Kade did come the next day, just as he said he would. And early in the morning, at that.
"I won't take long," he promised through the closed doors, "I just have a few things I need to say, and then I'm leaving you alone…"
And so, Felix reluctantly opened the door.
"You have three minutes."
"Fifteen."
"Five and a half," Felix compromised. He pulled out his phone and turned on the timer. "Now, go."
Kade lifted his brows, slightly amused by Felix's precision, but since his time was so limited, he didn't comment on that. Instead, so unlike him, he got straight to the point.
"I've decided not to bring up you joining the pack for now," he explained calmly. "I was a bit too rash yesterday, I understand that it is a big decision."
…Was it really that easy? Felix glared at Kade suspiciously, not believing the man had given up so fast, not without some ridiculous reasons and conditions.
