Catte suddenly woke up and didn't realize that it was already the third day—the day Ruby was supposed to be discharged from the hospital. Panicking, he rushed out of his room, only to find Colin casually preparing breakfast for him.
"Hey, sweetheart, come eat first," Colin said cheerfully.
"I don't have time to eat—I need to check on Ruby," Catte replied while quickly putting on his winter jacket.
Before he could leave, Colin grabbed him by the wrist and pushed him down onto a chair.
"You're probably starving. Eat first," Colin insisted.
Catte had no choice but to follow Colin's orders and eat the breakfast prepared for him. After finishing their meal, the two of them headed straight to the hospital to pick up Ruby.
Upon arriving at the hospital, Catte immediately rushed to Ruby's room. The little girl was sitting on the bed, kicking her feet with a bright smile on her face as she played with a small plush toy. When she saw Catte, her face lit up even more.
"Brother!" Ruby called out excitedly, stretching her arms towards him.
Catte quickly walked over and scooped her into his arms. "Are you feeling better now, Ruby?" he asked, brushing her hair gently.
Ruby nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! The nurses were really nice to me! But I missed you… and Colin too!" she added, looking over at Colin, who leaned against the doorframe with a smirk.
"Missed me, huh?" Colin chuckled, stepping forward and ruffling Ruby's hair. "Well, we're here to take you home now."
The nurse overseeing Ruby's discharge walked in and handed Catte a few documents. "Ruby is completely fine now, but do make sure she gets plenty of rest at home. Her body is still recovering, so avoid any strenuous activities for the next few days."
"Understood. Thank you for taking care of her," Catte responded sincerely.
After completing the necessary paperwork, the three of them left the hospital together. Ruby happily held onto Catte's hand while Colin carried the small bag of her belongings. As they walked towards the car, Ruby suddenly spoke up.
"Oh! The people who took care of me kept asking me weird questions," she said, tilting her head.
Catte raised an eyebrow. "What kind of questions?"
"They asked if I was an Enigma or a Beta. I don't know what that means, so I just stayed quiet." Ruby pouted.
After hearing the words "Enigma" or "Beta," Ruby wanted to know whether she was an Enigma or a Beta. Catte and Colin took Ruby to the gender examination room, and the doctor revealed that Ruby was actually an Enigma, meaning that if she wanted to reproduce, she would only need a Beta partner.
Upon hearing the doctor's words, Catte immediately held Ruby tightly, feeling deeply worried.
(In Colin's car)
Ruby asked,
"Abang... what is an Enigma?"
Colin replied,
"An Enigma is like your brother, while a Beta is like me. So, if you want to get married, you need to find a Beta like me. But actually, your brother is an Omega (Bottom), while I am an Alpha (Top)."
Upon hearing Colin's words, Ruby suddenly burst into tears.
"Eh, eh, eh... Did I say something wrong?? I was just answering your question," Colin said, confused.
"I want to be an Omega! Like my brother! Ishh... ishh..." Ruby cried.
Catte couldn't help but laugh as he watched Ruby wanting to be like him, while Colin felt jealous.and they're continue to go home.
