Dimensional Universe
Hell Dimension
The Dimensional Lords were discussing the issues of the real universe in his castle. This time, they had invited the Queen from the Limbo Dimension and had also sounded a warning to the neighbors on the border of Hell, as they had promised earlier.
The effect was promising.
The Dimensional Lords, who had been hesitant to act, saw that Mephisto, Dormammu, and the others were joining forces as well as the Queen of Limbo, and they immediately vowed they would not cause trouble in Limbo. The issue in Limbo was now resolved.
Magik also managed to infiltrate the Dimensional Lords camp. No lord would underestimate her just because she was half-demon and half-human. At least until the program was completed, the Queen would be taken seriously. Among the Dimensional Lords present, only she had the ability to enter the real universe. Moreover, the Queen's soul blade was an essential part of the plan.
"So, the next step is for you to attract Kamar-Taj's attention, and then let me enter the real universe, where I will hold off the God of Magic as much as I can?" Mephisto asked.
The Queen of Limbo refused immediately.
"This plan isn't ideal. Maybe you know, but I actually fought him before," she explained. "That time, he suddenly invaded the border dimension of Hell and launched an attack on us. My mentor, Belasco, and countless demons were slaughtered under his hands."
"And I failed," she continued. "In the end, my mentor gave me the authority over the dimension and weakened him as much as possible, allowing me to barely repel the God of Magic."
The three of the Dimensional Lords—except for Satanish—were skeptical.
It was possible that Magik had failed, considering there was no dimensional lord at the time. However, Velasco's death was definitely troubling.
Belasco wasn't like Tiboro or Aggamon. Even with Aaron's sneak attack, it was hard to believe he could be killed in Limbo. At the time, the magic net hadn't been created yet.
Mephisto and Dormammu were more inclined to believe that Velasco had fought off Aaron at great cost. When he was weakest and unprepared, Magik had launched a sneak attack, seized the authority over Hell's border, and killed him.
If it had been Aaron who absorbed half of Limbo's energy and killed Velasco by force, it would raise serious concerns.
This meant that the opponent likely had the power in their field to repeat the same feat. Didn't this challenge their own strength?
The reason they thought this way was because of the soul blade.
The special weapon in Illyana's hands could cause devastating effects on the magic side.
Velasco was a legitimate black necromancer, an ally of the ancient gods. Only Magik, favored by the ancient gods, had the chance of killing Velasco, nearly defeating him.
On the other hand, the words of Magik were full of contradictions.
Mentor?
Hah!
Velasco as a mentor? They were both Dimensional Lords, and they knew each other well. According to their intelligence, Velasco had never been kind to Magik. In fact, he had even punished her for specific reasons. Magik had every reason to backstab him.
No Dimensional Lord was an easy target. Anyone who believed Magik's story would be a fool.
Mephisto's eyes glowed with insight. "Magik, don't belittle yourself. I've seen you fight Aggamon and Tiboro. Your strength is remarkable. And with that sword that cuts all magic, what is a mere God of Magic? His magic is completely countered by you."
"Don't worry," Mephisto continued. "You only need to delay him for a while. Once our believers finish dealing with the three holy places, they will be able to help you take down the God of Magic. In front of us four Dimensional Lords, he can't even fly without wings!"
"You can avenge your mentor while you're at it," he added confidently.
But Magik was unmoved.
"If that's the case, wouldn't I still have to fight the most respected person?" she asked, her voice tinged with frustration.
"What he knows isn't just magic—his power is so immense that he can crush the divine sword bestowed by the ancient gods with one punch. The second punch directly turned my mentor into a puddle of mud."
"My sword and armor can't stop his blows at all!" she concluded.
"I heard you also fought with him, so you should know exactly what I mean."
Mephisto fell silent.
This girl was really saying things she shouldn't. If she insisted on bringing this up, she was forcing him to acknowledge it—was he supposed to say that his brain had been beaten out by the same opponent?
"I agree with you," Satanish interjected, "His strength is immense. Unless he comes to Hell, I can't take him down with my duplication powers."
Mephisto shot him a harsh look. "We don't need your nonsense."
