Rei had finally achieved his dream job, ready to meet his parents' expectations and build a happy life—a loving wife, adorable children, and a peaceful future with his family. But fate had other plans. He, along with many others, was summoned by the Divine Will of the Azure Planet.

The only way back home was to ascend the World Tower and open the topmost door. Determined to reunite with his family, Rei set his sights on this impossible challenge.

But unlike the others, Rei was a bookworm—unfamiliar with games, experience points, levels, or skills. Left behind in the race for survival, he struggled to adapt. His chance came when he stumbled upon a Divine Relic, an artifact of unimaginable power. Yet, fate was cruel. The relic chose another.

Unwilling to accept his failure, Rei tried to claim it by force—only to be consumed by the Fire of Truth. The chosen one walked away with the relic, leaving Rei behind, broken and burning.

His body was destroyed. His humanity stripped away. His status as an Awakener revoked.

Only fragments of his past remained—memories of warmth, of laughter, of a self he could barely recall. As those small, precious moments faded, something else emerged. A part of him he had buried long ago.
