September 6th
Saturday finally arrived, and I was a nervous wreck. I spent hours getting ready, trying on different outfits and doing my hair and makeup.
When Jack arrived at the library, I felt my heart skip a beat. He looked adorable in his worn jeans and faded t-shirt.
We spent the afternoon studying for our math test, but I couldn't help but steal glances at Jack. He was so focused and determined, and I found myself feeling drawn to him.
As we took a break and grabbed some coffee, Jack asked me about my interests and hobbies. I was surprised by how easy it was to talk to him, and before I knew it, we had been chatting for hours.
As the sun began to set, Jack walked me home, and we stood outside my front door, chatting and laughing.
I felt a spark of electricity as Jack's hand brushed against mine, and I wondered if he was going to kiss me.
But instead, he just smiled and said, "I had a really great time today, Emma. Would you like to do it again sometime?"
I nodded, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. "Definitely," I said, smiling back at him.
As Jack turned and walked away, I couldn't help but feel a sense of hope. Maybe, just maybe, this was the start of something special.
