Chapter 12 - UNREAL GENIUS

Chapter 12

Jayden was casually searching through the market streets when his ears caught a familiar voice—Lolly's.

It was faint, but the fear in her tone sent a chill down his spine. His body moved before his mind could process. He sprinted through the winding alleys, weaving between startled merchants and shoppers, his footsteps silent yet swift.

The moment he turned the last corner, what he saw ignited something unnatural within him.

A man with flaming fists was about to strike Lolly.

Jayden's body blurred—his speed surpassing human limits.

Before the fiery punch could reach her—

A hand gripped the man's wrist.

Tightly.

The flame-user barely had time to react before a crushing force squeezed his arm. Bones groaned under the pressure.

A cold, emotionless voice followed.

"Don't you dare touch my sister."

The flame-user's breath hitched. He turned to meet the gaze of the person holding him—only to be swallowed by an abyss of blood-red eyes.

Cold. Unwavering. Unfazed by life or death.

Jayden squeezed harder.

CRACK.

The man winced, stumbling back as Jayden finally let go. He staggered toward his group, clutching his arm, disbelief plastered on his face.

The rest of the Orbius members sneered.

"What? That's it?" One of them chuckled. "You're only at the Peak of the Pink Plane. You think you scare us?"

Jayden sighed, shaking his head. "I don't want to waste my time." His voice was eerily calm. "Leave now, and you get to walk away in one piece."

That statement only made them laugh harder.

"Scared, huh?" a man with a long, muscular tail smirked. "All bark and no bite."

Then he struck.

His tail lashed at Jayden with tremendous force, the air howling as it swung.

But to Jayden, it moved as if underwater—slow, predictable.

With a casual motion, he caught the tail mid-strike.

The tail-user's smirk vanished.

Before he could react, a swirling Rasengan formed in Jayden's free hand.

BOOM!

The attack blasted the tail-user off his feet. His body spun uncontrollably through the air like a ragdoll before crashing against the alley wall with a sickening THUD.

Jayden blinked. "Huh. That's new."

The rest of the Orbius group stared at their fallen comrade in shock.

"He—He knocked out Poiser in one hit!?" one of them stammered.

"Impossible!" another muttered.

The super-speed user gritted his teeth. "He just got lucky! Hit him before he uses that wind attack again!"

A smirk almost formed—but then he remembered who he was.

Instead, he simply sighed.

The rest of the Orbius fighters roared as they charged him.

Jayden, deadpan, turned to Lolly, who was calmly bandaging the injured young man.

"You done soon?" he asked.

"Yeah," she replied without looking up. "You should be done soon too, right?"

The man she was helping, who had been convinced Jayden was doomed, stared at her in disbelief.

"How is she so confident? He's outnumbered and outmatched!"

But that belief didn't last long.

The flame-user, enraged from his earlier humiliation, rushed forward, flames surging around his fists.

"FEEL MY FLAME!"

Jayden ducked effortlessly, his movements smooth and precise.

Then, he formed quick hand seals.

"My turn."

Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!

A massive sphere of fire engulfed the flame-user. He screamed, rolling on the ground before slamming into a wall, unconscious.

The super-speed guy barely managed to douse the flames with water , panting.

"Shit, he's got fire elemental attacks too! We just have to avoid getting hit, and we can—"

A hammer the size of a boulder came crashing down toward Jayden's head.

BANG!

Dust and debris exploded from the impact.

The hammer-user laughed. "You're DONE!"

But his laughter cut short when the dust settled.

There was no body.

Just a log crushed into smithereens.

His blood ran cold.

"—Behind you."

He barely turned before two Rasengans crashed into his chest.

"Rasengan Barrage!"

His body spun like a top, flung backward before colliding with the still-burning flame-user.

The super speed guy was ready to charge forward when he saw his allies completely knock out, totally dominated turning to face Jayden he was shock to see two of them.

The super-speed fighter's breath came in short, ragged gasps. His hands trembled at his sides.

No... This isn't possible.

He was no fool—he had seen prodigies before. But this? This was something else entirely.

"First, he's a Visionary with those terrifying eyes... Then an Elementalist, throwing out fire techniques like candy… And now... a Superhuman!? He has a cloning ability!?"

