Chapter 25: A Fortunate Mistake
25.1 Mutia's Information
Mutia's Room
The atmosphere in Mutia's room was silent, yet her mind refused to stay calm. Since last night, she kept thinking about how freely her attendants had laughed. Something about it made her curious.
"Oh yeah, I wanted to ask about last night… Why were you all laughing so much, eh?" she suddenly asked, looking at her attendants, who were busy tidying up the room.
The attendants exchanged glances before one of them finally answered, trying to hold back laughter.
"About Kak Liza, Kak?"
"Yeah… why?" Mutia narrowed her eyes, sensing that she had missed something.
One of the attendants cleared her throat before speaking, though her expression was filled with amusement.
"That, Kak… The information you gave… was very wrong."
Mutia frowned, growing even more confused. "Oh, really?"
Another attendant chimed in, this time breaking into small laughter.
"Yeah, Kak, the meaning of 'binal' isn't like a zombie… It's more like… a naughty girl."
Mutia's eyes widened instantly. "Hah?!"
"Yes, Kak! It means something like 'wild,' 'mischievous,' or 'flirty'…" another added.
Mutia remained silent, trying to process the information. "Ah, are you serious?" she asked hesitantly, still unsure if they were joking.
"Just check the internet if you don't believe us," one of them suggested, covering her mouth to suppress her laughter.
Without wasting time, Mutia grabbed her phone and quickly typed the word into a search engine. The moment she read the actual meaning—'wild,' 'mischievous,' and 'flirty'—her reaction was instant.
She immediately covered her mouth with both hands, and her phone slipped onto the bed. Her eyes widened, and she held her breath. Slowly, she turned to look at her attendants, who were now struggling to contain their laughter.
"Ya Allah… What did I just tell Liza?!" she whispered weakly. Her usually calm face was now flushed with embarrassment.
That was the breaking point. The attendants burst into laughter.
"Kak! Imagine if Liza actually misunderstood and acted that way?!" one of them exclaimed.
"Ya Allah, if she really behaved wildly in the palace… not just you, Kak, but the entire kingdom would be in chaos!" another added.
Mutia, who had been stiff moments ago, could only offer a strained smile. Oh, this is a disaster… she thought.
"Luckily, you only gave her the wrong info… At most, she'll just be a little embarrassed. But if she had actually walked around like a zombie, we'd probably laugh until we fainted!" one more attendant quipped, making the room erupt in even louder laughter.
Mutia, who was still processing everything, finally let out a small smile. The image of Liza walking like a zombie while scratching her body was absurd beyond words.
"Kak, just wait here. It won't be long before Liza realizes the mistake and comes back. When she does, just apologize and explain everything. I'm sure she'll understand," one of the attendants suggested, patting Mutia's shoulder.
Mutia let out a long sigh. "Alright… I'll wait here," she replied with a nod. Though she still felt a bit uneasy, hearing her attendants' confidence reassured her.
Deep inside, Mutia could only pray that Liza would truly understand the misunderstanding. Because if she didn't… the entire palace might be in for an unexpected spectacle.
25.2 A Hilarious Misunderstanding
In the Training Room
Nabila and her friends had already gathered in the training room, waiting for Rizky and his group to arrive. While waiting, Nabila tried improvising her dance moves. Not long after, Rizky and his friends entered the room.
As Rizky walked toward Nabila with a warm smile, she froze. Her eyes sparkled, fixed on Rizky as if admiring him. Rizky returned her gaze with an equally charming smile.
Noticing this, Cindy nudged her friends. They grinned mischievously, letting the moment unfold without interruption. But suddenly, the door swung open.
Liza entered with confident strides. However, to everyone's surprise, her steps were… unusual.
Instead of walking gracefully like she normally did, Liza dragged her feet like a zombie. Her arms were raised at chest level, occasionally scratching her waist while letting out a strange growling sound.
Everyone turned to her with puzzled expressions.
Cindy's eyes widened, her mouth slightly agape in disbelief.
Qadir could only whisper Astaghfirullah, while Ahmad chuckled in amusement.
"What's wrong with her? She looks like a zombie," Zikri asked, confused.
"She's beautiful, but why is she acting like that?" Rayan added, equally baffled.
Nabila stared at Liza, her expression a mix of curiosity and confusion. Rizky, unable to hold back his laughter, finally spoke up.
"Eh, Liza? What's going on with you?"
Liza paused for a moment, staring at Rizky with exaggerated dramatics.
"I… just wanted to get your attention," she said slowly, as if playing out a dramatic scene.
Rizky chuckled. "Well, you've got my attention now. So, what's next?"
Liza flashed a wide smile, glancing briefly at Nabila before raising her eyebrows playfully.
"Oh, nothing. That's all," she answered casually, dropping her zombie act.
Everyone in the room chuckled, still wondering what was really going on.
But Liza wasn't done yet.
"Oh, wait, there's more," she suddenly added. "I want you to teach me this dance in my room later. And after that, I want you to be my escort at Abang Zaki's wedding. What do you say?"
Silence filled the room.
Nabila, who had been merely observing, suddenly felt a pang of jealousy. Her face changed, clearly showing her displeasure.
"That's not possible!" she blurted out.
Liza turned to her quickly. "Eh? Why not?"
Nabila tried to control her expression, but her voice still held a slight edge.
"Because Rizky isn't good at dancing. How can he teach you?" she replied, trying to sound neutral.
Liza looked at Rizky for confirmation.
Rizky nodded slightly. "Yeah. I'm not good at dancing."
Hearing that, Nabila smiled in relief, but Liza wasn't ready to give up.
"Then what about the escort thing?" Liza pressed further.
Rizky glanced at Nabila before answering.
"I… I can't do that either," he said hesitantly but clearly enough to make Nabila smile a little more.
"Eh? And why not?" Liza insisted.
Rizky looked at Liza with a faint smile.
"This isn't just about dancing… It's also about feelings."
Liza raised an eyebrow, staring at Rizky meaningfully.
"Ah, so your feelings are only for her?" she murmured teasingly.
Without thinking, Nabila immediately responded.
"No, it's for the both of us."
Silence fell over the room once again.
Everyone turned to Nabila, who suddenly realized she had just blurted out something rather revealing.
Liza smirked in triumph.
"Oh, so it's you?" she mused. "Alright then, let's see who wins in the end."
With that, she walked out of the room gracefully.
Nabila and Rizky exchanged glances, while Cindy and the others began whispering among themselves.
Liza's antics today had certainly left an unforgettable impression.
What will happen next?
Will Nabila finally realize her feelings?
Or will Liza become even bolder in approaching Rizky?
Let's wait and see!
