I was running.
My heart beat hard in my chest, fear, something was chasing me.
I dashed down crowded city streets, dodging and weaving through seemingly endless foot traffic.
The sun burned high in the sky, and I could see my objective clearly. A temple, there was someone there who could help me.
The Protector trained warrior monks that made trained soldiers look like raw recruits.
I needed to reach his temple, the monks would help.
A wall of people loomed in front of me, I couldn't get passed them. I ducked into an alleyway and waited for the crowd to pass.
I must have lost him by now, whoever it was that was chasing me.
No, you thought you lost him before. Hurry.
I looked around the alleyway, before leaping into the air, catching hold of a windowsill.
There was plenty of purchase on these tall, rough yellow-brown walls, and the flat rooftops were easy enough to navigate. I should have done this earlier. There were no crowds to dodge up here.
