Banquet (3)

"Hey, Vael"
I heard the voice call out to me. I looked at the direction. Seekvaira was there with two girls her age beside her. I knew who they were-Sona Sitiri and Rias Gremory.
I had heard about the two of them, heck they were even referred to as "The three Princess of Underworld."
It was because they were the respective heirs of their clan, and each clan ranked high in the 72 pillars list.
I wondered what my name would be.
All three of them walked towards me.
"Greetings, Ladies." I said in the most mature voice I could. Of course, I was a child and so were they, but I looked older than them and girls loved being called ladies.
Especially children.
A smiled on all three of their face. They were only four or five so they could not be compared to their future selves.
"Greetings, Lord Vael."
Sona was the first to respond, performing a graceful princess bow while lightly holding the hem of her dress. "Greetings, Lord Vael."
Rias followed suit, mimicking her actions. "Greetings, Lord Vael."
Finally, Seekvaira did the same.
I smiled at them. Since we were in a political and formal setting. We had to refer each other as Lord and Lady. It was the rule.
"How have you been Seekvaira?" I asked the girl I knew. It had been a month since we last met so seeing her warmed my heart a bit.
"I am fine. How about you?"
"I am fine as well" I said to Seekvaira and turned towards the other girls. "It is the first time we have met, I have heard a lot about you two. It is a pleasure to meet you two"
"It is the pleasure to meet you as well." Sona replied and Rias continued "We have heard a lot about you as well, Seek-chan always mentions you."
Seek-chan?
I snorted
"Seek-chan?"
Rias instantly covered her mouth "I meant Seekvaira." Her face was now as red as her hair.
I looked at Seek-chan Oops-Seekvaira. She was also as red as Rias. Sona laughed, unable to hold her laugh but Seekvaira retorted-
"Don't laugh, So-tan"
Sona blushed as well.
I laughed and the girls glared at me in one sync motion.
'This will be fun.'
.
..
We were on the balcony—Seekvaira, Rias, Sona, and me. Surprisingly, I was enjoying myself.
They were talking about anime.
Yes. Anime.
I had just learned that Sona was also a closet anime fan, Rias was cultured, and Seekvaira… well, she was a hardcore mecha enthusiast.
"I want a mecha!" Seekvaira declared with enthusiasm.
"Detective Conan is the best!" Rias shouted right after.
Sona and I just nodded in agreement.
The classics have yet to come, I thought to myself.
The year was 1996 in the human world. In just a month, I'd finally get to visit and live there again. I was looking forward to it—
"Hey, Vael," Sona suddenly spoke, pulling me from my thoughts. "I heard you're being granted a territory in the Overworld. Is that true?"
I nodded. "Yes. I'll be leaving in a month."
"Wow! Really? Where will you go? Japan?" Rias asked excitedly, practically bouncing on her feet.
"Take me with you," Seekvaira added, her eyes gleaming with interest.
Even Sona looked intrigued.
"The location hasn't been decided yet, but once it is, I'll let you all know," I said with a grin.
"I wish our families had the same tradition as yours." Sona sighed.
She was referring to the long-held tradition of the Beleth Clan—where the heir, upon reaching the mature age of six, would be sent to another noble's territory to work and learn. It was similar to the system used by medieval kings.
"Well, I'm sure all three of you will be granted territories when you come of age."
They nodded in agreement.
"We should all get the same territory!" Rias exclaimed.
"We could play all day," Seekvaira added with a hopeful look.
"I doubt we'll have much time to play once we get our own territories," Sona pointed out, bursting their bubble.
"Yeah…"
Silence.
"Let's steal some wine," Seekvaira suddenly suggested, eyes twinkling with mischief.
I glanced at the other two. Their eyes were sparkling.
"Yeah," they said in unison.
"I don't think that's a good idea," I added, trying to be the voice of reason.
It fell on deaf ears.
"W-I-N-E," Rias spelled out dramatically, and the three girls turned their pleading eyes toward me.
I could literally see their thoughts written on their faces: 'Please. Get it for us.'
"You know, I could just order someone to bring i—"
PUFF!
A burst of pink smoke appeared beside us, clearing almost instantly.
I didn't even need to turn around—I already knew who it was.
Sure enough, there she was.
Serafall Leviathan.
I noticed a faint fluctuation in the magic around us.
'Barrier magic.'
I deduced.
She was in her magical girl outfit, but instead of a wand, she held a bottle of red wine. Five glasses floated around it.
"Magical Girl Levia-tan is here~!" she announced, striking a pose.
'Oh my god'. I cringed internally.
