Chapter 9 - The truth

The war had begun.

The dark army attacked, and many light warriors fell. One by one, the four cities were taken. The only city left was Biringan.

Luz stood at the border, facing Den and his massive army.

"Luz... do you surrender?" Den asked, his voice cold.

Luz clenched his fists. "Never. I'll die fighting."

Den smirked. "Then die."

The clash began.

Light warriors fought desperately, but they were losing. Den's forces were too strong.

Suddenly, Den raised his hand. "Stop."

The dark soldiers stepped back.

Luz was confused—why stop the attack now?

Then, he felt it.

A powerful presence.

Footsteps echoed. Someone was walking toward him.

Luz's eyes widened. He saw himself.

But this version had dark eyes.

---

Elsewhere in Biringan…

Elena led the medical team, healing the wounded. Ino slowly opened his eyes.

He sat up, his heart pounding. He had been unconscious, but now he woke up to the sight of war.

---

Back to Luz…

The Luz clone attacked.

Luz tried to fight back, but he couldn't defend himself. The clone was too strong.

Luz fell to the ground, gasping for breath.

"This… can't be…" he whispered weakly.

The clone raised its hand, ready to finish him.

But then—BAM!

A powerful kick sent the clone flying.

Luz looked up. Ino stood in front of him.

"Sorry I'm late," Ino smirked.

The battle around them continued. Den, Hook, Matthew, and the clone stood watching.

Luz gritted his teeth. They couldn't win this fight.

Suddenly—a blur moved through the battlefield.

Dark soldiers dropped dead, one after another.

The dark army panicked. "What's happening?!"

The figure stopped, standing among the bodies.

It was Munfa.

He grinned. "Luz was right. Follow me."

---

Inside Munfa's Hidden Village…

Luz, Ino, and Elena followed Munfa through a secret passage. The dark army couldn't follow.

They reached a peaceful village—but the people were thin and starving.

Munfa sighed. "This is why we steal… to survive."

Luz looked around. This was the cost of war.

Munfa turned to the villagers. "Listen up! I'm joining the light!"

The people murmured in surprise.

An old warrior stepped forward, looking at Luz.

"Who are you?" the old man asked.

Luz stood tall. "I am a light descendant."

The old man laughed. "No, you're not. There are no more light descendants."

Munfa crossed his arms. "See? Even I don't believe him."

The old man's expression turned serious.

"The last light descendant was Bin."

"Bin almost became a Twilight God—someone who wields both light and dark to bring balance."

Luz's breath caught.

"He could have saved the world," the old man continued. "But in the war… he was betrayed. By his own brother."

Luz's eyes widened.

His brother?

The dark descendant who started it all "Malakar".

The old man sighed. "After Bin's death, the world fell into darkness. That's why we built this village—to escape the war."

He looked at Luz.

"If you're really a light descendant… prove it. Go and destroy the dark forces."

Luz unsheathed the Sword of Light.

The people gasped.

Was this enough to prove i am light descendant?

To be continued…
