Every time he was surrounded by a group of adorable little girls, Takashi had the sudden urge to get married and have a child.
If he had a daughter, there wouldn't be a single delinquent within a thousand miles of her.
Come to think of it, wasn't it legal to get married right after graduating high school in Japan?
"Alright, don't worry, everyone will get a turn."
Takashi carefully signed each name, then reached into his bag for his camera, just as he was about to look for someone to help take the picture.
Just then, he spotted Narii returning and waved her over. "Narii, can you take a photo for us?"
Narii walked over, glancing at the little girls gathered around Takashi. She took the camera while teasing, "Are these your wings too?"
Takashi picked up the pink-haired little girl who had first asked for an autograph. When she held up a peace sign, he did the same.
"Three, two, one... Say cheese!"
Just as Narii pressed the shutter, the little girl suddenly leaned in and planted a kiss on Takashi's cheek with a loud "smooch!"
Narii's smile vanished instantly.
Taking a photo was one thing, but why was she kissing him?
Did this little brat even know what she was doing?
Takashi sighed and looked at the little girl, gently tapping her nose with his finger as he patiently explained, "ladies shouldn't go around kissing people, okay?"
"I've only ever kissed my big brother and my dad," the girl said in a babyish voice.
"Alright, alright, the picture's taken, how much longer do you plan on holding onto him?"
Narii took two steps forward and unceremoniously lifted the little girl off him.
"Come on, let's continue our date."
Ignoring the envious and resentful gazes from the other little girls, Narii grabbed Takashi's hand and pulled him away.
Takashi was speechless. "You're seriously jealous of a kid?"
"Yes, I am! Why does she get to kiss your face? Even I haven't kissed you yet!" Narii's voice was thick with jealousy.
It was good that the guy she liked was so attractive—it proved she had good taste in men.
But Takashi was a little too attractive.
From married women to little girls, he was irresistible across all age groups.
Where did this seductive demon come from?
Narii had already made up her mind—once they got married, she would keep Takashi locked up at home to take care of the kids.
No relatives, no friends, no visitors allowed.
Takashi didn't want to argue with her and changed the subject. "By the way, why did you walk away earlier? That's not like you."
He still remembered how Narii and Kaguya were constantly butting heads.
But when it came to Akari, she had actually made space for her.
Narii smiled. "Because she's not worth my attention, and there's no way you'd ever like a girl like her."
If it had been someone like Kaguya or Nagisa, she definitely wouldn't have left.
But since it was just Akari, she wasn't worried in the slightest.
She knew Takashi would never fall for someone like her.
Takashi squinted at her. "You think you know me that well?"
Narii met his gaze. "Would you like her?"
Takashi stared back for a while before breaking into a smile and shaking his head. "No."
Very few guys would want a girlfriend who dressed so revealingly.
Besides, Takashi had no patience for airheaded girls.
Dating someone like that would be exhausting—there'd be no common ground, and the relationship wouldn't last.
Narii smiled as well. "Then that settles it."
Their school was one of the most prestigious in Japan.
The students around them were all incredibly capable.
If Takashi were actually interested in someone like Akari, Narii would have dragged him straight to the neurology department for a check-up.
…
At 5 PM, after parting ways with Narii, Takashi didn't head straight to Chiba. Instead, he returned home to put away the clothes they'd bought.
"This is the last date of the day."
Takashi changed out of the outfit he wore for his date with Narii and picked out something different.
Everyone had their own preferences and personalities, so Takashi always dressed accordingly.
When going out with Utaha and Eriri, he went for an otaku style.
For his dates with Maki, he dressed in a more casual look.
When meeting with Hiratsuka Shizuka, he made sure to give off the appearance of a clueless yet pure-hearted college student.
He had noticed a pattern—
The older the woman, the more she preferred younger men.
Meanwhile, girls his age were more into older guys.
For this date, he picked out a white hoodie, straight-cut jeans, white sneakers, and a crossbody bag.
After changing, he turned to his collection of wigs.
Scanning over them, his gaze finally settled on one with soft bangs.
Shizuka didn't like overly assertive men—she was more drawn to gentle and slightly vulnerable guys.
The type who yielded rather than resisted.
After selecting his wig, Takashi browsed through his collection of glasses and picked out a pair of black half-rimmed frames.
Once he had meticulously put together his look, he nodded in satisfaction.
Checking the time, he realized it was already six o'clock.
Although it hadn't taken him long, time had flown by.
Takashi quickly shut the door and made his way to his meeting spot with Shizuka.
Unlike his earlier trip to Chiba by train, this time, he was riding in Shizuka's car.
This was why older women were great—
They were considerate.
Leaving his house, Takashi walked toward the civic center.
The road beside the park was lined with bare trees, adding to the evening chill.
On a normal day, the sun wouldn't have set so early, but today, due to the weather, the surroundings were already growing dim.
The station was crowded with shoppers, people rushing home, and students finishing their club activities. The air was filled with voices, making the streets lively and noisy.
As Takashi moved through the square, the sounds of the crowd filled his ears.
A surge of people had just exited the station ahead, forcing him to slow his pace.
The road was packed with stationary cars, most likely waiting to pick someone up or enter a nearby parking lot.
Not long after he arrived, a sleek black sports car glided to a stop in front of him.
The left-side window rolled down, revealing a stunning, mature beauty.
"Good evening, big sis."
Takashi flashed her a sweet smile.
Not only was his smile sweet, but his words were too.
He knew that Shizuka was sensitive about her age, so he always called her "big sis" instead of "auntie."
And it seemed she really liked that.
Shizuka gazed at Takashi's bright, cheerful expression and his clear, innocent eyes. The frustration in her heart melted away.
She really loved his eyes.
Like a clear mountain stream, pure and refreshing.
Shizuka smiled as well. "Get in."
Since it was a sports car, there were only two seats.
After getting in, Takashi fastened his seatbelt and took a moment to examine the luxurious interior.
The seats and dashboard were covered in premium leather, while the dials and controls gleamed with a metallic finish.
This was her beloved car.
"Here."
Shizuka handed him a gift box.
"What is this, big sis?"
"Open it and see."
Encouraged by her gaze, Takashi carefully opened the box.
The moment he saw what was inside, even he found himself momentarily breathless.
Lying inside the box was a wristwatch.
