It's been a week since Vlad left for his trip to Dubai. I've been left all alone in this mansion with Vlad's workers, and his two persistent persian cats that love to jump on me every chance they get.
I'm so bored all alone..and this guy is way too busy to even reply to my texts…
I curl up on the bed, staring at the "unseen message" I sent to Vlad 3 days ago on my phone.
But just as I was about to set my phone down, it started vibrating! Signaling an incoming call…from Vlad!
I immediately picked it up, "Hello..? Vlad..?" I asked, my heart skipping a beat as I waited for his voice on the other end.
"Yeah, It's me. I'm sorry I wasn't able to reply to your messages.." Vlad's voice came through the phone.
A smile spread across my face as I heard his voice, "It's okay..I didn't mind at all." I replied, my voice softening.
"What have you been up to? Is everything alright?" Vlad's voice held a note of concern..
"No, everything's fine…I'm just..so bored, it's not like I have any friends either.." I sighed, pouting on the phone even though Vlad couldn't see it.
Vlad chuckled, "I feel bad for you now. I'll be home soon, why don't you order some stuff online? You can use my card."
My eyes lit up at his offer, is he trying to make up for being away? "Aw, seriously? Thank you! I promise I won't spend too much…by the way, uh, where did you keep it again..?" I asked, trying to sound innocent.
"It's in the drawer next to my bed. Go to my bedroom, you'll find it there." Vlad replied to my question.
"Okay, thank you..! I'll see you soon then, take care!" I said before hanging up. I smiled at myself, I definitely won't spend too much…
I got up from the bed, happily heading towards Vlad's bedroom.
But as I opened the door, I was hit by how massive the space was! A king sized bed sat in the center, surrounded by walls painted a rich french navy. "It's even bigger than mine!" I thought. Why does this man need so much space to sleep on anyway…
I rummaged through the drawers, opening them one by one, I couldn't find his card anywhere…"Where is it..?" I muttered in frustration. Finally, as I opened the last drawer, I spotted the shiny credit card, all ready to be mine!
"Found it!" I giggled with excitement as I picked up his credit card. But my eyes caught something else beside his card, it seemed like an old photo..? But why is it torn apart?
I take the two torn parts of the photo and align them, to my surprise, it's a pretty older woman in the photo. I notice a little boy in the background, but far away from the woman. "Aw..is that Vlad as a child? He's so cute! I wonder why the photo is torn apart?"
I take the torn picture where Vlad is in it and also take the card and walk back to my room, giggling. "Ahh! What should I buy first~?" I mutter to myself in excitement as I settle into the warm covers of my bed, getting my IPad ready to browse through different sites.
I scroll down, there's so many things to choose from…maybe I should add all of them to my cart? I shook my head at the thought, "Spend it wisely, Annette. It's not your card…" I remind myself and start picking a few things I like.
I was on my ipad for so long that I didn't even notice when I dozed off and fell asleep.
10:00pm
Vlad gently knocked on Annette's door, "Annette? Sweetheart?" his voice called out softly from the other side.
Annette could almost hear him, but she felt like her body wouldn't respond. She couldn't bring herself to wake up no matter how much she tried.
Vlad cracked the door open just slightly, peeking in to see if Annette was asleep. He tip-toed his way in, quietly closing the door behind him.
He approached her bed and sat on the edge of the soft mattress, his gaze lingering on her peaceful, unconscious form. He gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, letting out a soft chuckle.
He leaned in closer, his breath hovering over Annette's ear. His eyes darkened, his voice growing deeper as his smile vanished.
"I'll make things perfect again, Anne. I'll make sure you stay good this time."
