Chapter 159 -  Is a Family of Mice a Gang Beatdown?

The battle between the Rattata and Lillipup resembled a street brawl between stray cats and dogs—utter chaos.

[Just knowing one of them "won" hurts my soul.]

[Can't even roast this—it's pure noob vs. noob. I'm guilty too.]

[Not a single move used. Peak cringe.]

[To them, it was epic…]

Su Feng clapped, refocusing the group. "Regular viewers already spotted the issues. Let's hear it."

Jin raised his hand. "Zero move commands. Vague orders confused the Pokémon."

"Correct," Su Feng nodded. "Random shouting harms more than helps. Letting Pokémon act independently can be better—they know their limits. But battles aren't cricket fights. Trainers must strategize: type matchups, move pools, predicting opponents."

He elaborated for an hour, covering basics like status effects, critical hits, and terrain. "Now pair up and practice! Xiao Da—no Snorlax. It's banned for being OP."

Pairs formed quickly:

Xiao Die (Tinkatink) vs. Xiao Da (Tandemaus)

Li Na (Applin) vs. Lin Man (Skwovet)

Eevee Boy vs. Yao Tian (Wooloo)

Zhang Wei (Wurmple) vs. Lu Ming (Wurmple)

Jin stood awkwardly alone until Su Feng waved him over. "You're with me. Growlithe vs. Scorbunny. Teacher-student special."

"…Fair enough," Jin sighed.

Battle 1: Wurmple vs. Wurmple

"Wurmple, Tackle!"

"Wurmple, Tackle back!"

The twin bugs collided headfirst in a loop of dull thuds.

"Such… purity," Su Feng muttered. "If they evolve into Silcoon and Cascoon, we'll get a 'Harden' showdown straight outta the anime."

Battle 2: Tandemaus vs. Skitty

Xiao Da's Tandemaus swarmed Xiao Die's Skitty with playful nips. The cat Pokémon retaliated with Fake Out, slapping one mouse dizzy.

[Is this 2v1 cheating?!]

[Nah, Tandemaus counts as one 'mon. Also, since when do mice fight cats?]

[Fair point. Nature's unfair.]

Su Feng chuckled. "If Tandemaus is cheating, wait till you see a Maushold's Population Bomb. That's a full-on riot."
