Although General Zod wasn't injured, the visor of his battle armor had cracked, allowing Earth's air to seep inside.
It was just like how Clark had struggled to adapt to the Kryptonian environment inside the ship years ago.
For Zod, adjusting to Earth's "welcome" was proving equally difficult.
Especially after his visor broke, his mind was suddenly flooded with countless voices.
These voices were chaotic and disordered, impossible to make sense of, driving Zod to the brink of madness as his head felt like it was about to explode!
"Pretty uncomfortable, huh?"
Seeing Zod in this state, Clark immediately understood what was happening.
Back when he was growing up, the abilities tied to his Kryptonian bloodline had gradually awakened—especially his super hearing when it first emerged.
It had tormented him relentlessly!
It took him a long time to learn how to block out those overwhelming sounds.
Right now, Zod's situation was a carbon copy of his own back then!
No, wait—
It was worse. An enhanced version.
After all, Zod was far older than him. Even after just a short time under the sun, every cell in his body—starved for who-knows-how-long—had begun frantically absorbing the energy from the yellow sun!
In mere moments, Zod's strength had skyrocketed to a level nearly matching Clark's.
And it didn't stop there;
His power kept surging upward at a relentless pace.
It seemed like this rapid growth wouldn't slow down until every single cell in his body was fully "satisfied."
"Damn it, Kal-El! Don't think I'll let this slide!"
Zod glared viciously at Clark, clutching his head with both hands, his face twisted in agony.
"This planet will be mine in the end!"
"No, your plan will never succeed!" Clark shouted back. "Because I'll never let you win! Give it up, Zod!"
"Never!"
General Zod roared in defiance.
Seeing Zod's stubborn refusal to listen, still clinging to his delusions, Clark decided there was no point in talking anymore.
If words wouldn't work—
Then fists would have to do the talking!
But just as Clark prepared to strike, a barrage of energy bullets slammed into him, forcing him to stagger back.
Kryptonian weaponry wasn't anything like the gunpowder-based weapons of Earth.
Each energy bullet that hit Clark sent a jolt of searing pain through his body.
Gritting his teeth against the onslaught, Clark spotted a small, insect-shaped spacecraft landing nearby. Two Kryptonian warriors disembarked, helping General Zod aboard.
"You're not getting away!"
Clark lunged forward to stop them.
But in the next instant, a figure shot out from behind him, slamming into him and sending him flying.
Meanwhile, at Kent Farm:
Azuma Shoyo watched the small spacecraft take off but made no move to intervene.
The two Kryptonian warriors in front of him were cracking their knuckles, eyeing him eagerly. Azuma's gaze swept over them before drifting to the distant ruins left by an earlier explosion.
He didn't see Fiora emerge from the wreckage. Azuma wasn't sure if she was truly dead—or if she was hiding, waiting for a chance to ambush him.
"Hey, big guy! How'd you get so tall?"
Azuma suddenly called out to the lanky Kryptonian warrior who looked like a beanpole.
The guy stood over eight feet tall.
Yet his frame was incredibly thin.
He looked like a bamboo pole just standing there.
"Has anyone ever told you that you look like a telephone pole?"
Azuma said with a grin.
The warrior roared in anger and charged, swinging a fist at him.
Boom!
Azuma caught the punch with one hand.
"You're too slow!"
He smirked, then launched a fierce kick that sent the towering Kryptonian flying.
"Traitor! Die!!"
The other warrior bellowed, rushing forward.
His fists flew in a frenzy, raining down on Azuma like a storm.
But Azuma dodged with a single sidestep, appearing behind him in a flash. Grabbing the warrior by the back of his neck, he hoisted him up and slammed him into the ground.
BOOM—
The earth trembled as if hit by an earthquake.
Azuma raised his fist and pummeled the warrior's face.
One punch! Two punches! Three punches!
After the third blow, the tall Kryptonian—who'd been kicked away—came charging back.
Azuma grabbed the warrior on the ground and hurled him like a weapon at his comrade.
WHAM!
The two Kryptonians collided and tumbled away, flying over a kilometer in an instant.
Bang!
With a light leap, Azuma closed the thousand-meter gap in a heartbeat, catching up to them.
These two were tough as nails—despite taking several punches from Azuma's strength, equivalent to over 800,000 tons, they still acted like it was nothing.
"This armor's really getting in the way!"
Azuma muttered, then accelerated with a bang, charging forward.
The tall Kryptonian had just climbed to his feet when Azuma grabbed his head and smashed it into the ground.
Dragging the warrior's head along, Azuma flew forward for over ten kilometers before hurling him skyward.
Looking up, scarlet light flared in Azuma's eyes!
A full-powered heat vision blast erupted, the raging energy striking the airborne Kryptonian dead-on.
BOOM—!!!
A deafening explosion rang out!
A smoking figure plummeted diagonally from the sky.
Bang!
Azuma shot forward, grabbing the falling warrior midair.
His body was charred black, his Kryptonian armor reduced to tatters—yet this tall warrior still wasn't dead.
"Kryptonians are really hard to kill!"
Azuma quipped, glancing up at the sun.
Then, gripping the injured warrior, he took off in a flash.
Half a minute later:
Azuma, still holding the guy, had flown to the other side of the planet.
It was nighttime here.
No sun in the sky.
Azuma seized the warrior's head with both hands and unleashed a full-powered heat vision blast right into his face!
"AAAAAAHHH!!!"
The tall Kryptonian let out an agonized scream.
Ten seconds later—
BOOM!
Twin beams of heat vision burst through the back of his skull.
They pierced straight through his head!
One kill secured!
