong, I guess," she pleaded to the higher general officer of the solitary confinement, pleading with all her heart while walking beside the general officer, Mr. Shin, who is right now not actually paying much attention to her and walking towards his office.

"Stop it, Venisa." Mr. Shin stopped just as he reached near his office door.

"I have said it hundreds of times and will say it again-this isn't good, it is dangerous, and I believe that being a smart and responsible woman, you yourself know that."

Mr. Shin's voice was a little stern, just enough to make her shut up and forget about this idea, which he thinks is ridiculous in his eyes.

"But, Mr. Shin, try to understand, they will-"

Mr. Shin, cutting her off, now says in an impatient and slightly warning way,

"Venisa, you are a good and smart woman, that's why you are here, and I think you know that. And if you have forgotten that, then take this as a slight warning from me... Stay away from Cein."

"If you think you can just build any forbidden emotions in your heart, that too in this place, then you are solely wrong."

"Take it as advice too, because forbidden things and feelings don't have good endings. Remember that."

With that, Mr. Shin leaves for his office.

Venisa, still trying to come out of the shock, stares ahead, deep in thought. She sits down on the bench, her head slightly low.

"Why? Am I doing something wrong?" She looks at the sky, her eyes slightly getting teary. "God? Are you there? If yes, then why? Why did you put me in such a tough and confusing situation?!"

She sighs softly, looking down as if ashamed and fed up. "Yes, I agree, I do have feelings for... him. My Cein."

"Maybe I'm selfish or going against the law and the world. And maybe, deep down, I don't care, even after knowing that this is wrong."

From the office through the window, Mr. Shin stares and hears every single word she says.

Not entirely shocked, because for the past few months, he had his doubts about her-watching her give excuses for how she forgot to check the time while treating Cein. They were all ridiculous lies, just to spend more time with Cein.

"This isn't good... The end won't be good for you, Venisa... for your forbidden love."

Mr. Shin, dialing a number on his mobile, says to the other person on the call,

"Do as I say. We need some changes here, right from today. Can't have our rules and laws being joked around anymore."

The rest of the talk remains unknown.

Sighing, she enters the cell, but Liam, one of their helpers, interrupts her, stepping in front, blocking her way.

Frowning, her eyebrows knit in confusion. "Liam? Do you want to talk to me about something? Sorry, I can't right now, I have to treat patient Cein-"

Cutting her off, Liam replies,

"Miss Venisa, I'm not here to talk. Actually, Mr. Shin changed some rules. You didn't see the rules board outside?"

She is more confused now. "Changed rules? What are you saying? When and why did Mr. Shin do that?"

Liam replies, "Miss Venisa, Mr. Shin said something is wrong and that changes need to be made.

"Also, I felt he was kind of angry-maybe from work or something, but God knows. Anyways, seems like you still don't know, so let me tell you-actually, from now onwards, patient number 117, which is uh... Cein, you see-from now, you won't be his doctor anymore.

Mr. Shin has hired a new doctor for him."

"He said that it's important and that he CARES for you, so he thinks that Cein isn't a normal patient. It's tough to tend to him, so yeah."

Saying that, Liam leaves, double-checking the cell door before properly closing it.

She couldn't say anything or show her anger at this stupid rule of Mr. Shin, but she knows that if she did something stupid, she would lose all chances of meeting Cein.

Stomping her foot slightly on the ground, she gazes at the locked cell door.

Her eyes are glossy, thinking about how uncomfortable and even worse it will be for Cein-getting treated by someone else... someone else will touch him, talk with him, try to make him open up.

These thoughts drive her almost crazy. She can't stand the closed door, the usual image of him just sitting there in silence, almost as if in a grave.

A tear rolls down from her right eye, yet her feet can't take her towards the closed door anymore, so she leaves. Not before glancing back at the door one more time.

"I will talk to Mr. Shin. He can't do this to me! I know he did it intentionally."

Wiping her wet cheeks, she continues walking towards Mr. Shin's office, determined to ask him why he can't just let her treat him... her Cein.

"Despite knowing his past-his past crimes of killing seven psychiatrists-still, he is choosing to hire one more psychiatrist! I can't let that happen. Cein's condition is already not good. Letting him get treated by some new doctor is absurd to me! He won't cooperate! I know! I know because-"

Sighing as she reaches Mr. Shin's office, she takes a deep breath.

"Because Cein is only mine."