Now, he was trying to convince Magik to go to the real universe and delay Aaron. Even if her strength was limited in the real universe, it was still far superior to a few low-level believers. She should be able to hold the God of Magic off.
Of course, this would be life-threatening. But if she didn't go, who else would?
"Satanish, you idiot!" Mephisto cursed inwardly, but he was already thinking about how to persuade Magik further.
None of the other three could travel to the real universe or exert much influence. The three believers were the most powerful assets they had, but they were easily dispatched by Aaron.
With the main body unable to show up, Aaron stood like an immovable mountain, blocking their path to the real universe.
"Mephisto" Dormammu spoke impatiently. "Do you have any other options?"
From that look, Mephisto could see the threat of coercion. Dormammu had grown increasingly frustrated with the delay.
Mephisto was also angry.
With such a powerful force now in the real universe, what could they do?
"If I had known this earlier, I might as well have invaded other universes!" Mephisto muttered. But now the arrow was on the string, and it had to be shot. After all they had invested, they weren't about to back down.
And as they were discussing, Mephisto's thoughts turned back to the magic net. It offered another path for rapid strength accumulation aside from invading the universe.
He wanted it.
But things weren't something they could just stop. If the God of Magic grew stronger, it would be easy for him to turn the tables and eliminate them.
The two sides were now locked in a deadly feud that could only end in death.
"Are we going to bring in other Dimensional Lords?" someone asked. "What will we use as bait?"
"The Purple Dimension?" came a suggestion.
"That's it! The Purple Dimension!" Mephisto exclaimed.
Just as they were hashing out these plans, Limbo was stirred.
A demon covered in green suddenly appeared from the sky.
If Magik or Aaron were present, they would recognize this demon—Captain Nastil, who had been revived by Velasco earlier but had quit before the battle.
After fleeing from the battlefield, he had returned to the castle, waiting for news from the front. But the demon army was gone, and Limbo itself had been shaken up.
Nastil knew something had happened to Velasco. That mysterious human mage was causing havoc. Even the dimensional lord couldn't stop him.
Although he hadn't received the final news, Nastil knew that no matter who had won, he wouldn't be in a good position.
Velasco didn't need a runaway coward, and neither did the human mage.
Thinking of Velasco's strange interest in Liana, Nastil decided to steal Velasco's spellbook and, using Hell's border gate, travel through time.
There, he mastered all the magic in the book and became a truly powerful black mage.
Now stronger, Nastil returned to find out what had happened.
After asking a demon, he discovered that Limbo's flag had changed since the battle. The human necromancer had been repelled, Velasco had been killed, and the half-demon Liana had become the new Lord of Hell's border.
This enraged Nastil, who hated Liana. She had become the ultimate victor, while he had been struggling alone in a different place.
When he heard that Liana wasn't in Hell's border, he briefly thought of seizing the opportunity to take over.
However, this plan was quickly dashed when a demon in a dragon suit told him that Liana had formed an alliance with three mighty Dimensional Lord to invade the real universe.
Each of the Dimensional Lord was more powerful than Velasco.
For now, Nastil dismissed the idea of revenge. Even though he had learned all the magic from Velasco's spellbook, his strength couldn't exceed Velasco's form as the dimension lord.
Facing Illyana's powers, and the even more formidable Dimensional Lords, he would need allies.
"I need allies!" he thought desperately. "I need a base!"
"Only Dimensional Lords can fight Dimensional Lords!" he declared. "I need to match Liana's position in Limbo. Even involve the real universe!"
With these thoughts, Nastil plotted his next move.
In the real universe:
"The Dimensional Lords want to use the Purple Dimension as a reward to attract other Dimensional Lords to trouble me?" Aaron said, incredulously.
Mephisto had run out of options, so this was his desperate move.
The Purple Dimension was indeed a dimension, but what use was it? Aggamon had mastered it, but what was it worth now?
This decayed area could only attract third-rate Dimensional Lords and second-rate mages.
Let them come—he'd gladly accept this gift. Sending food across thousands of miles was a light gift, but one heavy with meaning.
When the time came, he'd enjoy the takeout while sending Magik back. Everything would be perfect.
For now, though, he hoped Mephisto would send him even more "gifts."
But first, he needed to accept the one that was already on its way.
