Okada nodded, "Agreed. Jack, Nomsa, get ready to defend ourselves!"
Just as the Nervy ship was about to fire another cannonball, the Destiny Bounty suddenly picked up speed. The wind filled the sails, and the ship surged forward.
"What's going on?" Jack shouted, holding onto the railing.
Bolk grinned, "The winds on our side! We might just make it out of here!"
But Kikung's voice cut through the air, "Don't think you can escape that easily! Prepare the..."
Suddenly, a loud, piercing whistle cut through the air, making everyone cover their ears. The whistle grew louder, and the air began to distort around the Destiny Bounty.
"What's happening?" Nomsa shouted, stumbling backwards.
Okada's eyes widened, "It's...it's a warning signal! Someone's coming!"
The Destiny Bounty crew exchanged nervous glances. Who was coming to their rescue? Or was it someone even more dangerous?
The whistle grew louder, and the air continued to distort around the Destiny Bounty. The crew shielded their eyes, waiting for the unknown arrival.
Suddenly, a massive ship burst forth from the distorted air, its hull gleaming with a metallic sheen. The ship was enormous, dwarfing both the Destiny Bounty and the Nervy ship.
"Whoa!" Jack exclaimed; his eyes wide with wonder. "What kind of ship is that?"
Okada's face lit up with excitement. "That's...that's a Celestial-class ship! Only a handful of those exist in the world!"
The Celestial-class ship bore down on the Nervy vessel, its cannons blazing with a fierce blue light. Kikung's eyes went wide as he realized his ship was outgunned.
"Retreat! Retreat!" he shouted, but it was too late.
The Celestial-class ship unleashed a devastating barrage, sending the Nervy ship reeling. The Destiny Bounty crew watched in awe as the Nervy vessel stumbled backwards, its sails in tatters.
But as the Celestial-class ship turned towards the Destiny Bounty, Okada's expression turned cautious. "Wait...who's on that ship? Are they friend or foe?"
The Celestial-class ship's hull slid open, revealing a figure standing at the helm. The figure raised a hand, and a voice boomed across the water...
"Greetings, Destiny Bounty. I am Adam...!"
