Chapter 208 - Chapter 208: The Gathering Storm

Ochieng leaned back in the Maybach, his fingers tapping rhythmically against the glass. He had expected retaliation from Luxford, but Seline and Brian scheming together? That was a different beast altogether.

Ela shifted in her seat, studying him. "You're worried."

Ochieng scoffed. "Worried? No. Curious? Yes."

Walter chuckled from the driver's seat. "Curiosity killed the cat, boss."

Ochieng smirked. "Good thing I'm not a cat."

The Maybach pulled up at The Jade Pavilion, a high-end underground lounge reserved for the elite. Rolex stepped out first, scanning the area before opening the door for Ochieng.

Inside, the scent of vintage whiskey and power filled the air. The lounge was packed with billionaires, politicians, and underground figures, all engaged in hushed conversations over expensive drinks.

At a secluded table sat a man Ochieng hadn't seen in years—Gideon.

Gideon was a legend in the financial world, known for his ruthless acquisitions and a net worth that was rumored to be in the trillions. He took a slow sip of his brandy before locking eyes with Ochieng.

"It's been a while," Gideon said, his voice deep and measured.

Ochieng took a seat across from him, Ela and Rolex standing behind him like shadows. "You don't age, old man."

Gideon smirked. "And you don't change. Still making enemies faster than you make money?"

Ochieng chuckled. "Money is easy. Enemies make life interesting."

Gideon leaned forward, his eyes glinting. "I hear Luxford is furious. But that's not why I called you here."

Ochieng raised an eyebrow. "Then why?"

Gideon slid a black envelope across the table. "Because someone bigger than Luxford wants you gone."

Ochieng picked up the envelope and slowly opened it. Inside was a single sheet of paper.

One name.

Glowtune.

Ochieng's smirk disappeared.

Ela's fingers tensed around the edge of the table. "That's…"

"Yes," Gideon interrupted. "The real power behind the trillionaire circles. The one who decides who rises… and who falls."

Ochieng folded the paper and slipped it into his pocket. "And why would he be interested in me?"

Gideon swirled his brandy. "Because you're becoming too powerful."

Ochieng exhaled, his mind already calculating a hundred possibilities.

Glowtune… the name he had only heard in whispers.

Ela looked at him. "What now?"

Ochieng grinned, but his eyes were sharp. "Now? We shake the world."
