Chapter 46 - Morax is Already an Old Man

Upon hearing that they could eat, Paimon became ecstatic.

"Yay!!"

"I want Golden Shrimp Balls!"

Without hesitation, Paimon began ordering dishes.

Hearing her, Jiang Chen smiled and didn't say much.

He called in the waiter and let Paimon order whatever she wanted.

The sudden appearance of several people in the room left the waiter confused.

When had they come in? Though puzzled, the waiter could tell these weren't ordinary people.

So, she didn't ask too many questions.

After all, it was the guests' privacy.

Especially the woman in palace attire with a gentle demeanor.

Such a person had never been seen in Liyue Harbor before.

Was she a noble lady from some hidden family?

But her clothing looked ancient.

Unaware of the waiter's thoughts, everyone began ordering.

Havria, in particular, was baffled by the unfamiliar dishes.

Had Liyue's cuisine developed to this level?

After glancing at the menu, she ordered some dishes that seemed familiar but had different names.

Once the orders were placed, the waiter left.

Havria walked to the window and looked outside.

Seeing the bustling Liyue Harbor, she couldn't help but sigh.

"Is this Liyue under Morax's rule?"

"It's truly remarkable."

"So peaceful and prosperous."

Watching the people below living happily, Havria felt genuine envy.

But it was only a fleeting feeling.

Everything was in the past.

There were no "what ifs."

She had been betrayed by her own people and died at their hands.

Though those who had betrayed her were also wiped out in the process.

It wasn't her doing, but the death of a god was something ordinary humans couldn't withstand.

Even if she was a weak god.

Those who still believed in her were likely descendants of her loyal followers who had survived.

Or perhaps descendants of the traitors?

Regardless, it was all in the past.

Seeing Havria standing by the window, lost in thought, no one disturbed her.

A god awakened from slumber, opening her eyes to a world that had changed beyond recognition.

This was no longer her era.

Perhaps Havria would need time to adapt to this new age.

While they enjoyed their lunch, a gathering was also taking place at Mt. Aocang.

The adepti had come together.

Those who hadn't witnessed Guizhong's return were equally shocked.

They couldn't believe Guizhong had been resurrected.

Seeing Guizhong, they thought they were dreaming.

It felt too unreal.

But Guizhong was standing right there in front of them.

This forced the adepti to accept that it was real, not a dream.

After learning the details and hearing that other adepti might also be summoned, everyone was thrilled.

This was incredible news.

Absolutely amazing.

Some impatient adepti even wanted to immediately gather the relics of their old friends.

So that the mysterious summoner could bring them back.

However, Zhongli stopped them.

"There's no rush."

"He won't leave Liyue."

"And he'll be settling here permanently."

"There will be plenty of opportunities."

With Zhongli's reassurance, the adepti calmed down.

Thus, the gathering began.

Zhongli sipped his wine, watching everyone with joy.

Noticing Xiao's restlessness, Zhongli spoke up.

"Tomorrow, take the relics of the other Yakshas to Jiang Chen."

"He's already back in Liyue Harbor."

"Once Indarias and the others are revived, you can go to The Chasm to find Bosacius's relics."

"While you're at it, handle the issues in The Chasm as well."

The Chasm was still under lockdown.

This couldn't continue indefinitely.

Some matters needed to be addressed.

"Understood!"

Hearing Zhongli's words, Xiao's eyes lit up.

He had no objections.

In fact, if not for this gathering, he would have already gone to retrieve the relics.

But with Zhongli's assurance, his anxious heart finally settled.

During the meal, Cloud Retainer introduced her disciple, Shenhe, to Guizhong.

Seeing Shenhe, Guizhong glanced at Cloud Retainer and couldn't help but tease.

"How come you and your disciple are so different?"

"Your disciple clearly isn't the talkative type."

"But you? You never stop talking. Such contrasting personalities."

Hearing this, Cloud Retainer's forehead twitched.

She was extremely dissatisfied.

But remembering that Guizhong had just been resurrected, she held back.

"Hmph!"

She snorted, refusing to engage.

She knew Guizhong's personality all too well.

Arguing with her would only lead to more outrageous remarks.

Amid the lively chatter, Ping couldn't help but ask Guizhong:

"Guizhong, what state are you in now?"

"You seem like a soul, but not quite?"

Ping was very curious about Guizhong's current state.

Though she had a physical form and could interact like a normal person, her existence was peculiar.

"I'm a Heroic Spirit!"

"After death, if one leaves behind great achievements and is remembered through legends and faith."

"Then they can be summoned as a Heroic Spirit."

Guizhong briefly explained what a Heroic Spirit was.

Hearing this, Ping was amazed.

"I see."

"So that's how it works."

"Truly remarkable."

"After being summoned, do you no longer die?"

Ping was curious. Since Heroic Spirits were similar to ordinary people, could they die?

This was her main concern.

The other adepti were equally interested.

Was the summoning temporary, or would they disappear?

If they could disappear, it would be truly heartbreaking.

"Even if I die, it doesn't matter."

"Heroic Spirits have a place to reside."

"After death, I can be summoned again."

"Or Jiang Chen can simply call me out with a word if he wishes."

Guizhong thought for a moment and explained based on the knowledge imprinted in her mind.

There was nothing to hide.

She was now effectively immortal.

And she possessed powerful weapons.

Her current strength far surpassed her past self.

Especially with her Noble Phantasm.

Though she retained her former abilities, her Noble Phantasm was an additional boost.

With this, she could even challenge Morax.

After all, Morax was now an old man.

And she? She was still a young god!

Thinking of this, it made perfect sense.
