The Aegis Division: The Last Line of Defense
For as long as humanity has existed, the darkness has watched.
Creatures that do not belong to this world lurk just beyond the edge of perception—shapeless, nameless things that flicker between moments of existence.
They are called Blinks, and they are not bound by the laws of reality.
They do not kill in the way humans understand.
They erase.
To be taken by a Blink is to be unmade—removed from time, from memory, from existence itself. Entire villages have vanished overnight, wars have been fought over ghosts, and history has been rewritten more times than anyone will ever know.
The world remains blind to the truth.
But the Aegis Division does not.
---
The Birth of the Aegis Division
Centuries ago, before nations rose and fell, before empires carved their names into the earth, the first of the Blinks was discovered.
It did not kill—it consumed.
An entire kingdom was wiped from reality, leaving behind only the ruins of a city that history does not remember.
But someone survived.
A man whose name has been lost, a figure who disappeared from time itself, leaving only his legacy behind—the formation of the Aegis Division.
For centuries, this secretive order has worked in the shadows, waging a silent war beneath the surface of history.
Hidden within an underground fortress known only as Blacksite Zero, the Division has spent lifetimes developing the only weapons capable of fighting the Blinks.

The War Machines: Fighting the Unseen
Ordinary weapons do not work.
Blades, bullets, fire—they pass through the Blinks like mist.
The only thing that can harm them is the energy they themselves radiate—a force known as Void Current. Captured, studied, and weaponized, Void Current is the only means of defense.
Technology Used by the Aegis Division
Specter Lenses – Specially crafted visors and implants that allow soldiers to see what should not be seen.
Disruptor Gauntlets – Close-range weapons that use extracted Void Current to shatter a Blink's unstable form.
Spectral Charges – Grenades that release a destabilizing wave of energy, forcing Blinks into a perceivable state before being eliminated.
But even with all of this, ordinary soldiers are nothing more than cannon fodder.
There is one final line of defense.
DİRECTİVE ZERO: Those Who Should Not Exist
There are only a handful in the world who have been granted abilities beyond human limitations—a power that should never belong to mankind.
They are called the Directive zero division.
No one is born with these abilities.
Not anymore.
The process of receiving these powers is unknown to all but the highest ranks of the Division. It is said to be painful, irreversible, and borderline inhuman.
Each of the zeros is different.
Their abilities do not follow logic, science, or pattern.
Some can manipulate time in fractured moments, others move between shadows as if they are a part of them. No two are alike.
And they are feared.
Even the highest-ranking officers of the Aegis Division treat them with equal parts reverence and terror.
Because the zeros are not just stronger than ordinary men.
They are something else entirely.

The Captain: The Unseen Tyrant
At the head of the Aegis Division stands Captain Lucian Voss, a name spoken with equal parts fear and respect.
No one knows how long he has been in command.
He does not age. He does not falter.
The role of Captain has been passed down for generations—each leader trained in absolute secrecy, conditioned for years until they are deemed worthy.
But Voss is different.
His presence is overwhelming, his authority unquestioned.
There are rumors—whispers in the lower ranks.
That he is not the first Voss.
That every Captain before him has taken on the same name.
That the real Lucian Voss disappeared long ago, and the one who stands in his place is merely a shadow carrying on his will.
No one questions him.
No one dares.
And above all, no one asks about the one who came before.
Because the last person to do so was erased.

The Missing Ghost: The Forgotten Captain
Before Lucian Voss, there was another.
A legend, a myth—the strongest of the Touched, the first and the last of his kind.
He was not given power.
He was not enhanced.
He was something different.
He led the Division with an iron grip, carving through the Blinks with inhuman precision. He was the first to witness a True Blink and survive.
And then—he vanished.
No body. No trace. No memory.
Even among the highest ranks, no one speaks his name.
Because deep down, they all know the truth.
If a Blink took him, then nothing—not even the Aegis Division—can stand against what's coming.
