It took three days for us to arrive at Prima. I was glad to see it. I didn't like the river. I much preferred the harsh waves and rocking and rolling of the ocean. It was more alive.
The river was too quiet.
I wasn't alone in my views. Both Rowan and Anna were glad to see the city. There was something wrong with the river, but the sailors wouldn't tell us what.
They just gave ominous warnings against falling in.
We pulled into the river docks, right into the arms of fifteen heavily armed soldiers.
"Hold, captain." The leader said. "Why are you here?"
The captain handed the leader a letter. "Medicine delivery, from the Tumen." He said in a thick Adainic accent, his words clipped short.
"Good. You're on time." He pocketed the paper. "You can drop off the supplies here."
The captain nodded, and barked a few orders in Adainic.
I removed Ilargia from his holster.
- Change to a sword. I told him.
The staff shimmered into the image of a sword.
