I walked through the Market district, seemingly browsing the stalls and shops. Some of the shopkeepers waved and greeted me warmly, a black stone sitting just in view from the road. I stopped at the spice merchant, her stall a heady mix of intoxicating smells and brilliantly coloured spices.
She slowly pocketed the white stone that had been on her stall.
"Master Lukas! It's great to have you back!"
"Hello Desi, how's Armat?"
"He's not doing so well these days, sir."
"I'm sorry to hear that. Do you think he'd appreciate a visit?"
She smiled warmly, "He'd love that sir. I'll let him know you're coming."
I raised my hand, "Actually, Desi I think I'd like to surprise him. When should I drop by?"
"Sometime later this evening would be nice, sir, oh, but you're not here to talk about my husband. What spices can I help you with today?"
"I'm feeling pretty adventurous, got anything special?"
