Winter has faded away, and I find myself relishing the warm breeze of spring. Lying beneath a tree and gazing up at the blue sky brings a sense of tranquility.
"Ah, spring is truly delightful," I muse. "Perhaps its beauty is enhanced by the contrast with the harsh winter we just endured. It's like how the flavor of ice cream becomes so much richer after having endured the bitterness of medicine. "
As I let my hands rest behind my head, I close my eyes and savor this moment of relaxation. Today, I'm in a great mood. What's behind this uplifted spirit? Hehe, it's simply because I've managed to resolve several challenges I was facing.
Let's take stock of my dilemmas: 1) My Energy Storage [Em] is stagnant, 2) I'm wasting Energy via my magic usage, 3) Convincing people to join the Will of God cult, and 4) Improving and becoming the god of a new world.
While I may not have tackled challenges three and four just yet, I have found solutions for the first two. If my body can't house the pure Energy [Em] I need, the answer lies in modifying it to accommodate a substantial amount without strain.
This idea sparked from a memory in my [Soul Codex]. I stumbled upon a recollection of a cultivation comic I once read where the protagonist underwent a body reconstruction to reach the next level.
From that, inspiration struck: what if I were to reconstruct my body with Energy [Em] to expand the storage capacity in my heart? This could also enhance all bodily functions—speeding up the purification process of Mana into Energy [Em] and improving my control over it due to a body that's more compatible with Energy [Em].
After contemplating this, I began to simulate the necessary steps in my mind for this plan to succeed. Once I completed my mental simulation, I concluded that this strategy would be highly beneficial and could make me quite formidable if I succeeded, particularly at the most challenging stage: the Reconstruction of the Brain.
I realized that if I could successfully reconstruct my body, it would become extraordinarily compatible with Energy [Em], allowing it to flow passively throughout me. This would mean I'd be continuously using [Body Enhancement Magic] without effort, along with a significantly enhanced storage capacity in my heart and a heart that has been reconstructed to recover Energy rapidly.
But the real game-changer would be the brain reconstruction. If I achieve that, I could invoke various magical phenomena without a conscious thought process. Why is that possible? Because when we cast magic without incantations, we typically have to visualize the functioning of the spell, think through the output, and even experience a delay when channeling Mana into our hands.
All those complex processes can be simplified through brain reconstruction. With a reconstructed brain, the workings of magic can be processed automatically within, allowing for smoother outputs that flow seamlessly without any delay. It feels incredibly natural, akin to the effortless act of raising an arm or walking.
Imagine this: when I think about conjuring rain, my brain automatically springs into action, sending signals to my body to execute exactly what I envision.
Isn't that an overpowering ability? However, it comes with significant risks. The brain is the most complex and sensitive organ in the body, and failure could mean instant death. Additionally, it requires an immense amount of energy.
I realize I need to conduct experiments first on living beings, and I must store my [Em] energy in a solid form for later use in reconstructing my body. So far, I've gathered about 13 {Magic Beads}, which I created from my [Em] energy. Each {Magic Bead} takes me an entire week to produce; it's truly exhausting. On top of that, I'm currently studying magical circles, which will be crucial for my endeavors.
Now, let's address my second challenge: controlling my [Em] energy more efficiently and effectively. For this, I'm adopting the principles of magic incantations.
Magic incantations are fascinating; when you understand the fundamental principles behind them, you realize they function like keywords that activate pre-established templates stored within the fabric of the world. For instance, when you chant a water spell, your body automatically processes the output according to the defined parameters.
With this in mind, I attempted to create a new incantation, using [Celsius] as my template, with the keyword being "Control the temperature around me [Celsius]. " And what happened? Nothing...
I pondered for a moment, and then I decided to emulate those in cultivation comics, making an oath to the world.
"Oh world, my name is William Greyrat. I ask you to remember this magic that I have created! " I shouted that aloud before reciting the spell and template I had prepared.
To my surprise, after doing so, my magic vanished as if swallowed by something. I sensed that it had worked, so I bravely recited the incantation I had devised, and indeed, my magic activated automatically.
This filled me with great joy! Subsequently, I created several magic templates for everyday use, like [Waterball], [Fireball], and even a spell called [Cleanse] that makes the body clean and fragrant.
Additionally, I developed a magic template called [Body Enhancement], divided into three tiers to refine the output of the magic I unleash.
With this incantation concept, I felt a sense of security for the time being.
"Meow. "
While I was lost in thought about my training and plans, a white cat meowed beside me.
"Oh, a cat! Just what I need; I've been wanting to practice my healing magic. "
I approached the casually lounging cat, reaching out to touch its paw. The feline's coat was as luxurious as high-quality silk, and its eyes sparkled an ocean blue, reminiscent of a sunny day.
*Crack! *
*Tear! *
"Meow! ! "
The cat yowled with a painful intensity, its cries echoing in the air. Blood flowed from its right paw, which I had forcibly torn. Before it could escape, I quickly pressed down on its body to prevent it from fleeing. The cat struggled with all its might.
"Meow! ! "
"Hey, hey, little cat. Just hold on; I'm only torn your leg for a moment. [Shine Healing], here we go. "
I leaned in closer to the injured paw, and the advanced healing spell [Shine Healing] began to work its magic. In an instant, the cat's severed limb reattached, showing no signs of a scar or injury whatsoever.
"Ahh, just as expected from an advanced healing spell. Not a trace of a wound left behind," I said with satisfaction as I released the cat.
Freed from my grasp, the cat bolted away, darting as far as it could from me.
"Aww, it's running away... But that's fine; I've completed my test of magic. "
Next, I used the [Cleanse] spell to wipe away the bloodstains from the area.
"It smells so refreshing; this Apple fragrance is incredibly soothing. "
Lying back under the same tree, I gazed up at the sky. However, something felt different this time. I noticed what appeared to be three shadows falling from the sky.
Thinking it was just a trick of the clouds, I closed my eyes again.
"UAAKKHH! ! "
A sudden scream pierced the air above me. When I opened my eyes, three bottoms came into my view.
"WHAT! ? (NANI? ! )"
*Crash! *
