Chapter 90 - THE BLOODMOON & THE TITAN'S WRATH

Chapter 90: The Bloodmoon & The Titan's Wrath

The battlefield was a nightmare of blood and mana.

Four Alpha-Class Beasts lay dead, their massive corpses littering the ruined cityscape.

But the King-Class Beast was still rampaging.

And the Calamity-Class Beast was still standing.

Kael and Lucian had done everything to slow it down—only to realize it was evolving mid-battle.

Their mana was low. Their bodies ached.

And just when they thought they had no options left—

Reinforcements arrived.

A red flash.

A golden blur.

And suddenly—

The battlefield shifted.

Two figures landed between Kael and Lucian.

One—a colossus of muscle, an enchanted war axe slung over his back, his entire frame radiating unshakable power.

The other—a red-cloaked warrior, his katana gleaming with sigil-infused blood, his presence making the air hum with raw mana.

Magnus Grimthorne.

Rheon Veyrin.

The Calamity-Class Beast hesitated.

For the first time.

Rheon rolled his shoulders, smirking. "Took you two long enough to call for help."

Kael, still catching his breath, scowled. "We didn't call. You just have good timing."

Magnus cracked his knuckles. "Yeah, yeah. You two go take care of that King-Class Beast—this one's ours now."

Lucian exhaled, his golden eyes gleaming. "You sure?"

Magnus grinned. "I'm a Grimthorne. The bigger they are, the harder I hit."

Rheon unsheathed his katana, its edge gleaming with Crimson Sigils. "And I haven't cut something fun in a while."

Kael locked eyes with Rheon—a silent understanding passing between them.

This was their fight now.

Lucian and Kael had another battle to finish.

Kael and Lucian raced across the battlefield, leaving the Calamity-Class Beast in Rheon and Magnus's hands.

Ahead, the King-Class Beast roared, its massive form covered in obsidian-like scales, its crimson eyes burning with primal fury.

Selene and Mira had held it off—but just barely.

Selene was bleeding from a deep gash in her thigh, her Eclipse Sight flickering.

Mira's sword-arm shook from exhaustion, her breath ragged.

And yet—

Neither had backed down.

Kael arrived first, activating Gravity Domain mid-step.

The pressure around the beast increased tenfold.

Lucian followed immediately after, his draconic mana igniting his blade in golden flames.

Selene exhaled sharply, nodding at Kael. "Took you long enough."

Mira grinned despite the pain. "We softened it up for you."

Kael lifted his sword. "Then let's end this."

The final battle against the King-Class Beast began.

Selene moved like a shadow, her Eclipse Sight flickering as she dodged the beast's attacks before they even came.

Her sword found every weak spot, carving through the gaps in its armor-like hide.

Mira followed up immediately—her attacks weren't just strong, they were relentless.

Her blade danced between openings, cutting deeper with every strike.

But the King-Class Beast wasn't finished.

It reared back—then slammed the ground, sending a shockwave of obsidian spikes erupting from the earth.

Selene barely flashed away in time.

Mira wasn't as lucky—one of the spikes tore through her shoulder.

She gritted her teeth, refusing to scream.

But the beast was already lunging for the kill.

And that's when Kael struck.

Kael's Gravity Chains

Kael slammed his palm down, activating his Gravity Chains mid-dash.

The golden runes wrapped around the beast's limbs, anchoring it in place.

The King-Class Beast struggled, roaring in fury—

But it was too late.

Lucian shot past Kael in a blur of fire.

His sword—now wreathed in golden draconic mana—pierced straight into the beast's exposed eye.

It screamed.

Lucian twisted the blade, unleashing a detonation of pure draconic fire—

And with a final, earth-shaking roar—

The King-Class Beast collapsed.

Dead.

Kael exhaled, his entire body aching.

Lucian pulled his sword free, shaking the blood from its edge.

Mira fell to one knee, gripping her wounded shoulder.

Selene leaned on her sword for balance, breathing hard.

They had won.

But the real battle was still raging behind them.

Kael turned—

And his blood ran cold.

Because Magnus and Rheon were still fighting the Calamity-Class Beast.

And the monster wasn't dead yet.

It was getting stronger.

Kael clenched his fists.

"We have to go back."

Lucian nodded.

And without another word—

The Vanguard ran back into the fray.