His mind reeled, trying to rationalize what he was seeing. Someone possessing two ability types was already an anomaly—those individuals were priceless gems, sought after by the strongest factions. But three? That was unheard of.

If Jayden belonged to some hidden powerhouse... if he was under their protection...

A shiver ran down his spine.

No. I can't fight this monster. I need to run!

His instincts screamed at him to escape, but Jayden's clones stepped forward, speaking in eerie unison.

"Guess which one of us is real, and we'll let you go."

The super-speed fighter's pulse pounded in his ears. His eyes darted between the two identical figures, each holding a swirling Rasengan in their palm. The energy condensed within the orbs crackled ominously, promising devastation.

He had no choice.

Fuck it! If I have to bet, I'll bet on my instincts!

He lunged at the Jayden on the left, dagger gleaming in his grip. The blade struck true—piercing through the skull with deadly precision.

For a fleeting second, relief washed over him.

But then—

POOF.

Smoke.

His heart stopped.

It was a clone!

A cold chill ran down his spine as realization struck.

Without wasting time he leaps up and attack the second one, " That must be the real one " he thought, throwing out his dagger, he pierce Jayden skull perfectly.

He heave a sigh of relief but –

Something feels wrong.

Something feels very wrong.

Mid-air, his body still twisting from his attack, he sensed a presence behind him. Heavy. Looming.

His blood turned to ice.

Slowly, fearfully, he turned his head—

Jayden was there ,the real one .

Suspended mid-air. His crimson eyes locked onto him, void of emotion.

And in Jayden's outstretched palm—

A Rasengan.

But this one… was different.

It was massive around 12× bigger than usual.

Its energy churned violently, distorting the air around it. The very fabric of reality seemed to tremble under its power.

The speedster tried to scream—to beg—to move— to curse –anything at all

But his body refused.

All he could do was stare in horror as the attack descended.

Jayden's voice was eerily calm.

"Giant Rasengan."

BOOOOOOOOOM!

The earth exploded.

A thunderous shockwave erupted as the attack made contact, the sheer force shattering the ground beneath them. The fighter's body was driven into the earth, the impact creating a massive crater that swallowed the surrounding area in dust and debris.

For a long moment, silence reigned.

Then—

A single figure emerged from the settling dust.

Jayden.

His clothes were ruffled, his expression as unreadable as ever.

The system announced.

He glanced at the battlefield—his fallen opponents, the destruction he had wrought. His gaze remained impassive, as if none of this was worth reacting to.

A small sound—

Then a blur of movement—

Lolly crashed into him, her tiny arms wrapping around his waist in a tight hug.

Jayden blinked.

"...You're not hurt right?," he asked.

Lolly didn't answer, just clung to him.

With a quiet sigh, he patted her head.

In the shadows of the alleyway, the wounded young guy sat frozen. His body ached, but the pain was nothing compared to the chaos raging in his mind.

His wide eyes darted between the battlefield and the figure standing amidst the devastation.

This isn't real. This can't be real.

A Pink Plane fighter had just annihilated a group of warriors—all at the Blue Plane. That alone should have been impossible. But that wasn't what left him breathless.

No, it was something far worse.

Jayden hadn't just overwhelmed them with sheer strength. He had wielded three different ability types.

Three.

A Visionary, with those terrifying red eyes.

An Elementalist, with the raw, condensed power of a wind and fire elemental attack.

A Superhuman, capable of creating perfect clones.

The young man's thoughts spiraled. Someone possessing two ability types was already a once-in-a-generation prodigy—a rarity so valuable that entire factions would wage war just to recruit them.

But three?

That was impossible.

His breath hitched.

What... What is he?

Jayden turned. His crimson gaze locked onto the injured man, expression unreadable. The cold indifference in those eyes sent a chill down his spine.

For a moment, neither of them spoke. Jayden simply stared.

Waiting.

The silence stretched, heavy and suffocating. The young man suddenly realized—Jayden was expecting something.

A response.

A reaction.

A thank you.

The absurdity of it shattered what little composure he had left.

His lips parted before he could stop himself.

"...Who the hell are you?"
